Thebarton ( THEB-ər-tən), formerly Theberton, on Kaurna land, is an inner-western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of West Torrens. The suburb is bounded by the River Torrens to the north, Port Road and Bonython Park to the east, Kintore Street to the south, and South Road to the west. Many buildings and landmarks that bear the name of Thebarton were in the history municipality, the Town of Thebarton, which included most of the adjoining suburb of Torrensville. These include the Thebarton Oval, the Thebarton croquet and bowls club, Thebarton Theatre, and Thebarton Senior College. The historic Adelaide Gaol, nominally shown as being in Thebarton, and the adjacent Thebarton Barracks of the South Australia Police actually lie within the northwestern Adelaide Park Lands. A part of Thebarton adjacent to the River Torrens, later the site of the South Australian Brewing Company, was originally known as Southwark. Hemmington, Hemmington West and West Thebarton were also suburbs later incorporated into current-day Thebarton.

Croydon is an inner western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is located in the City of Charles Sturt.

Croydon railway station is located on the Grange and Outer Harbor lines. Situated in the western Adelaide suburb of Croydon, it is 4.2 kilometres from Adelaide station.

Grange Road is an arterial road in the western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. It runs from South Road close to the city centre to the coast at Grange. The eastern end of Grange Road continues over the North-South Motorway trench as Manton Street which passes Hindmarsh Stadium, behind the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, then joins the City Ring Route at Port Road and Park Terrace via a short stretch of Adam Street.

Southwark (pronounced /ˈsʌðək/) is an inner western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, located in the City of West Torrens (of which it is the most north-easterly point). It was officially created on 31 October 2025, adopting the precinct's original name as before its incorporation into Thebarton in the mid-1900s. Southwark comprises established residential and commercial land that was brought into its remit, including existing venues such as the historic Southwark Hotel. The suburb will later encompass the housing estate of "Southwark Grounds" (to be completed by 2035; situated on the site of the former West End Brewery).

West Hindmarsh is a suburb of Adelaide, located in the City of Charles Sturt local government area. It is around 4 km west northwest of the Adelaide city centre. It is bounded on the south by the River Torrens, east by South Road, north by Port Road and west by streets separating it from the suburb of Welland which has the same north and south boundaries. Grange Road crosses the middle of the suburb. A Hindmarsh West Post Office opened around 1950 and closed in 1981.

The Hindmarsh Incinerator is a decommissioned incinerator located in the Adelaide suburb of Brompton in South Australia, Australia. Designed by Walter Burley Griffin, the architect and designer of Canberra, the incinerator was built in 1935 by the Reverberatory Incinerator and Engineering Co. Pty Ltd. as a means of disposing of household refuse. The incinerator was listed on the now-defunct Register of the National Estate on 21 March 1978 and on the South Australian Heritage Register on 24 July 1980. It is listed as a nationally significant work of 20th-century architecture by the Australian Institute of Architects.

Hindmarsh is an inner suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is located in the City of Charles Sturt. The suburb is located between South Road to the west and North Adelaide. The River Torrens forms its southern boundary and the Grange and Outer Harbour railway line forms the northeast.

The District Council of Hindmarsh was a local government area in South Australia from 1853 to 1875, seated at the inner north west Adelaide suburb of Hindmarsh. At the time of its establishment the population was approximately 3,500.

The Town of Hindmarsh was a local government area in South Australia from 1874 to 1993, encompassing on the inner north west Adelaide suburbs of Hindmarsh, Bowden and Brompton.

Hindmarsh Stadium (currently known as Coopers Stadium due to sponsorship from Adelaide-based company Coopers Brewery) is a multi-purpose stadium in Hindmarsh, an inner western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is the home of the Australian A-League team, Adelaide United. The stadium has a capacity of 16,500, of which 15,000 is seated. Home team Adelaide United regularly fill this capacity, and averaged crowds of over 12,000 to its matches during the 2006-07 season and 2007-08 season. United used the stadium for its home matches in the 2008 AFC Asian Champions League, the 2010 AFC Asian Champions League, and the 2012 AFC Asian Champions League. The venues will host some matches for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
