Upper Borth is a small village in Ceredigion, Wales, part of Borth.

Llangorwen is a village located in the county of Ceredigion, Mid-Wales. Close to Clarach Bay and a mile north of Aberystwyth. The Church of All Saints just south of the village, is a grade II* listed building.Jutting out to sea the Sarn Gynfelyn shingle spit is located a few kilometres north of Llangorwen.

Wallog is a beach on the coast of Cardigan Bay north of Aberystwyth between Clarach Bay and Borth in the county of Ceredigion, Mid-Wales. A shingle spit named Sarn Gynfelyn originates from here. An old disused lime kiln is located at the end of this moraine. The lime was shipped into this spot, treated and then spread over the lands of the Wallog estate. Wallog lies on the route of the Ceredigion Coast Path.Although there is no direct road to Wallog beach, it can be reached by a public footpath, which follows a green lane to the beach, where seals and other wildlife are abundant.

Sarn Gynfelyn (or Sarn Cynfelyn) is a shingle spit on the coast of Cardigan Bay, in the county of Ceredigion, Mid-Wales, in the United Kingdom. It is located at Wallog, a few kilometres north of Llangorwen, close to Clarach Bay, south of Borth and north of the town of Aberystwyth. It extends, albeit with a single break, for a distance of 11km from the coast to a reef known as Patches or Caerwyddno.Similar landform examples are found at several points along the Cardigan Bay coast, known as sarnau. 'Sarn' (pluralised in Welsh as 'sarnau') is typically translated as 'causeway' or 'paved way'. These long banks which extend from the intertidal zone to the subtidal zone are thought to have originated as glacial moraines.

Borth Lifeboat Station (based in Borth, Ceredigion, Wales) was first established by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in June 1966. The station currently operates a D-class (IB1) lifeboat. The station was opened as a result of a campaign led by Aran Morris MBE who said that his memories of Arctic convoys of World War II inspired him to press for the lifeboat station because it used to take rescuers 20 minutes to get to Borth from Aberystwyth and Aberdyfi during an emergency.

Tirymynach (Welsh pronunciation: [ˌtir ə ˈmənaχ]) is a community in Ceredigion, Wales, also an electoral ward, which lies immediately to the north of Aberystwyth. Tirymynach is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and the Member of Parliament is Ben Lake (Plaid Cymru).This community includes the villages of Bow Street, Clarach, Dole, Llangorwen and Pen-y-garn. The area of the community is roughly 15 square km.

Glan-y-môr is a small village in the community of Tirymynach, Ceredigion, Wales, which is 76.4 miles (123 km) from Cardiff and 180 miles (289.7 km) from London. Glan-y-môr is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and the Member of Parliament is Ben Lake (Plaid Cymru).

Afon Clarach (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈklaraχ]; also known as the River Clarach) is a small river discharging into Cardigan Bay north of Aberystwyth. It flows through a largely agricultural and forested landscape except in its lowest reaches where its banks are crowded with holiday developments. The Clarach is formed at the confluence of the Afon Stewi and Nant Seilo at Penrhyncoch, with both their headwaters originating in low hills at the edge of the Plynlimon range. The course of the river takes it past the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences (a part of Aberystwyth University), and the village of Bow Street. Between Bow Street and Llangorwen, the river is joined by the Bow Street Brook. In past centuries, the upper reaches of the river have been affected by lead and silver mining and the quality of the river has suffered as a result. There is some organic pollution from diffuse agricultural inputs and from the discharge of treated sewage from the Bow Street sewage treatment works. The river discharges into the sea over the beach at Clarach Bay thus limiting the population of migratory fish able to access the river. Consequently, Atlantic salmon and sea-trout are rare, however brown trout, brook lampreys, millers thumb and stone loach are commonly found. Glan-y-wern is a hamlet in the community of Borth, Ceredigion, Wales, which is 78.2 miles (125.9 km) from Cardiff and 179.6 miles (289 km) from London. Glan-y-wern is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and is part of the Ceredigion constituency in the House of Commons.

Borth (Welsh: Y Borth) is a village and seaside resort in Ceredigion, Mid Wales; it is located 7 miles (11 km) north of Aberystwyth, on the Ceredigion Coast Path. The community includes the settlement of Ynyslas and the population was 1,399 in 2011. From being largely Welsh-speaking, the village has become anglicised; over 54 per cent of its residents were born in England. According to both the 1991 and 2001 censuses, 43 per cent of the residents of Borth were primarily Welsh-speakers.

Castell Gwallter, also known as Walter's Castle and sometimes Castell Penweddig, is the remains of a Norman motte-and-bailey castle situated on a large hill above the old village of Llandre (Llanfihangel Genau'r Glyn) in northern Ceredigion, Wales, four miles northeast of Aberystwyth.

Clarach Bay is a small bay on the coast of Ceredigion, Wales, to the north of Aberystwyth, where the Afon Clarach flows into the sea. It has given homes to the two main caravan parks of Clarach Bay Holiday Village and Glan Y Mor Leisure Park plus a few smaller ones for holiday makers, the coastal paths runs from Aberystwyth to Borth via Clarach.
