Avnei Eitan

Mechinat Avnei Eitan (Hebrew: מכינת אבנ"י אית"ן), also referred to as Leadership Yeshiva Academy in English, is a pre-military mechina which combines classical Yeshiva learning with the preparation for the service in the Israeli Defence Forces and leadership functions in Jewish communities. The mechina, the first of its kind for English speakers, was founded in 2004, on Moshav Avnei Eitan in the Golan Heights annexed by Israel in 1981.

Al-'Al (Arabic: الْعَال, romanized: al-ʿĀl, trans. "the high place"), is a former Syrian village in the southern Golan Heights, on the southern tributary of Wadi es-Samekh. Israel occupied the area during the Six-Day War. The village was abandoned and dismantled.During the French Mandate for Syria and Lebanon, the name was spelt "El Al" on French maps.

Natur (Hebrew: נָטוּר) is an Israeli settlement in the southern Golan Heights. The settlement was established as a kibbutz in 1980, after Israel occupied the area in the 1967 Six Day War. Eli-ad (Hebrew: אֵלִי-עַד) is an Israeli settlement organized as a moshav in the southern Golan Heights. Umm el-Qanatir, also spelled Umm el-Kanatir (Arabic: ام القناطر, romanized: Umm al-Qanāṭir, lit. 'mother of the arches'), also known as Ein Keshatot (Hebrew: עין קשתות, lit. 'spring of the arches'), is an archaeological site on the Golan Heights, whose main phase is dated to the mid-5th–8th centuries. Excavations have revealed a Roman-period settlement, first inhabited by pagans and later by Jews, who left behind the ruins of an exquisite synagogue when they abandoned the town after it being destroyed by the catastrophic 749 earthquake. The site is located 10 kilometres east of the Dead Sea Transform, one kilometre southwest of Natur.Identification attempts based on Jewish sources have led to two possible ancient names: Kantur, mentioned by Rabbi Menachem di Luzano in his book Ma'arikh (16th/early 17th century); and Qamtra, the name of a place mentioned in the Talmud and with a Jewish past dating back to the Byzantine period.

The Ruqqad is a wadi flowing in south-west Syria, and de facto also in Northeast Israel. It flows into the Yarmouk River, of which it is one of the main tributaries, and forms the topographical eastern boundary of the Golan Heights. It marks the south-east part of the de facto border between the Israel-annexed part of the Golan Heights and the Syrian-held part of the region.The Battle of Yarmuk between the Byzantines and Muslims in 636 took place in an area bordered by Wadi ar-Raqqad, close to its junction with the Yarmuk River.

Fik Airfield (also known as Pik) (ICAO: LLFK) is an airfield in the Golan Heights, occupied by Israel, near the Israeli settlement and kibbutz Afik. The airfield is used for private aviation activity and operated by the Golan Regional Council. Fik has seen traffic drop in recent years, but is used by Elbit Systems to test their Unmanned aerial vehicles. The airfield was the site of Israel's 2001 Kart racing championship, and there is talk of converting it into a race track.
