Penybont F.C.

Bryntirion Athletic F.C. (Welsh: Clwb Pêl Droed Athletaidd Bryntirion) was a Welsh football team from the Bridgend suburb of Bryntirion. In 2013, they merged with local rivals Bridgend Town to form Pen-y-Bont.

Union School of Theology is a Reformed educational institution in Bryntirion in Bridgend, South Wales. The School is part of the wider Christian ministry of Union which also involves church planting and the production of theological resources.

Cefn Glas is an area on the northwestern outskirts of the town of Bridgend, Wales. It is part of the community of Laleston. In the 2001 Census, Cefn Glas had a population of 1,742 people, making up 1.35% of Bridgend's total population. This population reduced to 1,537 at the 2011 Census.Ysgol Gyfun Bryntirion (Bryntyrion Comprehensive School) is located on Merlin Crescent. Cefn Glas is also the name of the electoral ward to Bridgend County Borough Council, since 1999 electing one county councillor. The ward is bordered to the north and east by the mainline railway and to the west by Nant Cefn.

Court Colman Manor is a historic Tudor mansion (now a hotel) in Pen-y-fai, Bridgend, South Wales. The property belonged to Margam Abbey until the Dissolution, after which it passed through several hands. It was built in 1766 by Hopkin Rees (1729–1780) and enlarged and modified in 1907 by Robert William Llewellyn (1848–1910).

St David's Church, Laleston is a Grade I listed church in Laleston, Bridgend County Borough, southern Wales. It is listed Grade 1 as a medieval church with its fabric, including timber roofs, mainly intact, and having group value with the churchyard cross and Cliff Cottage.

Laleston is a village and a community in Bridgend County Borough, south Wales, directly west of Bridgend town centre. The village takes its name from the Norman Lageles family who settled in the area. Buildings of note in the village include St David's Church, which still possesses features dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries, the Great House which was built in the early 16th century and Horeb Welsh Presbyterian Church (1831). As a community, Laleston includes the areas of Bryntirion, Cefn Glas, Tythegston and Broadlands. The boundaries of the community are almost entirely set by transportation routes, with the western and north western border defined by the M4 motorway, where it then turns south-easterly at Stormy Down following the A48 back towards Bridgend town centre. It then takes in the Greenfields area, briefly following the banks of the River Ogmore, before heading north to Cefn Glas, but skirting Bridgend town centre and Newcastle. At the 2001 census, the community's population was 8,475, increasing to 12,586 at the 2011 Census, a 48.5% increase.

Pen-y-fai is a village in the county borough of Bridgend, Wales within the Bridgend electoral ward area and the community of Newcastle Higher. The ward population taken at the 2011 census was 2,447.

Newcastle is an area and electoral ward of the town of Bridgend, Wales. The area includes the medieval Newcastle Castle. The ward elects councillors to Bridgend Town Council and Bridgend County Borough Council.

Newcastle Higher is a community in Bridgend County Borough, south Wales. Located north west of Bridgend town centre it is made up of the townships of Pen-y-fai and Aberkenfig and straddles the M4 motorway. The community is home to several notable buildings, including the Pen-y-fai Hospital (the former Glamorganshire Lunatic Asylum), Court Coleman and All Saints Church. At the 2001 census, the community's population was 3,695, increasing to 4,046 at the 2011 Census.

Newcastle Castle (Welsh: Y Castell Newydd) is a medieval castle located on Newcastle Hill, Newcastle, overlooking the town centre of Bridgend in Glamorgan, South Wales. It was originally believed to date from 1106 when a ringwork was created at the site by the Norman baron Robert Fitzhamon. Some of the fine stonework survives, but today the castle is ruinous.

Merthyr Mawr is a village and community in Bridgend, Wales. The village is about 2+1⁄2 miles from the centre of Bridgend town. The population of the community at the 2011 census was 267. The community occupies the area west of the Ewenny River, between Bridgend and Porthcawl. It takes in the settlement of Tythegston and a stretch of coastal sand dunes known as Merthyr Mawr Warren. It is in the historic county of Glamorgan.

Glanrhyd Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in Pen-y-fai near Bridgend in Wales. It is managed by the Cwm Taf University Health Board.
