Vernou-la-Celle-sur-Seine (French pronunciation: [vɛʁnu la sɛl syʁ sɛn] ) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. Vernou-la-Celle-sur-Seine is the twin town to Manorbier, in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales, and was twinned in 1981.

The Orvanne (French pronunciation: [ɔʁvan] ) is a 38.8 km (24.1 mi) long river in northern France located in the departments of Yonne (Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) and Seine-et-Marne (Île-de-France). It is a tributary of the river Loing on the right side, and so is a sub-tributary of the Seine. Its source is in the commune of Saint-Valérien, and it flows into the Loing in Moret-sur-Loing. The largest towns on the Orvanne are Voulx and Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne.

The Château de Moret is a castle in the commune of Moret-sur-Loing in the Seine-et-Marne département of France.Originally built in the 12th century, it was substantially altered in the 17th century.The castle sits on the edge of the plateau and its secondary defences slope down to the river. The town was built at the head of the bridge and on the slopes of the castle hillock. Its rectangular keep with buttresses dates back to Louis VII.Privately owned, it has been listed since 1926 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture. It is not open to the public.

Montarlot (French pronunciation: [mɔ̃taʁlo] ) is a former commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. On 1 January 2016 it was merged into the new commune of Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne.

Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne (French pronunciation: [mɔʁɛ lwɛ̃ e ɔʁvan]) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department, in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. Moret-sur-Loing is the municipal seat. The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 and consists of the former communes of Épisy, Montarlot and Orvanne. Orvanne was the result of the merger of the communes of Moret-sur-Loing and Écuelles on 1 January 2015. On 1 January 2017, the former commune of Veneux-les-Sablons was merged into Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne.

Saint-Mammès (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ mamɛ]) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France, in the metropolitan area of Paris. It is located 61 kilometres (38 mi) south-southeast of the centre of Paris, at the confluence of the Seine and Loing rivers. The Seine borders the northern boundaries of the city, while the Loing borders on the west.

Pincevent is an archaeological site in the commune of La Grande-Paroisse in France, near the town of Montereau-Fault-Yonne (Seine-et-Marne). It was excavated from 1964 onward by a team of the Centre des Recherches Préhistoriques of the University of Paris, led by André Leroi-Gourhan. Although there is evidence that the area was visited throughout the Late Pleistocene and Holocene, the site has become known for its Magdalenian remains, preserved in clays and silts deposited by the river Seine. These remains consist of stone artifacts and bone fragments, as well as numerous hearths, and are considered to point to repeated occupation by reindeer hunters [1].

The Communauté de communes Moret Seine et Loing is a federation of municipalities (communauté de communes) in the Seine-et-Marne département and in the Île-de-France région of France. Its area is 228.2 km2, and its population was 38,818 in 2018.

Écuelles (French pronunciation: [ekɥɛl]) is a former commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. On 1 January 2015, Écuelles and Moret-sur-Loing merged becoming one commune called Orvanne, which merged into the new commune Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne on 1 January 2016.
