Built about 1850, it is a late example of transitional Federal-Greek Revival architecture, and a somewhat modest house built for a ship's captain. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Capt. Thomas Gray House is a historic house in Barnstable, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built c. 1875, and is a locally rare example of Stick style design. It is T-shaped in plan, with varied gables that have applied stickwork decoration, and its windows have boldly stylized pediments. The property also includes a period barn with cupola. Its owner, Thomas Gray, was a prominent local captain of steamships.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Seth Hallett House is a historic house in the Hyannis village of Barnstable, Massachusetts. Built in 1775, this 1+1⁄2-story Cape house is one of the few surviving Federal style houses on Main Street in Hyannis. In the mid-19th century it was occupied by Seth Hallett, a town selectman. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Capt. Sylvester Baxter House is a historic house in Barnstable, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood frame Italianate house was built c. 1855 by Captain Sylvester Baxter, a politically prominent local ship's captain. The house exterior has been stuccoed, and the roof is a cross-gable style with a square cupola on top. The eaves of the roof and cupola are studded with decorative brackets. The windows are topped by stilted segmented arches. The front entrance is sheltered by a hip-roofed porch supported by clusters of round columns.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Pleasant–School Street Historic District is a predominantly residential historic district in the Hyannis village of Barnstable, Massachusetts. It includes 37 properties on Pleasant and School Streets, between Main and South Streets, near the center of Hyannis. Pleasant Street was laid out in the 18th century, and School Street was laid out c. 1850, and is distinctive for its cohesive collection of Greek Revival cottages, most of which were owned by mariners active in the coasting trade. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Cape Cod Maritime Museum is a maritime museum at 135 South Street in Hyannis, Massachusetts with a focus on Cape Cod's maritime history, boat building, yachting, and nautical art. The museum formerly contained the remains of the Sparrow Hawk, the earliest known surviving ship from the colonial American era, which is currently stored at Plymouth's Pilgrim Hall Museum.

The company currently operates the second largest passenger ferry service between mainland Cape Cod and the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket (after the Steamship Authority). The company also operates sightseeing cruises and fishing charters. The company's main office is located at 22 Channel Point Road in Hyannis.

The Hyannis Transportation Center (HTC) is an intermodal transportation center in Hyannis, Massachusetts, operated by the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA). It is the terminus for several CCRTA bus lines and its CapeFLYER passenger train that operates on summer weekends between Boston South Station and Hyannis. It is also used by the Plymouth and Brockton Street Railway, Peter Pan Bus Lines, and Greyhound via CapeBus intercity bus services. The Cape Cod Central Railroad uses a separate station building across the tracks for its excursion services. A rail yard used by the Cape Cod Central is located north of the station, along with a former roundhouse. The first Hyannis station was built by the Cape Cod Railroad in 1854. It was replaced by a nearly-identical structure in the early 1900s. The New Haven Railroad used a separate station 1.0 mile (1.6 km) north from 1953 until passenger service ended in 1964. The Cape Cod Central began excursion service in 1981; part of a former gas station was converted for use as a station. The station was also used by the Cape Cod and Hyannis Railroad from 1984 to 1988, and the Amtrak Cape Codder. The Hyannis Transportation Center opened in 2002, with a second platform opposite the Cape Cod Central platform. It was only used by buses until CapeFLYER service began in 2013.
