Åssiden Upper Secondary School (Norwegian: Åssiden videregående skole) is a vocational upper secondary school located in the Åssiden area of Drammen, Norway. Of the ten vocational programs available in Norway, eight of these can be studied at Åssiden. In addition, there is an adult education department, and a department catering to pupils who have recently moved to Norway and who require additional Norwegian language tuition in order to meet the requirements of an upper secondary education.

Åssiden is the largest borough of Drammen in Buskerud county, Norway. Åssiden was a part of Lier municipality until 1951, when it became part of Drammen municipality. Åssiden is located on the western side of Drammen, north of the Drammenselva. Historically Åssiden was the location through which lumber was transported via Drammenselva into the city. Åssiden Elvepark is a park which was built on old landfill sites by the Drammenselva.Åssiden is the location of the vocational school, Åssiden Upper Secondary School (Åssiden videregående skole). Åssiden IF is a local sports club which has sections for association football and team handball. Drammen Racecourse (Drammen Travbane) is also located in Åssiden. Åssiden Church (Åssiden Kirke) dates from 1967. It is designed by the architects Harald Hille and Odd Østbye. The building was built of brick and has 350 seats. It is part of the Drammen prosti in the Tunsberg diocese.There are two alpine ski lifts off E 134 on the road to Mjøndalen. The site offers 100 km of cross-country ski tracks and 42 km of illuminated ski tracks in the hills above Åssiden. Kjøsterudjuvet is a wilderness ravine located only 10 minutes from downtown Drammen. The ravine is 1300 metres long and the stone walls are more than 60 metres high.

Solbergelva is a village in Drammen municipality, part of the Viken county, Norway. The village lies north of Drammenselva, approx. 5 miles west of Bragernes square, between Åssiden in the east and Krokstadelva in the west with Solbergfjellet north. It is part of Drammen municipality and has about 6.000 inhabitants in 2017.In the center of Solbergelva lies Solberg skole, Killingrud ungdomsskole, Solbergsentret, Solberg sport-og kultursenter, sports facilities, Solberg kapell and Solberg spinderi.Annually Solbergelva hosts Solbergfestivalen, its own festival at the end of May. Solberg SK is one of the leading bandy teams in Norway.

Gulskogen Station (Norwegian: Gulskogen stasjon) is located in the village of Gulskogen in Drammen, Norway on the Sørlandet Line, on a section previously regarded as the Randsfjorden Line. The station is served by local trains between Kongsberg via Oslo to Eidsvoll operated by Vy.

Gulskogen is a borough in Drammen, Viken, Norway. Gulskogen has a population of 3,856 inhabitants (2005). Strømsgodset was the name of the parish from early times. Strømsgodset was a separate municipality which in 1964 became part of Drammen. The district takes its name from the historic Gulskogen Manor (Gulskogen gård). The Gulskogen farm one of the best preserved examples of late 18th and early 19th century Norwegian farms. The facility consists of a garden, farm buildings and a manor house. Today the farm is part of the Drammen Museum.

Gulskogen Manor (Norwegian: Gulskogen gård) is a manor house and landscape park which forms part of Drammen Museum in Drammen in Buskerud county, Norway. The manor house is filled with historic furnishings and reproduction works of art.

Buskerud County Municipality (Norwegian: Buskerud fylkeskommune) was the regional governing administration of the old Buskerud county in Norway. The county municipality was established in its most recent form on 1 January 1976 when the law was changed to allow elected county councils in Norway. The county municipality was dissolved on 1 January 2020, when Buskerud was merged with the neighboring counties of Akershus and Østfold, creating the new Viken county which is led by the Viken County Municipality. The administrative seat is located in Drammen and the county mayor was Roger Ryberg. The main responsibilities of the county municipality included the running of the 13 upper secondary schools. It managed all the county roadways, public transport, dental care, culture, and cultural heritage sites in the county. Public transport was managed through Vestviken Kollektivtrafikk.

Nedre Eiker was a municipality in Buskerud county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Eiker. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Mjøndalen. The old municipality of Eiker was divided into Nedre Eiker (lower Eiker) and Øvre Eiker (upper) on 1 July 1885.
