Cuddington is a village and civil parish within the Buckinghamshire district in the ceremonial county of Buckinghamshire, England. It is near the Oxfordshire border, about six miles west of Aylesbury. The village name is Old English (Anglo-Saxon) in origin, and means "Cudda's estate." In the Domesday Book of 1086 it was recorded as Cudintuna. Anciently the village was the location of a medicinal spring of great repute, though its exact location is unknown. The Church of St Nicholas dates from the 12th Century but was much restored in 1857. Across the road is Tyringham Hall that dates from the 17th Century. During the Second World War the King of Norway who was staying at the nearby Hartwell House attended a church service in the village. Cuddington is centred on the village green and the road junction linking Aylesbury, Long Crendon and Haddenham. The majority of the original houses were built on the north side but in the last 50 years or so new homes have been built predominantly on the south side. The current population is around 550 residents. Two of the most famous former residents were Jonathan and David Dimbleby. The village, like surrounding villages, has been the location of several Midsomer Murders episodes. Facilities in the village include: Shop/post office Hairdressing salon Pub/Restaurant 2 Churches (although one of these is rarely used) Village Hall Playing Field with Clubhouse, Tennis Courts, Children's Park and Cricket and Football pitchesFor many years the village has won the regional heat of Britain's Best Kept Village Competition and also the Britain in Bloom competition. Cuddington and Dinton Church of England School is a mixed Church of England primary school. It is a voluntary aided school, which takes children from the age of four through to the age of eleven. Cuddington was an infant school but has recently merged with Dinton School to form a full primary school on two sites. There are now just over one hundred pupils on roll.

The museum, which is run by volunteers, first opened in 1998, and is housed in the Old Schoolroom of the Methodist chapel in the centre of the village. Gibraltar, Buckinghamshire

Gibraltar is a hamlet in the parish of Dinton-with-Ford and Upton in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located on the modern main road that links Aylesbury with Thame. The hamlet is named after the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. In 2003, the public house in Gibraltar, called the Bottle and Glass, was gutted when the thatch of the pub roof caught fire following an electrical fault in the upper storey of the building. Following extensive rebuilding the Bottle and Glass reopened on 27 April 2007.

Haddenham War Memorial

Haddenham War Memorial is located in Church End, Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, England. It is a grade II listed building with Historic England. It was built in the summer of 1921 and unveiled by the Marquis of Lincolnshire on 16 October 1921. The memorial is built from Portland stone and stands 14 feet high. The apex of the obelisk is surmounted by a ball finial carved with acanthus (plant) leaves, between which are the thistle, shamrock and rose. The base has corner pilasters, framing the inscribed panels. On the North face of the obelisk is carved a laurel wreath, with the words ‘OUR GLORIOUS DEAD’ and ‘THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE’. On the plinth are the words: ‘IN/ HONOUR/ AND/ UNDYING MEMORY/ OF/ THE MEN OF THIS VILLAGE/ WHO/ GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ OF/ 1914- 1918/ AND/ 1939 -1945’. The names are then recorded, with the regiments to which the men belonged.

Snakemoor is a 1.8 hectares (4.4 acres) Local Nature Reserve in Haddenham in Buckinghamshire. It is owned and managed by Haddenham Parish Council.The site became a nature reserve in 1987. It has a hay meadow, woods and a pond. There are over 100 species of flowers and other plants, including snowdrops and lent lily, a small native species of daffodil.There is access by a footpath from Thame Road, next to Haddenham and Thame Parkway railway station.
