Talsarn Halt was a small railway station in a very rural location on the Aberayron branch of the Carmarthen to Aberystwyth Line in the Welsh county of Ceredigion. Opened by the Lampeter, Aberayron and New Quay Light Railway, the branch to Aberayron diverged from the through line at Lampeter.

Cribyn is a small village in Ceredigion, Wales, about 7 miles (11 km) north of Lampeter and with the villages of Troed y Rhiw, Mydroilyn and Dihewyd to the north.

Ystrad Aeron is a small village west of Felinfach on the A482 between Lampeter and Aberaeron, Ceredigion, Wales. It is part of the constituent community of Llanfihangel Ystrad.

Llanfihangel Ystrad (English "Vale of St Michael") is a constituent community in Ceredigion, Wales. It is named after the principal place of worship, St Michael's church at Ystrad Aeron.The total population of the community taken at the United Kingdom Census 2011 was 1,430.Villages within the community include Ystrad Aeron, Dihewyd, Cribyn and Temple Bar.

Talsarn is a hamlet in the community of Nantcwnlle, Ceredigion, Wales. It lies some 16 miles (26 km) south of Aberystwyth, 64 miles (103 km) north-west of Cardiff, and 178 miles (286 km) from London. It is situated almost half-way between the towns of Lampeter and Aberaeron on the Ceredigion coast. The River Aeron passes close to Talsarn as it makes its way to the sea at Aberaeron. Notable archaeological discoveries have been made in the district, including Stone Age tools and a medieval convent, cemetery and Tudor mansion.Talsarn boasts four mansions in its vicinity: Llanllyr, Abermeurig, Plas Trefilan and Plas Gelli, as well as Ty Mawr, a substantial 17th C. farmhouse which sits at the centre of the hamlet, and Trefilan Castle “a strong castle mound that can be associated with a princely house” of the medieval period. Little remains of the castle, except its mound, which is close to St. Hilary's parish church in Trefilan.Capel Hermon Methodist Chapel lies outside Talsarn, just off the road from Trefilan to Cilcennin.The hamlet's name may derive from the Roman road Sarn Helen, which runs nearby, though it's also been noted that where a medieval road crossed soft ground, a "sarn of logs and rushes were required. Theatr Felinfach is a small regional theatre located outside the village of Ystrad Aeron in Dyffryn Aeron, about 7 miles from the university town of Lampeter in Ceredigion, Wales.Built in 1972, the theatre, which is supported by Ceredigion County Council and the Arts Council of Wales, has staged performances by drama, music and dance groups from across Britain but is perhaps best known for the many Welsh language plays and functions which it stages.It is a major centre of Welsh culture and language in Mid Wales and is one of only a small number of theatres devoted primarily to productions in Welsh.

Green Grove is a small village in the community of Llanfihangel Ystrad, Ceredigion, Wales, which is 64.9 miles (104.4 km) from Cardiff and 179.1 miles (288.2 km) from London. Green Grove is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and is part of the Ceredigion constituency in the House of Commons.

Troed y Rhiw (foot of the hill in English) is a hamlet in Ceredigion approximately midway between Cribyn and Dihewyd in the rolling agricultural land between Lampeter and Aberaeron. It lies between the land-holdings of Pont Marchog farm and Pen Bryn farm In the 19th century it boasted a chapel, a shop and post office and a pub together with several cottages scattered around the road junction on which the hamlet sits. During the early 20th century the Pub disappeared and is only marked by its ruins in a small copse. The shop and post-office were lost in the early 1970s which probably marked the time of least population . Subsequent to that new development behind the old shop and on the field below Pen Bryn Farm has substantially increased the size of the settlement. The elegant early 19th century chapel remains in occasional use.

Ciliau Aeron (English: where the valley of the river Aeron narrows) is a community and small village 4 miles from Aberaeron in Ceredigion, Wales on the left bank of the River Aeron. The community includes the village of Cilcennin. The word Ciliau comes from the Welsh for corners. Aeron Corners in English refers to the many bends taken by the river through this area. The village post office has long gone, but Ciliau has a small, Welsh-speaking school and a village hall. There are fishing lakes in the village, as well as a garden nursery, an organic farm shop and a self-catering holiday centre for special needs children operated by the Ty Glyn Davis Trust. The Ty Glyn Trust runs an eighteenth-century walled garden alongside the River Aeron; it is open to the public from dawn to dusk, every day of the week, without charge. The Dylan Thomas Trail runs through Ciliau Aeron, passing the Tyglyn Aeron Hotel, which had been the home from the early 1900s of the poet and writer, Evelyn Anna Lewes (1873-1961). She is entered in the Dictionary of Welsh Biography. The publisher, Geoffrey Faber, bought the mansion in 1930 and T. S. Eliot took his holidays there throughout the 1930s.The dockworker-poet James Hughes (Iago Trichrug) 1799-1844 was born in Ciliau Aeron at Neuadd-ddu.The poet-priest David Davis (Dafis Castellhywel) 1745-1827 had his first ministry in the village's Unitarian chapel.Just a mile away is the National Trust's Llanerchaeron estate. Ciliau Aeron Halt was a station on the line from Lampeter to Aberaeron that closed in 1951.
