Frankeneck is an Ortsgemeinde – a municipality belonging to a Verbandsgemeinde, a kind of collective municipality – in the Bad Dürkheim district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

The Hochspeyerbach is a 21 km (13 mi) long river in the Palatinate forest in Rhineland-Palatinate and a left tributary of the Speyerbach.

Spangenberg Castle (German: Burg Spangenberg) is the partially rebuilt ruin of a rock castle in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It lies in the Palatine Forest above the Elmstein valley near the village of Erfenstein, but is actually on the forest estates belong to the town of Neustadt an der Weinstraße, or more precisely, the village of Lachen-Speyerdorf. Together with the neighbouring castle of Erfenstein, it is linked to the legend of the Leather Bridge.

Erfenstein Castle (German: Burg Erfenstein) is a medieval spur castle in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It lies within the Palatine Forest above the Elmstein Valley at 265 m above sea level (NN) in the vicinity of the hamlet of Erfenstein in the municipality of Esthal (county of Bad Dürkheim). Together with nearby Spangenberg Castle, it is linked to the legend of the Leather Bridge.

Neidenfels is an Ortsgemeinde – a municipality belonging to a Verbandsgemeinde, a kind of collective municipality – in the Bad Dürkheim district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

Lambrecht (Pfalz) station is the station of the town of Lambrecht in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Deutsche Bahn classifies it as belonging to category 4 and it has three platform tracks. The station is located in the network of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar (Rhine-Neckar transport association, VRN) and belongs to fare zone 121. Its address is Bahnhofstraße 4.It is located on the Mannheim–Saarbrücken railway, which essentially consists of the Palatine Ludwig Railway (Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn, Ludwigshafen–Bexbach). It was opened on 25 August 1849, when the Ludwig Railway was put into full operation. In 1902 an industrial track was built to Sattelmühle and it was extended as a branch railway (called the Kuckucksbähnel—Little Cuckoo Railway) to Elmstein and fully opened in 1909. This carried normal passenger services up until 1960 and was reopened as a heritage railway in 1984.

The Hüttenberg near Maikammer in the Rhineland-Palatinate county of Südliche Weinstraße is a subpeak, 620.1 m above sea level (NN), of the Kalmit (672.6 m) the highest mountain in the Haardt in the eastern Palatinate Forest of Germany. There is a blockfield, the Hüttenberg Felsenmeer, along the crest.

The Hohe Stoppelkopf, locally just called the Stoppelkopf, is a 566.2-metre-high hill in the Palatine Forest in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It lies 3 km north of the small town of Lambrecht. Together with the Drachenfels (577 m) to the northwest and the Stabenberg (496 m) to the east, the Stoppelkopf lies on the watershed between the catchment areas of two Palatine Rhine tributaries, the Speyerbach (south) and the Isenach (north). The two longest tributaries of the Mußbach rise on the Stoppelkopf; both later empty into the left mouth branch of the Speyerbach, the Rehbach.

The Hüttenhohl is a mountain pass in the Haardt mountains in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate on the boundary of the parishes of Maikammer and Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Here, at 476.9 m above sea level (NHN), the Kalmithöhenstraße (Landesstraße 515) branches off the Totenkopfstraße (L 514). By the fork there is a sign on a tree with the height recorded as "479 mtr".The term "pass" here does not refer to the roads that meet here because they continue to climb from the Sankt Martin valley towards the Totenkopf and Kalmit, but to the saddle between the Sankt Martin valley and the Finstertal valley.

The Kalmit is the highest peak in the Palatinate Forest and the second highest (after the Donnersberg) in the Palatinate region of Germany. It is 672.6 m above sea level (NHN) and located 5.5 kilometres (3.4 mi) south of the town of Neustadt an der Weinstraße. The mountain attracts many tourists thanks to the numerous footpaths leading to its summit, its mountaintop restaurant, extensive views over the Palatinate wine region and striking rock formations on its forest-clad mountainsides.
