The canton of Le Kremlin-Bicêtre is an administrative division of the Val-de-Marne department, Île-de-France region, northern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Le Kremlin-Bicêtre (French pronunciation: ​[lə kʁɛmlɛ̃.bisɛtʁ] (listen)) is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. It is 4.5 km (2.8 mi) from the center of Paris. It is one of the most densely populated municipalities in Europe. Le Kremlin-Bicêtre is most famous as the location of the Bicêtre Hospital, where Superintendent Philippe Pinel is credited as being the first to introduce humane methods into the treatment of the mentally ill, in 1793. Its most notorious guest was the Marquis de Sade.

Web@cademie is a private, nonprofit and tuition-free computer programming school created and funded by French IONIS Education Group with several partners including Epitech and Zup de Co association. The school was first opened in Paris in 2010.Headquartered in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, the school has branches in Lyon Strasbourg and Nancy. Web@cademie delivers a two-year program dedicated to people with no degree and no background (without the French Baccalaureate but with a strong motivation in computer science). This is to help dropout students to have a job in a competitive industry.The school has received the award Grande École du Numérique. The school is a non-profit organization and is entirely free. Major company such as Microsoft give financial support.

The École Pour l'Informatique et les Techniques Avancées (English: EPITA School of Engineering and Computer Science), more commonly known as EPITA, is a private French grande école specialized in the field of computer science and software engineering created in 1984 by Patrice Dumoucel. It is a private engineering school, member of IONIS Education Group since 1994, accredited by the Commission des titres d'ingénieur (CTI) to deliver the French Diplôme d'Ingénieur, and based at Le Kremlin-Bicêtre south of Paris.In June 2013, EPITA becomes member of the Union of Independent Grandes Écoles, which includes 30 grandes écoles.The school is part of IONIS Education Group.

The Bicêtre Hospital is located in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. It lies 4.5 km (2.8 miles) from the center of Paris. The Bicêtre Hospital was originally planned as a military hospital, with construction begun in 1634. With the help of Vincent de Paul, it was finally opened as an orphanage in 1642. It was incorporated into the Hôpital Général de Paris in 1656. In 1823, it was called the Hospice de la Vieillesse Hommes. In 1885, it was renamed the Hospice de Bicêtre.

Ivry Cemetery (cimetière parisien d'Ivry) is one of the extramural cemeteries of Paris, located in the neighbouring town of Ivry-sur-Seine in Val-de-Marne, less than 500 metres outside Paris's intramural area. As well as a green space, it is a refuge for wild flora and fauna and bears the QualiPARIS label.It is made up of two enclosures separated by the rue Paul-Andrieux. The north enclosure opened in 1861, covering 7.69 hectares, with a western part bought in 1897 to become the separate Kremlin-Bicêtre Cemetery. The south enclosure was set up in 1874 and covers 20.69 hectares. In total the two enclosures contain 48,000 concessions split into 47 divisions, with 240,000 burials between 1861 and 2007 and still receiving 1,000 burials a year. It has 1800 trees, making it a green space under ecological management.Since 2015 it has been mechanically weeded, with no more chemical weedkiller used. Plants have been grown up the cemetery walls and some paths grassed over. Nesting boxes and hedgehog shelters were installed by the ville de Paris's environmental services. Tawny owls, hedgehogs, bats, foxes, hawks and woodpeckers were recorded at the cemetery late in 2016. Fruit trees were planted to feed bees and birds.

Villejuif–Léo Lagrange (French pronunciation: ​[vilʒɥif leo laɡʁɑ̃ʒ]) is a station of the Paris Métro, located on Line 7. It serves the commune of Villejuif.

The École Yabné is a Jewish school located in Paris. Founded in 1948—by Chief Rabbi Jacob Kaplan, with the help of Rabbi Élie Munk and Chief Rabbi Henri Schilli—it continues to this day.

The Fort de Bicêtre is a military structure built between 1841 and 1845 during the reign of Louis-Philippe during a time of tension between France and England, in the Paris suburb of Kremlin-Bicêtre. The fort is part of the Thiers Wall fortifications of Paris, built under a program of defensive works initiated by Adolphe Thiers. The fort served as a prison for those involved in the French coup of 1851. Occupied by the Prussians in 1871, the fort was briefly occupied by communards during the Paris Commune. After 1874, under the direction of General Raymond Adolphe Séré de Rivières, the ring of Thiers fortifications was reinforced by a second ring of forts, reflecting the increased range of artillery during the intervening years. The Fort de Bicêtre was not modernized at this time, since it was considered too close to Paris to be useful. From 1940 to 1944 the fort was occupied by German troops. After World War II the fort remained a military post, successively accommodating an artillery unit, a Marine infantry battalion, and from 1946 a military radio facility.

Porte d'Italie is one of the city gates of Paris, located in the 13th arrondissement, at the intersection of Avenue d'Italie, Boulevard Massena, Avenue de la Porte d'Italie and street Kellermann, facing the Kremlin-Bicetre. The "gate of Italy" is the starting point of Route nationale 7 between Paris and Italy, hence the name. It is conveniently located between the 87 and 88 bastions of the old Thiers wall.

Porte d'Italie (French pronunciation: ​[pɔʁt ditali]) is a station of the Paris Métro, serving Line 7 and Tramway Line 3a. The station opened on 7 March 1930 as part of Line 10 when it was extended from Place d'Italie to Porte de Choisy. The station was integrated into line 7 on 26 April 1931. In 2006, Paris Tramway Line 3 (now 3a) opened, with a stop at Porte d'Italie. It is named after the Porte d'Italie, a gate in the nineteenth century Thiers wall of Paris, which led to the south and Italy.
