National Centre for the Performing Arts (India)

The Experimental Theatre is a 300-seat theatre at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai, India. It was inaugurated in April 1986 as a black box theatre venue with modular seating and staging units.

On 19 March 1987, a group posing as Central Bureau of Investigation officers executed a fake raid on the Opera House branch of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri & Sons Jewellers in Bombay (present-day Mumbai), Maharashtra, India. The raid was led by an unknown man who had assembled the group by inviting the candidates for fake recruitment interview. The unknown man disappeared with the spoils of the raid. The case has remained unsolved.

The Tata Theatre is a 1010-seat premier staging facility for music, dance and drama at The National Centre for the Performing Arts complex in the city of Mumbai, India. It is India’s first theatre designed and built keeping in mind the unique acoustic and visual requirements for the staging of Indian music, dance and related art forms, and was constructed by Larsen & Toubro Limited. The theatre was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi on the 11 of October 1980.Keeping in mind the traditional seating requirements at Indian classical musical concerts and performances, the Tata Theatre stage is built in the almost semi-circular thrust shape. The alternate concave and convex triangular forms on the overhead and the wall panelings ensure even distribution of acoustics over the entire auditorium. The acoustic forms of high-density compressed plaster were handmade and lifted manually up into their positions. The architects ensured that every musical instrument played in the orchestra could individually be heard and appreciated in every corner of the auditorium. The external structure of the Tata Theatre complex has been acoustically insulated from outside interference such as road traffic and sounds from construction and maintenance activities by separate pile foundations down to the rock base. Famous artistes who have performed at the Tata Theatre over the years include Yehudi Menuhin, Ustad Vilayat Khan and M S Subbalaxmi. The Tata Theatre has also been utilized for special cultural programmes for India’s state guests and visiting dignitaries. Its spacious foyers are also used for special exhibitions.

The Trident Nariman Point is a luxury hotel on Marine Drive in Nariman Point, Mumbai, India. It is owned and operated by the Trident Hotels division of The Oberoi Group. It have 35 floors, on completion in 1973, it was the tallest building in South Asia, surpassing the 105 metres (344 ft) Express Towers, located next door. It stayed the tallest building in South Asia until 1980, when Phiroze Jeejeebhoy Towers were completed.

Nariman Point is a prominent downtown area of Mumbai in Maharashtra, India. Located on the southern tip of the Mumbai peninsula, at the end of the Mumbai's Marine Drive, Nariman Point houses some of India's prestigious business headquarters. It is bordered by Churchgate in North, Arabian Sea on West and South, by Colaba on East side. It is one of the tourist attractions of Mumbai due to its skyline, Arabian sea view, Marine drive and lots of luxury 5 star hotels, restaurants.

The Express Towers is a 25-storey building located on Marine Drive in Nariman Point, Mumbai. Upon its completion in 1972, the 105 metres (344 ft) building was the tallest building in South Asia for about two years. The building serves as the corporate headquarters of Indian Express Limited, which also owns the building. On 19 November 2013, Blackstone Group along with Pune-based Panchshil Realty reached a deal to buy the iconic South Mumbai building for Rupees 900 crore (US$144 million).

Churchgate (Marathi pronunciation: [t͡ʃəɾt͡ʃɡeːʈ]) is an area in South Mumbai. During the eighteenth and up to the mid-19th century, Mumbai was a walled city. The city walls had three gates, and Churchgate, named after St. Thomas Cathedral, Mumbai was one of the gates. The gate was situated near the present day location of Flora Fountain. In the mid-19th century, the city walls were torn down to aid in the expansion program.Arabian Sea is situated at west and Nariman Point on south of Churchgate. Churchgate railway station is a major railway terminus on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway.

The Air India Building is a 23-storey commercial tower in Mumbai, India. The building served as the corporate headquarters for the Indian national airline, Air India, up to 2013. There are at least 10,800 square feet (1,000 m2) of space on each floor of the building. In February 2013, Air India officially vacated the building as part of its asset-monetisation plan, and shifted its corporate office to New Delhi. The Indian Airlines House was chosen as the airline's new headquarters. However, the airline still retains the 21st, 22nd and 23rd floors in the building.

Hassaram Rijhumal College of Commerce and Economics, commonly known as HR College, is an autonomous (since 2007) educational institute located in Churchgate, Mumbai. It is run by the Hyderabad (Sindh) National Collegiate Board and is affiliated to the HSNC University. It was the second college in Maharashtra (after KC College, Churchgate) to be accredited 'A' grade with a score of 87.95% by the NAAC (National Assessment & Accreditation Council) under the revised scheme in 2002. It is located adjacent to Kishinchand Chellaram College and shares a building with the KC Law College.

Badhwar Park is the residential complex of the Indian Central Railway and Western Railway officers. It is located at Wodehouse Road in Cuffe Parade. The colony is situated along the coastline. The complex has been aptly named after Shri Fateh Chand Badhwar, the first Indian chairman of the Indian Railway Board. Shri Omprakash Rai is the IOW of Badhwar Park. In the past, after its inception in 1925, all chairmen of the Railway Board had been Britons. The beautiful, lush green complex has a club with sports facilities (two lawn tennis courts, two badminton courts, gymnasium, swimming pool, billiards and pool), library etc. The club has coaching facilities for many sports and martial arts. Badhwar Park can be reached from Churchgate or Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) railway station by catching bus no 138 starting from CST (via Churchgate).

Kishinchand Chellaram Law College, popularly known as KC Law College, is a law institution located at Churchgate, Mumbai. The institution was established in 1955 by Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board (HSNC Board). It is affiliated with the University of Mumbai.The college is located in the same campus as Kishinchand Chellaram College and the H.R. College of Commerce and Economics.
