WXTK (95.1 FM; "Newsradio 95 WXTK") is a commercial radio station licensed to West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, and serving Cape Cod. It has a news/talk format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The studios and offices are on Barnstable Road in Hyannis, while the transmitter is on Radio Lane in Yarmouth. WXTK is the direct descendant of Cape Cod's first commercial radio station, WOCB. Weekdays begin with a simulcast of The Jim Polito Show from co-owned WTAG Worcester. Polito is followed by a local show hosted by Ed Lambert. The rest of the weekday schedule is from syndicated conservative talk shows: The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, the Boston-based Howie Carr Show, The Sean Hannity Show and Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. Weekends feature shows on health, money, real estate, home repair, law, travel, gardening, technology and classic radio shows on Sunday nights. Weekend hosts include Kim Komando, Paul Parent, Rich Valdés, Rudy Maxa and Somewhere in Time with Art Bell. WXTK broadcasts New England Patriots football and Boston Bruins hockey games. Most hours begin with world and national news from Fox News Radio.

Parkers River is a river in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. It drains out of Long Pond in West Yarmouth, flows through Seine Pond, and empties into the Nantucket Sound southeast of West Yarmouth. Named for Isaiah Parker who lived on the west bank of the river.

The ZooQuarium was a small 7-acre (2.8 ha) zoo and aquarium that opened in 1969 on Cape Cod in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, United States. During its operation, it hosted sea lions, seals and other forms of aquatic and land animals. The ZooQuarium formally closed its doors in December 2013.The property was purchased in 2016 by underwater explorer Barry Clifford for the new Whydah Pirate Museum II Archived 2017-03-30 at the Wayback Machine which now houses the exhibit previously presented in National Geographic's REAL PIRATES traveling exhibition featuring artifacts and treasures of the Whydah Gally, the only fully authenticated Golden Age pirate ship wreck on earth. It is the sister museum to Clifford's Whydah Pirate Museum Archived 2017-03-30 at the Wayback Machine already established 40 miles (64 km) north, in Provincetown.

West Yarmouth is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Yarmouth in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 6,012 at the 2010 census.

Colgan Air Flight 9446 was a repositioning flight operated by Colgan Air for US Airways Express. On August 26, 2003, the Beechcraft 1900D crashed into water 300 feet (91 m) offshore from Yarmouth, Massachusetts, shortly after taking off from Barnstable Municipal Airport in Hyannis. Both pilots were killed.: 85 

The Baxter Mill is a historic gristmill on Massachusetts Route 28 in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts. Built about 1710 and restored to working order in 1961, it is the only surviving 18th-century water-powered mill on Cape Cod. It is now a museum property owned by the town and operated by the Yarmouth Historical Commission. The mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

Bass River is an estuary and village in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, United States. The estuary separates the towns of Yarmouth and Dennis at the central, southern sections of the towns. At its widest and most southerly point, it opens to and meets Nantucket Sound. Its brackish, northwestern end flows into Follins Pond, from there winding further north as a brook, to Mill Pond then an underground stream that nearly bisects Cape Cod. The mouth of the river is between Smugglers Beach on the Yarmouth side and West Dennis Beach on the Dennis side. West Dennis beach has become a popular site for kite boarding in the past few years. In the same way, Kalmus Beach in Hyannis has become popular for windsurfing. Once inside the river, there is a large land mass covered with sea grass, in the middle of which is a large bay. The island is called 'Marsh Island' by the locals. Marsh Island separates Bass River into two parts. The right side of the river, which is referred to as the 'Old Field Channel', goes towards West Dennis and the Fingers development. The left side is the main channel of the river, passing Windmill Beach, Bass River Yacht Club, Ship Shops Marina and the prestigious Bass River Marina and Yacht Club. After the marina, the river goes under the Route 28 bridge and winds five more miles deep into the cape. Bass River was once considered a viable location for a canal traversing Cape Cod, and is the largest river the Mid-Cape Highway spans. Bass River is home to a friendly rivalry between West Dennis Yacht Club and the Bass River Yacht Club. These clubs also compete against Hyannis Yacht Club, Wianno Yacht Club, and others in the Southern Massachusetts Sailing Association team racing circuit. The Yarmouth shores are home to Bass River Golf Course, which is owned and operated by the town of Yarmouth. There is another Bass River in the city of Beverly.

Cape Cod Hospital is a not-for-profit regional medical center located in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Founded in 1920, as of 2011 it is the largest hospital on Cape Cod. The administration is headed by CEO Michael K. Lauf.The hospital has 283 beds with more than 1,700 employees and 300 physicians on staff. It has an extensive cardiac care service in a partnership with Harvard University Medical School affiliate Brigham and Women's Hospital. The hospital is also affiliated with the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. The emergency department is one of the busiest in Massachusetts, providing emergency services to more than 84,000 patients on an annual basis.

The Judah Baker Windmill is an 18th-century windmill in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts. It was named after its original builder, Judah Baker, who constructed the mill in 1791. Like many Cape Cod windmills, the windmill experienced several moves before moving to its current location at 89 River Street in Bass River, located within the Historic District of South Yarmouth. The windmill faces west to Bass River, adjacent to the waters of Nantucket Sound, and is located on an area with a small boardwalk and beach.

The Capt. Thomas Gray House is a historic house in Barnstable, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built c. 1875, and is a locally rare example of Stick style design. It is T-shaped in plan, with varied gables that have applied stickwork decoration, and its windows have boldly stylized pediments. The property also includes a period barn with cupola. Its owner, Thomas Gray, was a prominent local captain of steamships.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Capt. Seth Baker Jr. House is a historic house in Barnstable, Massachusetts, USA. Built about 1850, it is a late example of transitional Federal-Greek Revival architecture, and a somewhat modest house built for a ship's captain. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Dr. Edward Francis Gleason House is a historic house in Barnstable, Massachusetts, United States.
