Gulskogen Manor

Gulskogen is a borough in Drammen, Viken, Norway. Gulskogen has a population of 3,856 inhabitants (2005). Strømsgodset was the name of the parish from early times. Strømsgodset was a separate municipality which in 1964 became part of Drammen. The district takes its name from the historic Gulskogen Manor (Gulskogen gård). The Gulskogen farm one of the best preserved examples of late 18th and early 19th century Norwegian farms. The facility consists of a garden, farm buildings and a manor house. Today the farm is part of the Drammen Museum.

Gulskogen Station (Norwegian: Gulskogen stasjon) is located in the village of Gulskogen in Drammen, Norway on the Sørlandet Line, on a section previously regarded as the Randsfjorden Line. The station is served by local trains between Kongsberg via Oslo to Eidsvoll operated by Vy.

Buskerud County Municipality (Norwegian: Buskerud fylkeskommune) was the regional governing administration of the old Buskerud county in Norway. The county municipality was dissolved on 1 January 2020, when Buskerud was merged with the neighboring counties of Akershus and Østfold, creating the new Viken county which is led by the Viken County Municipality. The administrative seat is located in Drammen and the county mayor was Roger Ryberg. The main responsibilities of the county municipality included the running of the 13 upper secondary schools. It managed all the county roadways, public transport, dental care, culture, and cultural heritage sites in the county. Public transport was managed through Vestviken Kollektivtrafikk.

Åssiden is the largest borough of Drammen in Buskerud county, Norway. Åssiden was a part of Lier municipality until 1951, when it became part of Drammen municipality. Åssiden is located on the western side of Drammen, north of the Drammenselva. Historically Åssiden was the location through which lumber was transported via Drammenselva into the city. Åssiden Elvepark is a park which was built on old landfill sites by the Drammenselva.Åssiden is the location of the vocational school, Åssiden Upper Secondary School (Åssiden videregående skole). Åssiden IF is a local sports club which has sections for association football and team handball. Drammen Racecourse (Drammen Travbane) is also located in Åssiden. Åssiden Church (Åssiden Kirke) dates from 1967. It is designed by the architects Harald Hille and Odd Østbye. The building was built of brick and has 350 seats. It is part of the Drammen prosti in the Tunsberg diocese.There are two alpine ski lifts off E 134 on the road to Mjøndalen. The site offers 100 km of cross-country ski tracks and 42 km of illuminated ski tracks in the hills above Åssiden. Kjøsterudjuvet is a wilderness ravine located only 10 minutes from downtown Drammen. The ravine is 1300 metres long and the stone walls are more than 60 metres high.

The trust is owned by Southern and Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority and is headquartered in Drammen. It covers an area with 470,000 residents in 26 municipalities. Vestre Viken has 9,500 employees.Vestre Viken operates Bærum Hospital, Drammen Hospital, Kongsberg Hospital and Ringerike Hospital in Hønefoss. It also operates them medical center Hallingdal Hospital in Ål. It also runs the ambulance service with fifteen bases.
