Manila Science High School (Filipino: Mataás na Páaraláng Pang-aghám ng Maynila), colloquially known as MaSci, is a public science high school in the Philippines. It is located on Taft Avenue at the corner of Padre Faura Street in Ermita, Manila, and was established on October 1, 1963 as the first science high school in the Philippines.

The Philippine General Hospital (also known as University of the Philippines–Philippine General Hospital or UP–Philippine General Hospital), simply referred to as UP–PGH or PGH, is a tertiary state-owned hospital administered and operated by the University of the Philippines Manila. It is designated as the National University Hospital, and the national government referral center. It stands within a 10-hectare (25-acre) site located at the UP Manila Campus in Ermita, Manila. PGH has 1,100 beds and 400 private beds, and has an estimated of 4,000 employees to serve more than 600,000 patients every year.The PGH, being the largest training hospital in the country, is the laboratory hospital of health science students enrolled in the University of the Philippines. This includes students of medicine, nursing, physical therapy, pharmacy, occupational therapy, dentistry, and speech pathology. There are 16 clinical departments under the Philippine General Hospital — Family and Community Medicine, Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurosciences, Pediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation Medicine, Psychiatry, Radiology, Pathology, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Dermatology—all of which offer residency and fellowship training. It also offers various training for paramedical specialties such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, radiation technology, nutrition, hospital dentistry, medical technology and EMT training.

The Asian Social Institute (ASI) is a graduate school and research institution in Manila, Philippines. It is one of the few graduate institutes specializing in economics, sociology, social work and social services and development in the country.

The Iglesia Filipina Independiente National Cathedral, canonically known as the Cathedral of the Holy Child, is the national cathedral of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (Philippine Independent Church) and the seat of the Obispo Maximo (Supreme Bishop), the Church's chief pastor and spiritual head, located in Ermita, Manila, Philippines. It was built in 1969 and was dedicated to the honor of the Holy Infant Jesus, patron of Tondo, Manila. It replaced the first cathedral in Tondo, built in 1905, which was completely destroyed during World War II.

The Cathedral of Praise (COP) is a Full Gospel, Christ-centered megachurch based in Manila, Philippines. COP is headed by Pastors David and Beverley Sumrall. Founded in 1954, formerly Manila Bethel Temple, The Cathedral of Praise is a Christian church founded in 1954 by Ptr. Lester Sumrall. COP operates a Main Campus along Taft Avenue, Manila, an East Campus in Pioneer Centre, Pasig, a South Campus at Versailles, Las Piñas and a North Campus along Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City.

Pedro Gil station is an elevated Light Rail Transit (LRT) station located on the LRT Line 1 (LRT-1) system in Ermita, Manila. It is situated at the corner of Taft Avenue and Pedro Gil Street. The station takes its name from Pedro Gil Street, which is used to be named Herran Street. Pedro Gil station is the seventh station for trains headed to Fernando Poe Jr., and the fourteenth station for trains headed to Baclaran. Landmarks near the station include the Philippine General Hospital, the University of the Philippines Manila, Philippine Christian University, Philippine Women's University, Robinsons Manila, and St. Paul University Manila.

The Supreme Court (Filipino: Kataas-taasang Hukuman; colloquially referred to as the Korte Suprema (also used in formal writing) is the highest court in the Philippines. The Supreme Court was established by the Second Philippine Commission on June 11, 1901 through the enactment of its Act No. 136, an Act which abolished the Real Audiencia de Manila, the predecessor of the Supreme Court.The Supreme Court compound is located in what was formerly a part of the University of the Philippines Manila campus. It occupies the corner of Padre Faura Street and Taft Avenue in Ermita, Manila, with the main building sited directly in front of Philippine General Hospital’s cancer institute.

The Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) is an electoral tribunal that decides election protests involving the election of the President of the Philippines and Vice President of the Philippines. It is composed of justices of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. The equivalent tribunals for the Congress of the Philippines are House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal and the Senate Electoral Tribunal. It was established under Republic Act No. 1793 on June 21, 1957 during the term of then President Carlos P. Garcia and re-constituted under Batas Pambansa Blg. 884 (National Law No. 884) on December 3, 1985 during the term of then President Ferdinand Marcos.Members of the Tribunal receive a monthly allowance of 100,000 Philippine pesos on top of their regular salary.

The Paco Park (originally named as Cementerio General de Dilao) is a recreational garden and was once Manila's municipal cemetery built by the Dominicans during the Spanish colonial period. It is located on General Luna Street and at the east end of Padre Faura Street in Paco, Manila, Philippines. Paco Park has also become a popular venue for TV and film shootings, weddings, pre-nuptial shoots, private gatherings and cultural programs.One of its exposures in a movie was in Starting Over Again (2014 film) , wherein most of the memorable life of Ginny with Marco was shot in this place. Also, in the start of the movie, Marco was seen doing a history lectures to his other students, for he was a history professor in the movie before being a businessman.

The Plaridel Masonic Temple, is a reconstruction of a historic building located at 1440 San Marcelino Street in Ermita, Manila. It is the headquarters of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines. It was declared as a Historical Landmark in 1987 by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (formerly National Historical Institute).

Aguinaldo International School Manila (abbreviation: AIS Manila) is a private school in Paco, Manila, Philippines. It is non-denominational and co-educational, and serves both local and expat families. It is headed by a Canadian superintendent, Mr. Tim Boulton. The school consists of an Early Learning Center, elementary school, and high school.
