The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is a UK charity that offers information, support and advice to people in the UK with sight loss. The Charity Commission for England and Wales investigated the charity from 2015 to 2019 and said that its failings which included medical errors and undocumented cases of physical restraint at its schools and residential facilities were some of the worst it had ever dealt with. King Charles III is the charity's patron.

Pentonville is an area on the northern fringe of Central London, in the London Borough of Islington. It is located 1.75 miles (2.82 km) north-northeast of Charing Cross on the Inner Ring Road. Pentonville developed in the northwestern edge of the ancient parish of Clerkenwell on the New Road. It is named after Henry Penton, the developer of the area.

Pentonville Road is a road in Central London that runs west to east from Kings Cross to City Road at The Angel, Islington. The road is part of the London Inner Ring Road and part of the boundary of the London congestion charge zone. The road was originally built in the mid-18th century as part of the New Road, a bypass of Central London for coach traffic. It was named Pentonville Road after the new town of Pentonville, that encouraged manufacturing to move out of the city and into suburbia. Numerous factories and commercial premises became established on the road in the 19th and 20th centuries, particularly after the arrival of London railways in the 1840s. As industrial manufacturing fell out of favour in London in the late 20th century, many properties are now residential or student accommodation. Current premises include the Crafts Council Gallery on the site of a former chapel, the Scala nightclub in a former cinema, and The Castle, a public house.

Malvern House London was founded in 2000. It is an independent college and was accredited by the British Council in 2003. In July 2009 Malvern House merged with AEC Education Group PLC. Malvern House London is the only private college in the UK that is listed on the London Stock Exchange.The school specialises in teaching English for both long-term and short-term students wishing to study and learn English in London. The school also teaches long-term courses and professional qualifications such as Business English or courses which offer students entry into a UK university. The college comprises 22+ classrooms located in Central London (Kings Cross) and employs over 40 qualified teaching staff.

Bevin Court is a housing project in Finsbury, London. It is one of several modernist housing projects designed in the city in the immediate postwar period by the Tecton architecture practice, led by Berthold Lubetkin. Following the dissolution of Tecton, the project was realised by Lubetkin, Francis Skinner and Douglas Carr Bailey. The project was completed in 1954.

Risinghill School was a progressive co-educational secondary school that opened in Islington, north London, on 3 May 1960 and closed four and a half years later. A book chronicling its demise made publishing history in 1968 by becoming the UK's first non-fiction best-seller.

Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School (EGA), a medium-sized comprehensive secondary school for girls in Islington, London, England, is rated as 'Outstanding' by OFSTED in its most recent inspection report. It is named in honour of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, the first woman to gain a medical qualification in the United Kingdom. EGA's buildings, which are located between King's Cross railway station and Angel Underground station, are named after great women in history, such as Emily Brontë.

The New Road was a toll road built across fields around the northern boundaries of London, the first part of which opened in 1756. The route comprises the following modern-day roads: Old Marylebone Road, Marylebone Road, Euston Road, Pentonville Road, City Road, and Moorgate.

The Lexington is a pub and music venue on Pentonville Road in Islington, London that opened in 2008. The bar specialises in bourbon, as well as American craft beer. The building it is in was built over 1875 to 1876 and was originally known as The Belvidere.The venue area is upstairs, with a raised back section by the bar. The front of this has bench seating, but facing away from the stage.On Monday evenings the pub has a music quiz, previously sponsored by Rough Trade, that is usually hosted by Paul Guided Missile.

Lloyd Square, a garden square in Clerkenwell, central London, It comprises of Grade II Listed houses makng up a Square of unique and noted character in central London. Its nearest tube stations are Kings Cross, Russell Square, Angel and Chancery Lane. The square has mature trees, flowers, beds and shrubs and is lined by neat hedges and formal railings, which are listed.

Islington Farmers' Market was the first Farmers' Market to open in London, it opened in 1999. The market was set up by food writer Nina Planck, who established the organisation London Farmers' Markets. The market is still running, having changed location twice. It is currently held on the Western end of the historic market street, Chapel Market.In 2010, the market was voted as London's best Farmers' Market by Time Out magazine.
