Beaconsfield (Boonwurrung: Kemgrim) is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 44 km (27 mi) south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Shire of Cardinia and City of Casey local government areas. Beaconsfield recorded a population of 7,267 at the 2021 census.The suburb has its own railway station.

The Cardinia Creek is a freshwater stream southeast of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, that flows from the Cardinia Reservoir in the Dandenong Ranges into the Western Port Bay between Tooradin and Koo Wee Rup. The creek forms majority of the boundary between the local government areas of the City of Casey and the Shire of Cardinia. It runs through the town of Beaconsfield and is home to much native flora and fauna.

Holm Park Recreation Reserve (sometimes referred to as Holm Park Reserve or simply Holm Park) is multi-sports complex in the Melbourne suburb of Beaconsfield. It includes three Australian rules football ovals (two with cricket wickets), four netball courts, and a skate park. Holm Park is the home of the Beaconsfield Eagles Football Club, which competes in the Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL). Holm Park officially opened on 13 April 2013 following several years of development. After entering into a partnership with the Cardinia Shire Council, the Richmond Football Club hosted an Australian Football League (AFL) pre-season match in 2016 at Holm Park. Richmond has also used the ground for several pre-season open training sessions, and its reserves team has hosted several Victorian Football League (VFL) games at the ground in 2017 and 2018. Because of redevelopment at Swinburne Centre, Richmond plated a number of home games at Holm Park during the 2025 VFL season.

Berwick College is a co-educational, public school for years 7 to 12 situated in the outer Melbourne metropolitan suburb of Berwick. It was once the largest single campus government secondary college in Victoria. In 2006 the school started downsizing with the majority of a block of portables removed. The school consists of approximately 1500 students and 200 teachers, principals and aides. At the state election in 2006, the Victorian Labor Party canvassed plans to build a junior campus of Berwick Secondary in the Timbarra Estate. This school would serve students in years seven to nine. The campus had been proposed, at past state elections, to act as a stand-alone campus. These ideas, however, were later rejected by the Government due to feasibility concerns. Berwick College has been subject to an act of student violence on school grounds. On 21 August 2019 police were called to Berwick Secondary College about 1.30pm after reports that about 15 to 20 students were involved in a fight resulting in the arrest of three students aged between 14 and 16.

It offers degrees in Information Technology, Psychology, Business and Commerce, Criminal Justice, Nursing, and Physical Education. It is situated in the City of Casey, one of Australia's fastest growing areas with approximately 2000 students attending the Campus. The campus covers an area of 55 hectares. A student accommodation building was completed in 2006 to stabilise the demand generated by both local and the vast number of international students. The camus opened in 1996 as a campus of Monash University. In 2018, it became a campus of Federation University. Federation's faculties have come and gone over the years and as of 2023 the School of Nursing and Healthcare Professions holds the majority of students on campus.

Berwick recorded a population of 50,298 at the 2021 census.It was named by an early leaseholder, Robert Gardiner, after his birthplace, Berwick-on-Tweed in Northumberland.

Nossal High School, also referred to as Nossal or NHS, is a government-funded mixed-sex academically selective secondary day school, located in the Melbourne suburb of Berwick, Victoria, Australia. The school (named after Sir Gustav Nossal, a prominent Australian immunologist and 2000 Australian of the Year) was established in 2010 and caters for students in Year 9 to Year 12. The school's curriculum follows American educator Howard Gardener's concept of the Five Minds of the Future which includes, for example, the absence of school bells, as students are expected to know when and where to be. Students have access to many extra-curricular programs, such as inter-school sport, debating, music, clubs/societies and various national and international competitions and creative-based events such as the Model United Nations Assembly and the Australian Computational and Linguistics Olympiad. As Nossal High School is part of the Select-Entry Network of Victorian selective schools (alongside Suzanne Cory High School, Mac.Robertson Girls' High School and Melbourne High School), prospective students must sit a 3-hour-long uniform entrance examination, testing their knowledge and reasoning in literacy and numeracy, with the 2017 exam attracting about 3,300 applicants; accepting only around 208 students into their Year 9 cohort. Nossal High School was ranked third out of all state secondary schools in Victoria based on VCE results in 2018.
