Pfaffenberg is a mountain in Hohenstein-Ernstthal in the state of Saxony, southeastern Germany. It is part of the Saxon Uplands. In the 1860s, the Royal Saxon Triangulation operated station number 16 on the Pfaffenberg. The triangulation point is still visible.

The towns of Hohenstein and Ernstthal were united in 1898, and the town is either known by its hyphenated form, or simply called Hohenstein. The town grew in the 15th century after silver mines were established nearby. Ernstthal was named in honor of August Ernst von Schoenburg. Physicist Gotthilf Heinrich von Schubert and inventor Christoph Gottlieb Schröter were born in Hohenstein. The writer Karl May was born in Ernstthal. The house of his birth is a museum. Furthermore, Hohenstein-Ernstthal is especially famous for the Sachsenring racing circuit.

Oberlungwitz (German: [ˈoːbɐ.ˌlʊŋ.vɪt͡s] ) is a town in the Zwickau district, in Saxony, Germany. It is situated 18 km northeast of Zwickau, and 15 km west of Chemnitz.

Hohenstein-Ernstthal station is the railway station of Hohenstein-Ernstthal in the south west of the German State of Saxony. The station is classified as a category 5 station by DB Station&Service and has two platform tracks. It is served daily by about 85 trains and is located on the Dresden–Werdau railway. The train station is served only by regional and local trains.

Limbach Municipal Church is a church in Limbach-Oberfrohna in Saxony (Germany), which was built in the 16th century. In 1811 it was transformed into a municipal church and in 1894 it was enlarged. In 1899 its tower was renewed after the old one was destroyed by lightning. It has a height of 29 metres. On January 25, 2009, a speeding car crashed into the roof of the church, whereby the driver was severely hurt. The police reported that the car skipped thirty meters of ground and hit the church in a height of seven meters.

Limbach-Oberfrohna is a town in the district of Zwickau in Saxony, Germany.

Splash! is one of Europe's biggest hip hop and reggae festivals. It first took place in 1998, in the inner city of Chemnitz, Germany. The next year, the location of the festival changed to the Oberrabenstein reservoir near the city, where it remained through 2006. In 2007 and 2008, the festival was held on the Pouch peninsula in Bitterfeld. In 2009, the festival moved to the Ferropolis in Gräfenhainichen, which remains the official site. In the early years, there were two stages; one each for hip-hop and reggae. In 2006, the festival extended to six stages and four party tents. In addition to hip-hop and drum and bass DJs, the tents also house dancehall and reggae sound systems, a graffiti contest and ITF matches. The name "Splash" hints at both the waterside location, and the phrase "to make a splash".

Gersdorf is a municipality in the district of Zwickau in Saxony in Germany. The conductor Günther Müller was born in Gersdorf in 1925.

Rabenstein Castle (German:Burg Rabenstein) is the smallest Medieval castle in Saxony. It is located in the Chemnitz suburb of Rabenstein and belongs to the Chemnitz Castle Hill Museum.

Lugau is a town in the district Erzgebirgskreis, in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. It is situated 17 km east of Zwickau, and 17 km southwest of Chemnitz. The town has partnerships with Sallaumines (France) and Penzberg (Bavaria).
