The Lexington, Islington

Claremont Square is a square in the Angel (Pentonville) part of Islington, London. Its central green mound, hiding a reservoir, is dotted with mature trees on all four sides (embankments). On its north side is Pentonville Road. It is lined on the south, east and west sides by early-nineteenth-century houses, and on the north side, across the arterial road, by heavily recessed apartment/office buildings. Many of the houses have been internally subdivided.

Risinghill School was a progressive co-educational secondary school that opened in Islington, north London, on 3 May 1960 and closed four and a half years later. A book chronicling its demise made publishing history in 1968 by becoming the UK's first non-fiction best-seller.

Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School (EGA), a medium-sized comprehensive secondary school for girls in Islington, London, England, is rated as 'Outstanding' by OFSTED in its most recent inspection report. It is named in honour of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, the first woman to gain a medical qualification in the United Kingdom. EGA's buildings, which are located between King's Cross railway station and Angel Underground station, are named after great women in history, such as Emily Brontë.

Islington Farmers' Market was the first Farmers' Market to open in London, it opened in 1999. The market was set up by food writer Nina Planck, who established the organisation London Farmers' Markets. The market is still running, having changed location twice. It is currently held on the Western end of the historic market street, Chapel Market.In 2010, the market was voted as London's best Farmers' Market by Time Out magazine.

Bevin Court is a housing project in Finsbury, London. It is one of several modernist housing projects designed in the city in the immediate postwar period by the Tecton architecture practice, led by Berthold Lubetkin. Following the dissolution of Tecton, the project was realised by Lubetkin, Francis Skinner and Douglas Carr Bailey. The project was completed in 1954.

Pentonville is an area on the northern fringe of Central London, in the London Borough of Islington. It is located 1.75 miles (2.82 km) north-northeast of Charing Cross on the Inner Ring Road. Pentonville developed in the northwestern edge of the ancient parish of Clerkenwell on the New Road. It is named after Henry Penton, the developer of the area.

Chapel Market is a daily street market in London. The market is located on a street of the same name near Angel, and sells fruit, vegetables and fish, as well as bargain household goods and cheap clothes. It is open every day except Monday, operating in the mornings only on Thursday and Sunday. The market is 2-3 blocks long; many of the patrons are local, and food and wares for sale are primarily for daily use. It has capacity for 224 stalls.The ten-year-old Islington Farmers' Market relocated to Chapel Market in April 2010 and is held every Sunday at the Penton Street end. Notable Chapel Market pubs include the Agricultural at the extreme east end, an old institution that got its name from the historic use of Upper Street as a livestock route south into London and specifically to Smithfield meat market. The Hundred Crows Flying, at the extreme west end of the market is a modern style pub catering more to a hip young crowd. In the middle of the market near to the corner of White Lion Street is The Alma Lounge, popular with an older crowd, and frequently full early in the day. The street was also notable for M. Manze's, a traditional Pie and Mash vendor whose first branch was established in 1902. The Chapel Market branch closed down in 2019. The street was also used for filming street seller scenes in the TV sitcom Only Fools and Horses.

The White Conduit House was a building in Islington, London. From the late 17th century, it was a leisure resort away from the city centre; it was demolished in 1849.

White Conduit Fields in Islington was an early venue for cricket and several major matches are known to have been played there in the 18th century. It was the original home of the White Conduit Club, forerunner of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). Later it was used by The Islington Albion Cricket Club, who played their last game at the ground in 1834. Maps from the time show that the cricket field was a few hundred metres north of the White Conduit House, in the land surrounding the modern Richmond Crescent, and paintings suggest it was also possibly on the adjacent field to the south at the modern Barnard Park.

St Mark's Church is an Anglican church in the middle of Myddelton Square, the largest square in London's Clerkenwell district. The square was laid out by William Chadwell Mylne, and there are 75 houses, by 13 different builders, all constructed in a Georgian style, from 1822 to 1843.St Mark's Church was built in 1825–27, and designed by William Chadwell Mylne. It is in a plain Gothic style, was built to accommodate 2000 people and cost about £18,000.The east window depicts the Ascension and was designed by AE Buss of Goddard & Gibbs in 1962.The church is Grade II listed.

Lloyd Square, a garden square in Clerkenwell, central London, It comprises of Grade II Listed houses makng up a Square of unique and noted character in central London. Its nearest tube stations are Kings Cross, Russell Square, Angel and Chancery Lane. The square has mature trees, flowers, beds and shrubs and is lined by neat hedges and formal railings, which are listed.

Myddelton Square, the largest square in Central London's Clerkenwell, is a residential public garden square of the 1820s to 1840s, with playground, with many trees; its houses are built with exposed brickwork, Georgian style, with high-ceilinged ground and first-floor storeys. Two of its houses were obliterated and rebuilt, and two declared unsafe and rebuilt, due to the London Blitz by Nazi Germany. Internally, with roads and pavements, it spans 3.84 acres (1.55 ha), as measures 414 feet (126 m) by 370 feet (110 m) from one set of houses fronting, to another.
