Above Church is a hamlet about 0.6 kilometers (0.4 mi) northwest of Ipstones in the English county of Staffordshire. It is located at grid reference SK016504.

Staffordshire Moorlands is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2010 by Karen Bradley, a Conservative who served as Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport between 2016 and 2018, before she became Secretary of State for Northern Ireland from 2018 to 2019. As with all constituencies, the constituency elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election at least every five years. This seat has seen a swing to the Conservatives at the past four elections. Karen Bradley was re-elected in the 2019 general election, with an increased majority of 16,428 votes.

Ipstones railway station was a railway station that served the village of Ipstones, Staffordshire. It was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) in 1905 and closed to passenger use in 1935, but remained open to freight traffic until 1964.The station site today is used as a run-around loop for trains on the heritage Churnet Valley Railway with plans to reopen a station on the site.

The Uttoxeter Canal was a thirteen-mile extension of the Caldon Canal running from Froghall as far as Uttoxeter in Staffordshire, England. It was authorised in 1797, but did not open until 1811. With the exception of the first lock and basin at Froghall, it closed in 1849, in order that the Churnet Valley line of the North Staffordshire Railway could be constructed along its length. The railway has since been dismantled and there are plans to reinstate the canal.

Froghall is a village situated approximately ten miles to the east of Stoke-on-Trent and two miles north of Cheadle in Staffordshire, England. Coombes Valley RSPB reserve (grid reference SK005525) is a nature reserve, run by the RSPB, near the town of Leek in Staffordshire, England. It is best known for its breeding woodland birds, including common redstart, wood warbler and pied flycatcher. It is also home to the nationally scarce argent and sable moth, a priority species in the UK's Biodiversity Action Plan.The Combes Brook flows through the valley on its way to the River Churnet.

Consall railway station is a former passenger railway station of the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) and is now a preserved station on the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire, England.

Kingsley is a small village in the Staffordshire Moorlands near to Cheadle, and situated on the A52 from Stoke on Trent to Ashbourne. The civil parish population taken at the 2011 census was 2,204.Nowadays Kingsley is a quiet rural village, but until the early 20th century it was the centre of the Churnet Valley iron mining industry. Partly as a result the village then had many pubs but none exist today. The Bull's Head closed in 2019 and re-opened in October 2022 as a shop; The Old Swan Pub has been converted into a large family house; and The Plough has been demolished and houses have been built where the pub and its car park once were. There are no longer any other shops within the village when there once were butchers shops, grocery shops, a haberdashers etc. The village is close to Alton Towers. The one school is called St Werburghs Primary School, named after the local Church of England parish church.

Bradnop is a village in Staffordshire, England, located just a few miles to the southeast of the market town of Leek. The name Bradnop was first recorded in 1197, and gets its name from the Old English words "bradan", meaning broad, and "hop", meaning enclosed valley. Historically Bradnop was a township of the parish of Leek, and later became a civil parish in its own right, with an area 3,568 acres (1,444 hectares).
