The Chellah or Shalla (Berber languages: Sla or Calla; Arabic: شالة), is a medieval fortified Muslim necropolis and ancient archeological site in Rabat, Morocco, located on the south (left) side of the Bou Regreg estuary. The earliest evidence of the site's occupation suggests that the Phoenicians established a trading emporium here in the first millennium BC. This was later the site of Sala Colonia, an ancient Roman colony in the province of Mauretania Tingitana, before it was abandoned in Late Antiquity. In the late 13th century the site began to be used as a dynastic necropolis for the Marinid dynasty. By the mid-14th century Marinid sultans had enclosed a part of the site with a new set of walls and built a religious complex inside it to accompany their mausoleums. In the 15th century the necropolis began to decline and it suffered damage over the centuries due to earthquakes and looting. Archeological excavations in the 20th century unearthed the remains of the ancient Roman town. Today the site is a tourist attraction and since 2012 it forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Museum of History and Civilizations (Arabic: متحف التاريخ والحضارات, French: Musée de l'histoire et des civilisations) is an archaeological museum in Rabat, Morocco. Opened in 1932, it contains the most extensive collection of archaeological artifacts found in the country.

The Mausoleum of Mohammed V (Arabic: ضريح محمد الخامس) is a mausoleum located across from the Hassan Tower in Rabat, Morocco. It contains the tombs of the Moroccan king Mohammed V and his two sons, late King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah.

St. Peter's Cathedral (French: Cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Rabat) is a Roman Catholic church located at Golan Square (Place du Golan) in downtown Rabat, Morocco. It was erected in the early 20th century in the Art Deco style. The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Peter, and is the ecclesiastical seat of the Archdiocese of Rabat.Construction of the cathedral began in 1919, and its chief architect was Adrien Laforgue. The cathedral was inaugurated by Resident-General Hubert Lyautey in 1921. The two towers of the cathedral were added in the 1930s.The cathedral is operational and Mass is celebrated daily.

The As-Sunna Mosque or Assounna Mosque (among other similar spellings; Arabic: مسجد السنة, lit. 'Mosque of the Sunnah') is a large mosque in central Rabat, Morocco. It is one of the largest mosques in Morocco.

The Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art , abbreviated MMVI, (Arabic: متحف محمد السادس للفن الحديث والمعاصر) is a contemporary and modern art museum in Rabat, Morocco which opened in 2014. It is one of fourteen museums of the National Foundation of Museums of Morocco. The museum curates modern and contemporary Moroccan and international art. The MMVI is the first large scale museum built in Morocco since independence from France in 1956. It was the first Moroccan public museum to meet International Museography Standards. The museum houses the works of 200 Moroccan artists, including Hassan Hajjaj and Ahmed Yacoubi.

Ahl Fas Mosque (Arabic: مسجد اهل فاس) is a mosque in the capital city of Rabat, Morocco. It is located at the mechouar of Al-Sayeed. The mosque was commissioned by the Alaouite sultan Mohammed ben Abdallah in the 18th century. It was renovated several times, during the era of Muhammad IV, Yusef, Muhammad V, Hassan II, and Muhammad VI. The mosque is known as a place where the king gives the khotbah (sermon) during the Friday Prayer or Eid Prayers, a tradition dating back to the era of Moulay Yusef.

Lycée Moulay Youssef is an educational institution located in the city of Rabat, Morocco. The school opened on 1 February 1916 although it was only two weeks later, on 17 February 1916, that it was officially created following the Dahir (decree) issued the same day.Besides containing secondary level programs, Moulay Youssef is known as the most prestigious Higher School Preparatory Classes nationwide (classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles).

Hassan Tower or Tour Hassan (Arabic: صومعة حسان; Berber languages: ⵙⵓⵎⵓⵄⵜ ⵏ ⵃⴰⵙⵏ) is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco. It was commissioned by Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, the third caliph of the Almohad Caliphate, near the end of the 12th century. The tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world, and the mosque, if completed, would have been the largest in the western Muslim world. When al-Mansur died in 1199, construction on the mosque stopped. The minaret was left standing at a height of 44 meters. The rest of the mosque was also left incomplete, with only the beginnings of several walls and 348 columns being constructed. The tower, along with the remains of the mosque and the modern Mausoleum of Mohammed V, forms an important historical and tourist complex in Rabat.

The Rabbi Shalom Zaoui Synagogue (Hebrew: בית הכנסת רבי שלום זאווי; Arabic: كنيس ربي شالوم الزاوي) is a synagogue located in the Mellah (Jewish quarter) of the medina of Rabat, Morocco. The synagogue is located near Bab Diouana and contiguous to the Andalusian wall of the medina. It was named after Rabbi Shalom Zaoui (born circa 1839 and died circa 1918) who was respected and revered by his community, as it used to be his house.

The House of Representatives (Arabic: مجلس النواب [maʒ.li.s‿an.nu.waːb]; Berber languages: ⴰⵙⵇⵇⵉⵎ ⵏ ⵉⵎⵓⵔⴰ, romanized: Asqqim n Imura; French: Chambre des représentants) is one of the two chambers—the other of which is the House of Councillors—of the Moroccan Parliament. The House of Representatives has 395 members elected for five-year terms, 305 of whom are elected in multi-seat constituencies, and 90 of whom are elected in two national lists dedicated to promote gender equality and national youth.

The House of Councillors (Arabic: مجلس المستشارين [maʒlis al-mustaʃaːriːn]; Berber languages: ⴰⵙⵇⵇⵉⵎ ⵏ ⵉⵏⵙⴼⴰⵡⵏ, romanized: Asqqim n Insfawn; French: Chambre des conseillers) is the upper house of the Parliament of Morocco and has 120 members, elected for a six-year term. 72 members are elected at the Kingdom's regional level, who represent the subnational administrative areas (collectivitiés territoriales); 20 members are elected in each region by a single electoral college made up of all those in the relevant region that have been elected to the following professional associations: the agriculture associations, the commerce, industry and services associations, the arts and crafts associations and the marine fisheries associations; 8 members are elected in each region by an electoral college made up of those elected from the most representative employers' professional organizations; 20 members elected nationally by an electoral college made up of employees.The 2011 Constitution of Morocco retained this second chamber, but reduced its term of office from 9 to 6 years and its size to 120 seats.
