Bolintin-Vale (Romanian pronunciation: [bolinˌtin ˈvale]) is a town in Giurgiu County, Muntenia, Romania with a population of 12,806 as of 2021. The town administers three villages: Crivina, Malu Spart, and Suseni. It is the second largest city in the county; proximity to the capital Bucharest has helped the local economy. It officially became a town in 1989, as a result of the Romanian rural systematization program.

In the last years (mainly after 2000), Tărtășești knew a notable development, becoming one of the most important communes near Bucharest (mostly because of modernization of the roads, introducing the gas network and expanding the Bucharest metropolitan area, which brought the Romanian capital to a very short distance - 15 km). The most common activity the people is agriculture, but there are also a few industrial facilities - bread factory, food processing facility, storage facilities, etc.

Ilfov (river)

The Ilfov (not to be confused with the Ilfovăț) is a left tributary of the river Dâmbovița in Romania. The river has given its name to Ilfov County. Its source is in the hills west of Târgoviște. It flows through the villages Udrești, Bungetu, Ilfoveni, Mircea Vodă, Heleșteu, Răcari and Bâldana. It discharges into the Dâmbovița near Bâcu. Its length is 96 km (60 mi) and its basin size is 203 km2 (78 sq mi).
