Umm el-Qanatir, also spelled Umm el-Kanatir (Arabic: ام القناطر, romanized: Umm al-Qanāṭir, lit. 'mother of the arches'), also known as Ein Keshatot (Hebrew: עין קשתות, lit. 'spring of the arches'), is an archaeological site on the Golan Heights, whose main phase is dated to the mid-5th–8th centuries. Excavations have revealed a Roman-period settlement, first inhabited by pagans and later by Jews, who left behind the ruins of an exquisite synagogue when they abandoned the town after it being destroyed by the catastrophic 749 earthquake. The site is located 10 kilometres east of the Dead Sea Transform, one kilometre southwest of Natur.Identification attempts based on Jewish sources have led to two possible ancient names: Kantur, mentioned by Rabbi Menachem di Luzano in his book Ma'arikh (16th/early 17th century); and Qamtra, the name of a place mentioned in the Talmud and with a Jewish past dating back to the Byzantine period.

Mechinat Avnei Eitan (Hebrew: מכינת אבנ"י אית"ן), also referred to as Leadership Yeshiva Academy in English, is a pre-military mechina which combines classical Yeshiva learning with the preparation for the service in the Israeli Defence Forces and leadership functions in Jewish communities. The mechina, the first of its kind for English speakers, was founded in 2004, on Moshav Avnei Eitan in the Golan Heights annexed by Israel in 1981.

Avnei Eitan (Hebrew: אַבְנֵי אֵיתָן) is an Israeli settlement organized as a moshav in the southern Golan Heights, located at an elevation of 385 meters (1,263 ft) above sea level. Located to the east of the Sea of Galilee, it falls under the municipal jurisdiction of Golan Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 811. It is part of the Hapoel HaMizrachi movement. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the Golan Heights illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.

Nov (Hebrew: נוֹב) is an Israeli settlement and religious moshav in the southern Golan Heights, under the administration of Israel. Located to the east of the Sea of Galilee, it falls under the municipal jurisdiction of Golan Regional Council. Haspin (Hebrew: חַסְפִּין), widely known as Hispin, is a religious Israeli settlement organized as a community settlement located in the southern Golan Heights. Geshur (Hebrew: גְּשׁוּר, lit. Bridging) is an Israeli settlement organized as a kibbutz on the ridge of the southern Golan Heights. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the Golan Heights illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this. In 2021 it had a population of 310.

Al-'Al (Arabic: الْعَال, romanized: al-ʿĀl, trans. "the high place"), is a former Syrian village in the southern Golan Heights, on the southern tributary of Wadi es-Samekh. Israel occupied the area during the Six-Day War. The village was abandoned and dismantled.During the French Mandate for Syria and Lebanon, the name was spelt "El Al" on French maps.

Gamla, alt. sp. Gamala (Hebrew: גַּמְלָא, lit. the camel) was an ancient Jewish city on the Golan Heights. It is believed to have been founded as a Seleucid fort during the Syrian Wars which was turned into a city under Hasmonean rule in 81 BCE. During the Great Revolt, it became an important stronghold for rebels and because of this Gamla is a symbol for the modern state of Israel and an important historical and archaeological site. It lies within the current Gamla nature reserve and is a prominent tourist attraction.

Eli-ad (Hebrew: אֵלִי-עַד) is an Israeli settlement organized as a moshav in the southern Golan Heights. It falls under the jurisdiction of Golan Regional Council and in 2021 had a population of 484.The international community considers Israeli settlements in the Golan Heights illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.

Gamla nature reserve is a nature reserve and archaeological site located in the center of the Golan Heights, about 20 km south to the Israeli settlement of Katzrin. It adjoins the Yehudiya Forest Nature Reserve. The nature reserve stretches along two streams, Gamla and the Daliot, and includes natural and archaeological attractions. Among the former are the largest nesting colony of griffon vultures in Israel, various other birds of prey, among a variety of wildlife and wild plants. Among the latter are the ancient city of Gamla and a Bronze Age dolmen field containing 716 dolmens. At the head of the Gamla stream there is a 51-meter high waterfall, the highest in Israel and the Israeli occupied territories, which dries up during summer and autumn.The reserve also contains several other sites, such as a memorial monument and the ruins of a Byzantine-period village. The memorial is dedicated to the Jewish Golan Heights settlers who were killed during the Israeli wars and as a result of attacks; the remains of the Christian village from the 4th–7th century CE, known by the Arabic name of Deir Qeruh, include a well-preserved monastery centered around a church with a square apse - a feature known from ancient Syria and Jordan, but not present in churches west of the Jordan River.

Kanaf (Hebrew: כָּנָף) is an Israeli settlement in the southern Golan Heights, organized as moshav shitufi, under the administration of Israel. One of four Golan settlements that overlook the Sea of Galilee, it falls under the jurisdiction of Golan Regional Council. The settlement began to be populated in 1991, and had a population of 466 in 2021.The international community considers Israeli settlements in the Golan Heights illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.
