Pennsylvania's 8th congressional district is located in the northeastern region of the state. It encompasses all of Wayne, Pike, and Lackawanna counties, along with portions of Luzerne and Monroe counties. The district had been anchored in Bucks County from the 1940s until 2018, even as most other districts in Pennsylvania changed drastically during that time frame due to population shifts and Pennsylvania's loss of seats in the House.The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania redrew the district in February 2018 after ruling the previous map unconstitutional due to gerrymandering. The 8th district was reassigned to the northeastern part of the state for the 2018 elections and representation thereafter. It is geographically the successor of the former 17th district, including the ancestrally Democratic cities of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre in the Wyoming Valley. Portions of the new 8th also came from the old 10th district, including the more conservative counties of Pike and Wayne. Meanwhile, the Bucks County district was renumbered as the 1st district.The district has a Cook PVI of R+5; however, the Democratic incumbent of the old 17th district, Matt Cartwright, won in 2018. It is one of seven districts that voted for Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election while being held by a Democrat.

Danboro is an unincorporated community in Plumstead Township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. Danboro is located at the intersection of Ferry Road/Danboro Point Pleasant Pike and Old Easton Road north of Doylestown.

Dyerstown Historic District is a national historic district located in Dyerstown, Plumstead Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The district includes 17 contributing buildings and 3 contributing structures in the crossroads village of Dyerstown. It is a largely residential district, with dwellings dating to the turn of the 19th century. The most recent dwelling was built about 1870. Some of the houses are reflective of vernacular Georgian style. The district also includes a former grist mill (1758, 1822) and associated outbuildings. The contributing structures are a stone arch bridge, and head race, dam, and remains of the mill race.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Doylestown Airport (IATA: DYL, ICAO: KDYL, FAA LID: DYL) is a public airport in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, owned by the Bucks County Airport Authority (BCAA). It is two nautical miles north of Doylestown, Pennsylvania and has a single fixed-base operator, Leading Edge Aviation, Civil Air Patrol squadron 907, flight training, and aircraft rentals.

The Moravian Pottery & Tile Works (MPTW) is a history museum located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. It is maintained by the County of Bucks, Department of Parks and Recreation. The museum was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, and was later included in a National Historic Landmark District along with the Mercer Museum and Fonthill. These three structures are the only cast-in-place concrete structures built by Mercer. Handmade tiles are still produced in a manner similar to that developed by the pottery's founder and builder, Henry Chapman Mercer. Tile designs are reissues of original designs. Mercer was a major proponent of the Arts and Crafts movement in America. He directed the work at the pottery from 1898 until his death in 1930. Mercer generally did not affix a potter's mark to tiles made while he directed the work at MPTW. Following his death, there were several marks used to indicate that a tile had originated at MPTW. When the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation took over the MPTW as a working museum, all tiles made by the museum were impressed on the obverse with a stylized "MOR," the words "Bucks County" and the year of manufacture (see illustration). The reproduction tiles made today are made using Mercer's original molds, clay that is obtained locally and has properties similar to those of Mercer's original source, slips and glazes that follow Mercer's final formulations, although some have been modified to reduce the lead and heavy metal content to less toxic levels. The Tile Works is one of three cast-in-place concrete structures built by Mercer. The others include Fonthill, which is located on the same property and served as his home; and the Mercer Museum, located approximately one mile away. The Moravian Pottery and Tile Works offers workshops and an apprenticeship program to teach the art of handcrafting ceramic tiles and mosaics.

Fonthill, also known as Fonthill Castle, was the home of the American archeologist and tile maker Henry Chapman Mercer, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Despite sometimes being referred to as Fonthill Castle, it is a large house and not a castle.

Doylestown Historic District is a national historic district located in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The district includes 1,055 contributing buildings in the central business district and surrounding residential areas of Doylestown. They include a variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings and notable examples of Late Victorian and Federal style architecture. Notable buildings include the Intelligencer Building (1876), Lenape Hall (1874), Hart Bank (1850), County Jail (1885), Henry Lear House (1875), Charles E. Meyers House (1887), John Barclay House (1814), Meredith Shaw Mansion (c. 1812), and Shive's Hardware Store (c. 1833). Located in the district and separately listed are the Fountain House, James-Lorah House, Mercer Museum (1916), Pugh Dungan House, and Shaw Historic District.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Shaw Historic District, also known as Francis B. Shaw Block Historic District, is a national historic district located in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The district includes seven contributing buildings in a residential and industrial area of Doylestown. The block was developed between 1833 and 1914, and includes the Bryan House (c. 1833), Clemens Double House (pre-1874), Goodman House (c. 1835), Kulp House (c. 1849), the Late Victorian-style Rhodes House (1891), Rhodes Livery Stable (1914), and the Doylestown Agricultural Works complex (1867, 1914). The Doylestown Agricultural Works was rebuilt after a fire in 1913; it closed in 1968.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. In 1985, it was incorporated into the Doylestown Historic District.

James-Lorah House, also known as the Judge Chapman House and VIA House, is a historic home located in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was built about 1844, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, stuccoed townhouse dwelling with a medium gable roof. It has a 1+1⁄2-story rear wing with a high gable roof and end chimney. The house features eyebrow windows and marble entrance steps. It was built for Henry Chapman, who served in the U.S. House of Representatives. It was the birthplace of Henry Chapman Mercer on June 24, 1856. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Fonthill, Mercer Museum and Moravian Pottery and Tile Works is a National Historic Landmark District located at Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It consists of three properties built by Henry Chapman Mercer (1856-1930) in a distinctive application of the principles of the Arts and Crafts movement, which are also notable for the early use of poured concrete: Fonthill, the Mercer Museum, and the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works. All three are now museum properties of the Bucks County Historical Society. The landmark designation for the group was made in 1985; each property is also individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

test Pugh Dungan House is a historic home located in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was built about 1830, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay, stuccoed brick and fieldstone dwelling in the Federal style. It features a single bay, pedimented portico supported by Doric order columns. A two-story rear porch was added in the mid- to late-19th century.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
