Johnson County Executive Airport (IATA: OJC, ICAO: KOJC, FAA LID: OJC) is a public airport located four miles (6 km) southeast of the central business district (CBD) of Olathe, a city in Johnson County, Kansas, United States. Measured by number of aircraft operations, the facility was the fourth-busiest airport in the state of Kansas in 2018. The airport was on the FAA's list of airports whose control tower could be closed in September 2013, but it remains in operation.

On February 22, 2017, Adam Purinton shot two Indian men, Srinivas Kuchibhotla and Alok Madasani, whom he had allegedly mistaken for Iranians, at a restaurant in Olathe, Kansas, killing Kuchibhotla. He reportedly yelled "get out of my country" and "terrorist" before firing. A third man, Ian Grillot, was wounded after he came to the two men's aid. Several hours later, Purinton was arrested in Clinton, Missouri.

Portions of the city of Olathe make up 66% of the district's territory. Areas of Lenexa make up 19%, sections of Overland Park make up 8%, and portions of Shawnee make up less than 1%. Unincorporated areas make up about 6% of the territory.

Olathe South's official colors are blue and gold, and the official mascot is the Falcon. Kansas's 3rd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Kansas. Located in eastern Kansas, the district encompasses all of Anderson, Franklin, Johnson and Miami counties and parts of Wyandotte County. The district includes most of the Kansas side of the Kansas City metropolitan area, including all of Overland Park, Leawood, Lenexa, Shawnee, Gardner, and Olathe and parts of Kansas City. The 3rd district is represented by Democrat Sharice Davids, who was first elected in 2018, defeating Republican incumbent Kevin Yoder. Reapportionment in 2022 altered the district's boundaries to add Anderson and Franklin counties and the part of Miami County that was not already in the 3rd congressional district. The southern part of Wyandotte County roughly along I-70 stayed in the district, while the area north of I-70 moved to the 2nd congressional district. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+1, it is only Kansas district that is not heavily Republican.

It is located at 250 S. Rogers Rd. Olathe, Kansas, United States.The primary responsibility of Kansas City Center is sequencing and separation of over-flights, arrivals, and departures in order to provide safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of aircraft filed under instrument flight rules (IFR). Kansas City Center is the 15th busiest ARTCC in the United States. Between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2017, Kansas City Center handled 1,801,888 aircraft operations. Kansas City Center covers approximately 192,000 square miles of the Midwestern United States, Southern United States, and the Western United States, including parts of Kansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Missouri.Kansas City Center lies adjacent to seven Air Route Traffic Control Centers, including Minneapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center, Chicago Air Route Traffic Control Center, Indianapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center, Memphis Air Route Traffic Control Center, Fort Worth Air Route Traffic Control Center, Denver Air Route Traffic Control Center, and Albuquerque Air Route Traffic Control Center. ZKC overlies or abuts many approach control facilities (including Kansas City, Oklahoma City, St. Louis, Tulsa, Springfield, MO, and Wichita).

The Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead is a family attraction in Overland Park, Kansas. The facility shows farm animals, birds of prey, show gardens, butterfly gardens, a nature trail, a Kanza Native American display, and a full-scale one-room schoolhouse. The facility also provides playgrounds, a fishing pond, horse-drawn wagon rides, and pony rides.The facility began as a petting zoo in 1978 and was renamed in 1985 to honor Deanna Rose, an Overland Park police officer. Rose was the first Overland Park police officer killed in the line of duty.In 2014, the site began hosting an elaborate Christmas light display around the Christmas Holiday Season.
