Wake Early College of Health and Sciences High School (more commonly known as Wake Early College or WECHS) is a small high school program (grades 9–13, with up to one year of post-secondary education) located on two Wake Tech sites: the Health Sciences Campus and the North Campus, both in Raleigh, North Carolina. The school provides five years of education in which students can receive a high school diploma, and up to an Associate of Arts, Science, or Applied Sciences degree. The school has an enrollment of roughly 265 students as of the 2011–2012 school year. Although it is a public magnet high school under the Wake County Public School System, it serves no base population and also functions as a part of Wake Tech. This school is one of six early college high schools in Wake County. The others are Vernon Malone College and Career Academy, Wake STEM Early College High School, Wake Early College of Information and Biotechnologies, Wake Young Men's Leadership Academy, and Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy (the latter two schools also serve middle school students).

Coastal Credit Union Music Park (originally named Walnut Creek Amphitheatre and formerly Alltel Pavilion) is an outdoor amphitheater located in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, that specializes in hosting large concerts. The amphitheater is part of a 77-acre (310,000 m2) complex, located on the west bank of Walnut Creek, southeast of Raleigh, near the I-40/US 64/I-440 (Beltline) interchange. It was built by the City of Raleigh, with private sector participation, at a cost of $13.5 million and opened on July 4, 1991, with the Connells as the inaugural act. Seating capacity is about 6,847, of which about half are under cover; the open lawn can accommodate another 13,653. The venue is operated by Live Nation Entertainment, a concert promoting company, under lease from the City of Raleigh.

Longview Gardens Historic District is a historic post-World War II neighborhood and national historic district located 1+1⁄2 miles east of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The district encompasses 189 contributing buildings and five contributing sites. Notable contributing resources include the Raleigh Country Club golf course designed by Donald Ross, Longview Baptist Church (c. 1955) and Milner Memorial Presbyterian Church (1946), both striking examples of Modernist architecture.Developed from 1938 to 1965 by Clarence Poe, the longtime editor of The Progressive Farmer, Longview Gardens was designed by Richmond, Virginia landscape architect Charles Gillette. A student of the City Beautiful movement, Gillette's design for Longview Gardens consisted of a pattern of curvilinear streets on both sides of a designed parkway.The Longview Gardens neighborhood grew over a series of three separate phases: 1938–1940, 1948-1948, and 1959. Accordingly, its architectural styles reflect this progression, with the earliest homes constructed in the Colonial Revival and Tudor Revival styles popular before World War II and the later homes constructed in the Ranch and Split-level home styles.Longview Gardens is the largest and most artistically designed mid-20th century subdivision in Raleigh and remains largely intact today. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in January 2011.

Enloe GT/IB Magnet Center for the Humanities, Sciences and the Arts, also known as Enloe Magnet High School or Enloe High School, is a public magnet high school offering Gifted & Talented and International Baccalaureate programs located in eastern Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The first integrated public high school in the city of Raleigh, it was named after William Gilmore Enloe, the Mayor of Raleigh at the time the school was opened.

Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School is a magnet high school in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. It opened in 1997 as a magnet school with a focus on math, science, and technology. The current magnet theme is University Connections, which focuses on providing students with interactions and experiences with colleges, universities, and workplace environments while still in high school. The school operates on a modified calendar, with the fall semester usually starting in late July and with longer, more frequent breaks during the school year, completing classes before the end of May.

Walnut Creek is a 17.93 mi (28.86 km) long 4th order tributary to the Neuse River in Wake County. Its source is a small pond near WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, and it flows generally eastward through several small reservoirs, including Lake Cramer in Cary as well as Lake Johnson and Lake Raleigh in Raleigh, before reaching its confluence with the Neuse just south of Poole Road in East Raleigh. The course of the creek closely parallels Interstate 40, running mostly along the north side of the freeway. The Walnut Creek Trail, a branch of the Capital Area Greenway, follows the length of Walnut Creek from Lake Johnson to its confluence, and is the second longest trail in the Greenway System. A large swampy wetland (which has been partially reclaimed by urban development), occupies the area around the last several miles of the creek; the Walnut Creek Wetland Center, operated by Raleigh Parks and Recreation, is dedicated to the study and preservation of the wetlands. The Coastal Credit Union Music Park, commonly known by its original name of Walnut Creek Amphitheater, is located near the wetland area near where the creek passes under the I-40/I-440 interchange.
