Clifton Lane is also home to the Rotherham Town Cricket Club, known as the 'Builders'. The club play in the highly regarded ECB Yorkshire League and South Yorkshire League.

Clifton is a suburb of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. It is part of the Boston Castle ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, which in 2011 had a population of 13,486. It is known for its landmark Beeversleigh Flats, a 40m high tower block with an unusual hexagonal shape, built in 1970 which can be seen from many places across the borough, due in part to its position at the top of a hill. It is positioned just outside Rotherham town centre, bordered by other suburbs such as Eastwood, Broom and East Herringthorpe. Attractions include Clifton Park, a large recreational area which includes Clifton Park Museum, which re-opened in 2005 following a 2-year refurbishment costing £3 million.

Clifton Park and Museum is a city park and municipal museum located in Clifton Park, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. Clifton Park Museum is located in Clifton House and is one of several publicly owned museums and visitor attractions administered by the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. The house is the headquarters of Heritage Services, which also includes the York and Lancaster Regimental Museum and Archives and Local Studies. It is a Grade II* listed building. Clifton Park is a visitor attraction with facilities including a skate park, rockery, memorial park and children's play areas. It is also Grade II listed with Historic England.

Parkgate (or Rotherham Parkgate) is a tram-train stop on the Sheffield Supertram network. It opened on 25 October 2018, following the opening of the extension from Meadowhall to Rotherham Parkgate, and serves the suburb of Parkgate, Rotherham in South Yorkshire. It is situated next to the Rotherham Parkgate shopping park, which is located to the north-east of the town centre, near the border with the village of Rawmarsh, South Yorkshire.

Herringthorpe Stadium is an athletics stadium in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. It contains a 400m, Olympic-class running track and grass pitch, as well as facilities for other Olympic disciplines such as discus nets. The stadium was the area's premier athletics venue until the English Institute of Sport opened in Sheffield in 2004. Rotherham Harriers athletics club are based at the stadium, which is the home ground of Rugby League Conference side Rotherham Giants, and it has also hosted Rotherham Titans rugby union games and school competitions.

Aldwarke is an industrial area in South Yorkshire, England. It is in the Eastern suburbs of Rotherham. Aldwarke is east of the neighbouring suburb of Parkgate and 1.9 miles (3.1 km) north-east of Rotherham town centre. There is a large steelworks factory in the immediate area. Aldwarke Lock is on the Don Navigation Canal, which runs parallel to the River Don.

Rotherham Civic Theatre is a converted Congregational church in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England which is now a medium-scale proscenium arch theatre playing host to a wide program of professional and amateur dance, drama, musicals, children's theatre, comedy, music and pantomime.

The South Yorkshire Transport Museum (SYTM) is a transport museum of South Yorkshire and surrounding areas in the United Kingdom. It was formerly known as the Sheffield Bus Museum Founded in the 1960, STYM is located in Aldwarke in Rotherham. STYM also features buses, the lower deck of a Sheffield Tramway tramcar, a tractor, a lorry, milk floats and an extensive array of bicycles plus static displays of models and memorabilia.

Doncaster Gate Hospital was a hospital located in Rotherham in South Yorkshire, England.

Rotherham Road railway station, named Park Gate until 1 November 1895, was a railway station situated in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. It was built close to the Rotherham borough boundary with access from Rawmarsh Road, Rotherham and served two rows of stone build terraced houses, "Parkgate Row", closest to the station and "Stone Row", actually on Rotherham Road, Parkgate. The station, opened in September 1871, was built in the Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway's (MS&LR) "Double Pavilion" style with the main building on the Doncaster bound platform, approach being from Rotherham Road. This station was provided with a private waiting room reserved for the use of Earl Fitzwilliam and his parties. This facility also included a toilet with the Earl's crest featured on the w.c. In particular this involved regular travel to Doncaster for the St. Leger race meeting when an all first class train was run from Sheffield to Doncaster calling only at Rotherham Road. The station was closed on 5 January 1953.The stationmaster had, under his control, the small yard and interchange sidings on the Rotherham side of the station. This handled some of the traffic to and from South Yorkshire Coke and Chemicals works and, from 1873 via Earl Fitzwilliam's private railway, his colliery interests. At the buffer stops end of the yard there was a wagon repair facility which closed many years ago. The access to the yard was controlled by Rotherham Road signal box until 10 May 1987 when Sheffield power box took over control of the line between Holmes Junction and Aldwarke Junction. The box was demolished over the weekend of 30–31 January 1988. Immediately on the Parkgate side of the station was a small swing bridge carrying the line over the Greasbrough Canal which necessitated a 10 mph (16 km/h) speed limit, which has been raised since the span was fixed. This was controlled by an early MS&LR hipped roof signal box named "Parkgate" built on the Parkgate side of the canal by the line. This early signal box was removed in the early years of the 20th century, a few years after the opening of Rotherham Road signal box. At the nationalisation of the canals, this canal was not included and it belongs to Earl Fitzwilliam's Estates.
