Rabenstein Castle (Saxony)

Splash! is one of Europe's biggest hip hop and reggae festivals. It first took place in 1998, in the inner city of Chemnitz, Germany. The next year, the location of the festival changed to the Oberrabenstein reservoir near the city, where it remained through 2006. In 2007 and 2008, the festival was held on the Pouch peninsula in Bitterfeld. In 2009, the festival moved to the Ferropolis in Gräfenhainichen, which remains the official site. In the early years, there were two stages; one each for hip-hop and reggae. In 2006, the festival extended to six stages and four party tents. In addition to hip-hop and drum and bass DJs, the tents also house dancehall and reggae sound systems, a graffiti contest and ITF matches. The name "Splash" hints at both the waterside location, and the phrase "to make a splash".

The Chemnitz Zoo (German: Tierpark Chemnitz) is a zoo in the city Chemnitz in Sachsen, Germany. The Zoo was opened in 1964, and covers 1 000 animals from 200 species, living on 10 hectares (24.7 acres). During the first decenniums most species reflected the nature of the Soviet Union, and later the zoo reconcepted into breeding of endangered species. In 2014 The Zoo had 178.233 visitors. In 2004, a lion wounded a female zookeeper, and in 2006 another female zookeeper was killed by a leopard. After the female Amur tiger Taiga died in the fall of 2016, the male Jantar lived alone in the tiger enclosure. In December 2017, a second Amur tiger, Wolodja from the Nuremberg Zoo, moved into the facility again. However, the already 19-year-old Jantar was euthanized just a few weeks later.

The Kreuz Chemnitz (German: Autobahnkreuz Chemnitz) is a partial cloverleaf interchange with a direct link east–south and vice versa in the German state of Saxony. The roads crossing in the interchange are the A 4 and the A 72.

Hartmannsdorf (Hartmannsdorf bei Chemnitz) is a small municipality in the district Mittweida, Saxony, Germany, near the town Chemnitz. As of 2020 it has a population of 4,421.

Limbach Municipal Church is a church in Limbach-Oberfrohna in Saxony (Germany), which was built in the 16th century. In 1811 it was transformed into a municipal church and in 1894 it was enlarged. In 1899 its tower was renewed after the old one was destroyed by lightning. It has a height of 29 metres. On January 25, 2009, a speeding car crashed into the roof of the church, whereby the driver was severely hurt. The police reported that the car skipped thirty meters of ground and hit the church in a height of seven meters.

Chemnitzer Land is a former district in Saxony, Germany. It was bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the district of Mittweida, the city of Chemnitz, the districts of Stollberg and Zwickauer Land and the state of Thuringia (district Altenburger Land).

Wüstenbrand station is a station on the Dresden–Werdau railway in the south west of the German State of Saxony. In the past, it was a terminus for the secondary lines to Limbach-Oberfrohna and Neuoelsnitz. Currently, it serves as a through station.

The Botanischer Garten Chemnitz (12 hectares) is a municipal botanical garden located at Leipziger Straße 147, Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany. It is open daily without charge. The garden was founded in 1898 on a 1-hectare site, and extended in 1933 with an additional 1.75 hectares of orchards. It was badly damaged during World War II, and reconstructed during the 1950s. Today's garden was organized in 1996, with new greenhouses built in 1998 and 2002. The garden contains a number of outdoor areas in which Central European habitats are replicated, including heath, dune, steppe, moors, and ponds, as well as 20 different forest communities. It also contains collections of crop plants from around the world, medicinal and aromatic plants, and annual and perennial flowers. The garden's greenhouses contain about 800 species, including cacti and succulents, carnivorous plants, pineapples, banana, coffee, manioc, vanilla, oranges, rattan, taro, and sisal, as follows: Tropical greenhouse (500 m2) - Central and South American wild plants and crops. Mediterranean greenhouse - approximately 100 species including ornamental and wild plants such as Cistus, Echium, rosemary, and oleander. Cactus and succulents (120 m2) - primarily cacti and succulents from Mexico, as well as succulents from southern Africa and Madagascar.

Burgstädt (German pronunciation: [ˈbʊɐ̯kʃtɛt]) is a town in the district of Mittelsachsen, in Saxony, Germany. It is situated 12 km northwest of Chemnitz.
