KFIS (104.1 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Scappoose, Oregon, and serving the Portland metropolitan area. It is owned by the Salem Media Group and airs a Contemporary Christian (CCM) radio format. As with other Salem CCM stations in cities such as Los Angeles and Atlanta, KFIS uses the branding "The Fish", a symbol was often used by the early Christian church.The studios and offices are on SE Lake Road in Southeast Portland off the Milwaukie Expressway. The transmitter is off SW Fairmount Court in Portland.

KKWA (96.3 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to West Linn, Oregon, and broadcasting to the Portland metropolitan area. KKWA airs a Contemporary Christian Music radio format branded as "WAY-FM". The transmitter is located off Southwest Fairmount Boulevard, amid other Portland-area FM and TV towers. KKWA broadcasts at only 1,350 watts while many Portland-area FM stations operate at 100,000 watts. Because the tower is 386 meters (1266 feet) height above average terrain, a bit less than the Empire State Building, the station's signal extends over Portland and its nearby suburbs in Oregon and Washington.

KPDQ-FM (93.9 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station in Portland, Oregon. It is owned by Salem Communications and serves the Portland metropolitan area, with a Christian talk and teaching radio format. The studios and offices are on SE Lake Road in Portland. KPDQ-FM is co-owned with KPDQ, also a Christian talk and teaching station. Each station runs its own schedule. Among the religious leaders heard on KPDQ-FM are Chuck Swindoll, Dr. David Jeremiah, Jim Daly, Dr. Tony Evans and John MacArthur. Hosts pay Salem Media for time on the station and may use their broadcasts to appeal for donations to their ministries. KPDQ-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 50,000 watts (52,000 with beam tilt). The main transmitter is atop Portland's west hills, off SW Fairmount Court. In addition, KPDQ-FM is heard on four FM translator stations, to improve reception in other Oregon communities.

KRYP is a commercial broadcast FM radio station located in the Portland, Oregon area and owned by the Salem Media Group. KRYP is a Spanish language station playing regional Mexican music (a mix of genres such as Banda, Ranchera, Mariachi, and Norteño).The Spring 2008 Arbitron ratings saw KRYP become the Portland metropolitan area market leader, marking the first time a Spanish language radio station achieved that milestone.

KBFF (95.5 MHz, "Live 95.5") is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Portland, Oregon, and serving the Portland metropolitan area, including parts of Oregon and Washington. The station airs a Top 40 (CHR) radio format and is owned by Alpha Media. It carries the syndicated morning drive time show "Brooke & Jeffrey" from KQMV in Seattle. KBFF's studios and offices are located in Downtown Portland, on SW Fifth Avenue. The transmitter is in Portland's West Hills, off SW Fairmount Court. KBFF has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts.

Homestead is a Southwest Portland, Oregon, United States, neighborhood in the city's West Hills. The neighborhood is home to Marquam Nature Park (SW Marquam St. & Sam Jackson Park Rd.), which offers urban hiking in the form of the Marquam Trail, which one can follow to Downtown. Scenic Terwilliger Boulevard also passes through the neighborhood. Though primarily residential, the northern portion of the neighborhood includes two regionally important medical complexes on Marquam Hill: the main campus of Oregon Health & Science University, and Portland Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Portland Aerial Tram connects these complexes to the South Waterfront district in the South Portland neighborhood on the Willamette River south of Downtown.

Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is a public research university focusing primarily on health sciences with a main campus, including two hospitals, in Portland, Oregon. The institution was founded in 1887 as the University of Oregon Medical Department and later became the University of Oregon Medical School. In 1974, the campus became an independent, self-governed institution called the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center, combining state dentistry, medicine, nursing, and public health programs into a single center. It was renamed Oregon Health Sciences University in 1981 and took its current name in 2001, as part of a merger with the Oregon Graduate Institute (OGI), in Hillsboro. The university has several partnership programs including a joint PharmD Pharmacy program with Oregon State University in Corvallis. The university's programs are highly ranked nationally, with the School of Medicine ranking in the top 10 for primary care and family medicine residency ranking #1 by U.S. News & World Report, as well as the ophthalmology residency under Casey Eye Institute ranking in the top 10 by Ophthalmology Times in 2020.

Healy Heights is a Portland, Oregon neighborhood in the West Hills of the city's Southwest section. Though recognized by the city as a neighborhood in its own right, it lies entirely within the boundaries of the city's Southwest Hills neighborhood. The neighborhood association holds its annual potluck dinner in Healy Heights Park (1951) on the second Sunday in September.

Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Portland VA) is a 160-bed, acute care medical facility in Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon. Opened in 1929, it is located on Marquam Hill adjacent to Oregon Health & Sciences University, and is connected to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital via a skybridge. The original hospital was replaced in the 1980s and had a capacity of up-to 478 beds.

The Marquam Manor is a historic residential building located at 3211 SW 10th Avenue in Southwest Portland, Oregon. It was constructed in 1930 by Elmer E. Feig and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 27, 1993.

Doernbecher Children's Hospital is an academic teaching children's hospital associated with Oregon Health & Science University located in Portland, Oregon. Established in 1926, it is the first full-service children's hospital in the Pacific Northwest, and provides full-spectrum pediatric care. Doernbecher Children's hospital is consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the United States' top pediatric hospitals in multiple medical specialties.

Marquam Hill is a populated hill located just south of Downtown Portland, Oregon, United States in the Homestead neighborhood. It is also called Pill Hill because it is home to Oregon Health & Science University, Portland VA Medical Center and Portland Shriners Hospital.Marquam Hill was named for Philip A. Marquam. It is classed by the United States Geological Survey as a populated place and not as a hill. It is part of the Tualatin Mountains, along with nearby Council Crest and Portland Heights.
