Carvers Creek State Park is a North Carolina state park in Cumberland County, North Carolina in the United States. Located north of Fayetteville, it covers 4,530 acres (18.3 km2) in the Sandhills region of the state. The park covers lands around Carvers Creek, a tributary of the Cape Fear River, and it borders Fort Bragg. The park is currently divided into two areas, Long Valley Farm and the Sandhills Property. The park is still being planned, and the state is planning to acquire more land for the park. On September 9, 2013, interim park facilities were opened to the public at the Long Valley Farm Access. The initial park facilities include a ranger contact station, a picnic area, lake fishing access, and two hiking trails.

Ellerslie is a historic plantation house located near Linden, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built about 1790, and is a 1 1/2-story, six bay by two bay, Georgian style frame dwelling with a two-story Greek Revival style addition. It features a wide shed porch with plastered cove ceiling.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Cool Springs was a historic home located near Carvers Creek, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It consisted of two sections: a 1+1⁄2-story Federal style coastal cottage form section dated to about 1815-1820 and a two-story, Greek Revival style section dated to about 1825–1830. Also on the property are the contributing barn; a late-19th century storage building; a mid-19th century one-story house, said to have been a school; and a spring house. The house has been demolished. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Thorbiskope, also known as the John Elliot House, is a historic plantation house located near Bunnlevel, Harnett County, North Carolina. It was built in two sections. The earliest section was built about 1820, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, Georgian / Federal style frame Coastal Cottage frame dwelling that forms the rear ell. About 1848, the two-story, five bay by two bay, Greek Revival style front section was added. It features a one-bay front portico.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Monarch Stadium is a college football stadium located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The stadium is the home field of the Methodist Monarchs. The stadium originally had grass seating until chair-back seating for 800 was added in 1999. Visitors are seated on portable risers that are set on the outer edge of the stadium's track, opposite to home seating. Visitors and Home fans are required to seat next to each other. The Monarchs compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III USA South Athletic Conference.

The March F. Riddle Center is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The arena was built in 1990. With a capacity of 1,300 people, it is home to the Methodist Monarchs college basketball and volleyball teams in the NCAA Division III USA South Athletic Conference. It was also home to the Carolina Cougarz of the Continental Basketball League for their only year in the league.

Anderson Creek is a census-designated place located in the Anderson Creek Township of Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 13,636.Notable landmarks near the community include Anderson Creek Plaza and the Anderson Creek Golf Club. It is a part of the Dunn Micropolitan Area, which is also a part of the greater Raleigh–Durham–Cary Combined Statistical Area (CSA) as defined by the United States Census Bureau. Anderson Creek is located approximately 7 miles (11 km) to the north Of Spring Lake, Pope Air Force Base and Ft. Bragg. Current talks are in place on incorporating Anderson Creek as a town, which would entail a post office being opened in the community. Currently, most Anderson Creek residents have Spring Lake addresses with the zip code 28390. Anderson Creek is served by the Harnett County Sheriff's department for law enforcement and Anderson Creek Emergency Services for fire and emergency services.Anderson Creek is a fast-growing community. Increased rapid growth of the community can be attributed to the increase of the military at the nearby Ft. Bragg, as well as the Davis Love III-created golf course, Anderson Creek Club. Just recently, at the intersection of Ray and Overhill's roads, a shopping center was added. The Anderson Creek Shopping Center comprises a Food Lion, China Star Chinese takeout, Domino's Pizza, Family Dollar and a Citi Nails nail salon. The movie gallery location is now a Fit 4 Life Health Club. The Tigers Pizza and Subs restaurant have moved to a new location near Highway 210 and Manchester Road in neighboring Cumberland County. The Anderson Creek Plaza includes a McDonald's restaurant, Subway restaurant, a Tobacco Station, a dry-cleaners (Monarch Cleaners) and the Anderson Creek Pharmacy. North Carolina's Department of Transportation is currently planning road expansion along Ray Road, and as a result the Short Stop Convenience Store & Gas station has closed, and the State Farm Insurance Company office as well as a barber shop have moved to the Anderson Creek Plaza from a nearby location on Ray Road.
