The Charles A. Daniels School is a historic school building on Daniels Street in Malden, Massachusetts. The Tudor Revival style brick building was constructed in 1907 to a design by Warren Hutchins. The building has a large central block that is three stories high, with a gabled roof, and flanking flat-roofed wings of two stories that project from the main facade. It has a particularly ornate limestone entrance portico.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. It now contains apartments.

Malden Catholic High School is a private, Catholic secondary school located in Malden, Massachusetts. The school was founded by the Congregation of the Brothers of St. Francis Xavier, an international congregation of religious brothers. It is a member of the Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools and the National Catholic Educational Association.

The Malden City Infirmary is a historic municipal facility at 341 Forest Street in Malden, Massachusetts. Established by the city in the 18th century as a poor farm, the surviving elements of the property include the 1870 Warden's House, and the 1933 infirmary, which continues to serve as an elderly care and nursing facility known as Forestdale Senior Living. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.

Pope John XXIII High School was a private, Roman Catholic high school in Everett, Massachusetts, in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. The school was established in 1965. It is an independent, coeducational, Catholic college preparatory school serving the metro Boston area. In 2016, Roncalli Prep, recognizing Pope John XXIII's name before taking John as his name ( Grade 8 ) was added to the student body. Roncalli Prep attracts Catholic students from the public school system seeking an advanced curriculum including STEM science, honors algebra, honors Spanish and the humanities. Due to financial difficulties brought on by default by the United School Association (president Phil Morgaman of Florida), the school closed on May 31, 2019.

The Marcia Browne Junior High School, also known as the Broadway School, is a historic school building at 295 Broadway in Malden, Massachusetts. The brick Colonial Revival two story building was constructed in 1905 to a design by Boston architect Edward I. Wilson, and expanded in 1925. The original portion of the building consists of a central rectangular block, which is flanked by matching wings which project slightly from the main (western) facade. The 1925 additions consist of a rear classroom ell and an auditorium/gymnasium addition connected to the north end of the main building by a hyphen. Originally known as the Broadway School, it was renamed in 1913 in honor of a well-liked principal. It served as a junior high school until the early 1990s, when it was closed.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. It is now home to an elderly assisted living facility.

Malden High School is a public high school in Malden, Massachusetts. Established in 1857, the school is part of the Malden Public Schools and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). A 2013 study conducted by the National Center for Education Statistics found that Malden High was the most diverse public high school in Massachusetts.

The Converse Memorial Library – also known as Converse Memorial Building – is a historically significant building designed by noted American architect H. H. Richardson. From 1885 to 1996, it housed the Malden Public Library, which now occupies a modern building adjacent to it. The former library is located at 36 Salem Street, Malden, Massachusetts. The building was a gift of Elisha S. and Mary D. Converse in memory of their murdered son, Frank Eugene Converse, who was the victim of the first bank robbery/murder in North America. It was constructed 1883-1885 in an overall L-shape, with a facade of brown Longmeadow sandstone, a tower rising from the L's inner corner, and a heavily arched entry porch set within the L's short arm. The main library room is 50 x 36 feet and finished in elaborately carved white oak with a high, vaulted ceiling. Its furniture was designed by Richardson and manufactured by the Boston firm of A. H. Davenport and Company.In 1896 two additions were made to the building, designed by Richardson's successor firm, Shepley, Rutan & Coolidge. One gable-roofed wing extends the building to the rear, along Park Street, following the same general lines of the existing structure. The other addition was a flat-roofed rectangular stack area also attached to the rear. An octagonal gallery space further extended the rear in 1916, designed by Newhall & Blevins.The Converse Memorial Building was the last of Richardson's library designs, and is generally considered among his finest works. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987.

The Odd Fellows Building is a historic commercial building in Malden, Massachusetts. The four story steel and masonry building was built in 1907 to a design by Louis C. Newhall for the local chapter of the International Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF). The building is faced in buff brick, and is predominantly Renaissance Revival in character. The first floor consists of storefronts, while the upper floors housed IOOF facilities, including a large meeting space. The upper levels are of particular architectural interest: the third level has groups of three arched windows separated by pillars, and the fourth has paired round-arch windows within recessed round-arch panels. The roof line is also ornate, with brackets and a dentil course.Architect Newhall, a Malden resident, was senior partner in the Boston architecture firm of Newhall & Blevins. Among other projects, this firm was also responsible for the design of the Boston City Club.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Pine Banks is a 107.5-acre (0.435 km2) park located in the cities of Malden and Melrose, Massachusetts. It was donated by former Mayor of Malden Elisha S. Converse to be used "forever as a public park". The agreement was that both towns had equal ownership, responsibility, and power, which is still the case today; the non–profit Board of Trustees owns the park, with equal representation from both cities. The area was once inhabited by the Massachusett Native American tribe. It was later the home of the Lynde family in the early 18th century, and then became the public park that it is today.
