Bromma Parish

Brommaplan metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Riksby, which is part of the borough of Bromma in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is elevated and has a single island platform, with access from a lower level station building. The distance to Slussen is 10.5 km (6.5 mi).The station lies on the route of a line known as the Ängbybanan that formerly linked Alvik and Islandstorget. The Ängbybanan, which included the elevated tracks at Brommaplan now used by the metro, was designed and built for use by the future metro, but was operated from 1944 as part of line 11 of the Stockholm tramway. Brommaplan station was inaugurated as part of the metro on 26 October 1952 with the conversion of the Ängbybanan and its extension to form the metro line between Hötorget and Vällingby.As part of Art in the Stockholm metro project, the station received a composition in glass, stainless sheet metal and aluminium referring to the history of aviation and the nearby Bromma Airport. The artwork was created by Peter Svedberg and installed in 1996

Bromma (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈbrɔ̂mːa]) is a borough (stadsdelsområde) in the western part of Stockholm, Sweden, forming part of the Stockholm Municipality. Bromma is primarily made up of Bromma Parish and Västerled Parish . The fourth largest airport in Sweden and the third largest of the airports close to Stockholm, the Stockholm Bromma Airport, was first built in Bromma in 1936. The south-eastern part of Bromma is one of the richest areas in Stockholm.

Abrahamsberg is a residential district in the Västerort section of Stockholm Municipality, Sweden, and part of the Bromma borough. It is bordered by Riksby, Stora Mossen, Ålsten, Olovslund and Åkeslund and is served by the Abrahamsberg metro station. The district was developed with small blocks of flats in yellow brick, and is therefore sometimes called den gula staden (the yellow city). As of December 2013 it had 3,154 residents.

The University College Stockholm (Swedish: Enskilda högskolan Stockholm), formerly the Stockholm School of Theology (Swedish: Teologiska högskolan Stockholm), is an independent school for theology and human rights in Stockholm, Sweden, sponsored by the Uniting Church in Sweden. The institution has been accredited by the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education to award degrees in the field of theology (Swedish: kandidatexamen i teologi and masterexamen i teologi, Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology) as well as in the field of human rights (Swedish: kandidatexamen i mänskliga rättigheter). In cooperation with Uppsala University, Stockholm School of Theology also awards a Master's degree in human rights. The school declares an ecumenical ambition and students include future pastors in the denomination, but also a sizable group training for clerical positions in the Church of Sweden, as well as others.

A stoneware frieze in the ticket hall, created by Rigmor Roxner was installed in 1999.

Agneta Wrede's vestibule is a room in the upper floor of Åkeshov Palacee in Bromma, outside Stockholm, Sweden. The room is named after Baroness Agneta Wrede af Elimä (1718–1800), and who lived in the palace during 1747–1800.

Åkeshov Palace is located in Bromma, a borough of Stockholm, Sweden. Historically, Åkeshov was situated in Bromma socken, which was incorporated with the City of Stockholm in 1916. After having undergone a careful reconstruction, the palace is used today as a hotel and conference facility.

Bromma Stockholm Airport (formerly Stockholm-Bromma Flygplats) (IATA: BMA, ICAO: ESSB) is a Swedish domestic and minor international airport in Stockholm. It is located 4 NM (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) west-northwest of downtown Stockholm and is the closest to the city compared to the other commercial passenger airports in the area around Stockholm (Arlanda, Skavsta and Västerås). The station is at ground level, has two island platforms flanking three through tracks, and is one of the intermediate termini along the northern section of the Green line, with line 17 trains normally terminating. Lillsjön (Swedish: The Small Lake) is a small lake in Bromma, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. It is one of four lakes in the western suburbs, along with Kyrksjön, Judarn, and Råcksta Träsk. Located in the small park Lillsjöparken and surrounded by heavily trafficked artery roads on all sides, it is rich in nutrients with high levels of metals in the sediments. Prospects are to improve the water quality to keep the lake as a locale for birds.
