The Cherry Street Hotel is an 1859 heritage building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the southeast corner of Front Street and Cherry Street, in the West Don Lands neighbourhood. The structure was originally the Palace Street School, which closed in 1887. The building was converted into a hotel, and later became an industrial building housing small industry. In the 1960s, the Canary Restaurant opened. The building became a type of incubator, renting small spaces for artists and small businesses. The restaurant closed after the area around the building was demolished for the new West Don Lands community. The building has been integrated into the new community and its facade retained and restored. Its next use has not been announced.

The Young Centre for the Performing Arts is a theatre in the Distillery District in downtown Toronto, Canada. It is a brand-new theatre built into 19th-century-era Victorian industrial buildings. It is home to the Soulpepper Theatre Company and the theatre school at George Brown College.

Inglenook Community High School is a Toronto public high school which offers grade 10, 11, and 12 level courses. It is housed in an historical building designed by William George Storm in Corktown, in downtown Toronto, Ontario. The school has, on average, one hundred students and six teachers. It is located in the oldest continually-operated school building of the Toronto District School Board.In 1994, Inglenook Community High School was named an exemplary school by the Canadian Education Association.

Distillery Loop is a streetcar loop in the Toronto streetcar system in Toronto, Ontario, Canada that lies at the south end of the Cherry Street branch – originally dubbed the Cherry Street streetcar line – that runs from a streetcar junction on King Street East south along Sumach and Cherry Streets. The loop opened in June 2016 and is some of the newer streetcar infrastructure in the city. The Cherry Street branch is currently served by the 504A King streetcar route which has its eastern terminus at Distillery Loop.

The Theatre Museum Canada was founded by Herbert Whittaker in 1982, for the purpose of preserving and celebrating Canada's theatrical cultural heritage. The museum's honorary patron is Christopher Plummer. One of Theatre Museum Canada's ongoing projects is the Legends Library, which consists of filmed interviews of Canadian theatre icons such as William Hutt and Robert LePage. In addition to their online exhibits, the museum tours exhibits to various venues in Toronto. On August 30, 2011, David Mirvish announced that a space of 9,675 square feet was to be allocated for the Museum in a "great location" in Toronto's theatre district. This location is 355 King Street West. The museum will have a home in the new King Blue Condominium, Retail and Hotel project at King Street & Blue Jays Way. This is just down the street from The TIFF Bell Lightbox - and about 2 blocks away from the proposed Mirvish/Gehry Project.

The building is located at 106 Trinity Street between King Street East and Eastern Avenue in Toronto, Ontario. Canada. It is the oldest school standing in the city.

The Stone Distillery is an 1859 heritage industrial building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the oldest and largest building in the Distillery District complex of Gooderham & Worts Distillery buildings.

Little Trinity Anglican Church (officially Trinity East) is a parish church of the Anglican Church of Canada. It is located at 425 King Street East in the Corktown neighbourhood, just east of downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. An Ontario Heritage Trust plaque at the site notes that the 1844 church is the oldest surviving church in the city.

Underpass Park is a public space designed by PFS Studio and The Planning Partnership located beneath the overpasses of Adelaide Street, Eastern Avenue, and Richmond Street in the West Don Lands neighbourhood of Toronto. The first phase of the development features a playground, basketball courts, and skate park, and was officially opened by Toronto Mayor Rob Ford on August 2, 2012. The park is an initiative of Waterfront Toronto, and is the 18th public space that the group has built or revitalized since 2005 in the Toronto waterfront district. The initial phase of Underpass Park cost approximately $6 million, paid for mostly by Government of Canada. A second phase, cost $3.5 million, opened in the spring of 2013.Among the artists featured are an Indigenous street mural by Chief Lady Bird, Aura, and Christopher Ross among others.

The Dominion Hotel is a restaurant and former hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Constructed in the late nineteenth century in the Corktown neighbourhood, it is a heritage hotel structure that has not been torn down and replaced with a modern structure. The structure is a designated heritage property.The hotel was constructed in 1889. Its first owner was Robert T. Davies, who founded the Dominion Brewery to the west of the building (now Dominion Square) in 1877. Davies had previously been the manager of the nearby Don Brewery, owned by his relative Thomas Davies.As originally constructed, the hotel was four stories tall, had a mansard roof, and a small tower. The top floor, once "boasted an elegant performance space". Sometime after 1945, the structure lost its fourth floor, mansard roof and tower. The hotel re-opened in 1998 as a bar.The bar closed in 2014 for renovation work. In mid-2015, FAB Restaurant Concepts purchased the bar and on November 31, 2015 it was re-opened as the Dominion Pub & Kitchen. The upper floors are used as a rooming house of 25 units.

The Dominion Brewery was a brewery in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It operated from 1878 until 1936. The brewery was founded by Robert T. Davies in 1877. Davies had been a manager at his brother Thomas' brewery, the Don Brewery on the Don River at Queen Street East in Toronto. The new brewery opened in 1878, built less than two city blocks away, on Queen Street just west of Sumach Street. Davies had brewed ale and porter varieties, but hired German experts to make lager. The name of the brewery was synonymous with its aim, to be available across Canada, which stretched more Ontario east to the Maritimes. The brewery won awards in 1885 at a competition in New Orleans and continued to enter its products in competitions, with the awards prominently displayed on the labels of the bottles. Being especially proud of its win for an India pale ale product, the label of the beer was replaced with a replica of the award certificate and renamed White Label Ale. By 1888, the brewery shipped over one million gallons of beer annually.The brewery was sold in 1891 to British interests for CA$1.2 million, and Davies remained its managing director until 1900, when he retired from the brewing business. In 1926, the brewery was sold to the Hamilton Brewing Association, which owned the Regal Brewery in Hamilton, becoming part of the acquisitions forming Canadian Brewing Corporation. In turn, Canadian Brewing Corporation was merged in 1930 with the Brewing Company of Ontario (later Canadian Breweries) conglomerate being set up by E. P. Taylor. In 1936, Taylor moved production of Davies' beer to the Cosgrave Brewery. Cosgrave founded in 1860s would be acquired by O'Keefe Brewery in 1945.The brewery's west wing and south main wing are both still in existence, having been converted to commercial space in 1981. The nearby Dominion Hotel, an affiliated business, operated for a number of years, however since 2015 it is now home to the pub Dominion on Queen.
