Turtle Creek Stadium

WCCW is one side of a radio combo in Traverse City, Michigan. It is owned by the Midwestern Broadcasting group, which to this day includes the family members of its original partners from the early 1940s, the Biedermans, Kikers and McClays. Midwestern acquired WCCW AM/FM, its long-time "local competitor" in 1996. The highly rated FM station is WCCW-FM, while the AM station is one of the lowest-rated Arbitron-wise in the area. WCCW today carries a classic country format. It airs play-by-play coverage of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Pistons and Michigan State University sports.

Chum's Corners (often referred to as Chums) is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Grand Traverse County in the U.S. state of Michigan. At the 2020 census, the population was 1,065. The community is located within Blair Township.

Silver Lake is a lake in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. It is roughly 3.5 miles (5.6 km) from the northern to southern ends. The lake is known for its pine coasts, irregular shoreline, and many peninsulas and islands, despite being smaller in size. Its maximum depth is 96 feet (29 m), making it the third deepest lake in Grand Traverse County. It is also the fourth-largest lake entirely within Grand Traverse County, after Long Lake, Green Lake, and Duck Lake.

Blair Township ( BLAYR) is a civil township of Grand Traverse County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 8,994, making it the most populous civil township in Grand Traverse County. Blair Township lies about 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Traverse City. Because of this proximity, much of the northern half of Blair Township is suburban, especially in the township-administered communities of Chums Corner and Grawn. Blair Township is the location of Turtle Creek Stadium, the home stadium for the Traverse City Pit Spitters, a collegiate summer baseball team.

Grawn () is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Grand Traverse County in the U.S. state of Michigan. At the 2020 census, the community's population was 816. The community is located within Blair Township on the border with Green Lake Township.

The Boardman River Nature Center is a nature center in Traverse City, Michigan. It is operated by the Grand Traverse Conservation District, a regional parkland authority. The nature center is dedicated to educating residents of Grand Traverse County about the animals and plants of the area, especially those native to the Boardman River valley.

Garfield Township, officially the Charter Township of Garfield, is a charter township of Grand Traverse County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township had a total population of 19,499. This makes it the most populous municipality in Northern Lower Michigan. Due to its location adjacent to Traverse City, the township is largely urbanized. It is one of two charter townships in Grand Traverse County, the other being East Bay Township.

Sabin Dam was a hydroelectric dam on the Boardman River in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. It was owned by the county as a recreational site, but it was formerly owned and used by Traverse City Light & Power. The dam was located about 5.3 miles (8.5 km) upstream from the mouth of the Boardman River at Grand Traverse Bay.

Grand Traverse Mall is an enclosed shopping mall serving Traverse City, Michigan, located in Garfield Township. Opened in 1992, the mall features four anchor stores: J. C. Penney, Target, Dunham's Sports, and Macy's. It is managed by Brookfield Properties, the successor of its original developer General Growth Properties.

WTCM is an AM radio station broadcasting in Traverse City, Michigan, operating on 580 kHz. It is owned by the Biederman family and their company, Midwestern Broadcasting. Today, WTCM, along with sister WTCM-FM is at or near the top of the Arbitron ratings, and are part of a dying breed of family-owned-and-operated radio stations. WTCM has a news/talk format, carrying syndicated talk shows hosted by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Allen Hunt, and Red Eye Radio, plus local talk hosts Ron Jolly, Colleen Wares, Bill Froehlich, and Christal Frost. It is an affiliate of ABC Radio.
