Immaculata Regional High School is a Roman Catholic high school situated in Kelowna, B.C., Canada. It was under the direction of the Kelowna Catholic Independent School Council. The school is co-educational, offering academic, fine arts, a heavy focus on science programs, as well as strong athletic, performing arts, and other extracurricular programs, for students from grades 8 to 12. The school participates in sporting events under the name of the "Mustangs", with the team colours of green and gold.

Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) is a tertiary referral hospital located in Kelowna, British Columbia operated by Interior Health that offers medical care in the Central Okanagan. In British Columbia, Kelowna General is the only hospital outside the Lower Mainland or Vancouver Island that performs angioplasty or cardiac surgery.

Father Pandosy Mission, also known as the Okanagan Mission, was the original home for Father Pandosy in Kelowna, British Columbia. He moved to Kelowna in 1859 and started the first settlement of Europeans in that region. The Pandosy Mission has been restored as a museum. It is owned by the Catholic Church and is jointly administered by the Okanagan Historical Society. The area of the mission has been known as Okanagan Mission since, and is a neighbourhood of modern Kelowna.

Mission Creek is a large creek in the Okanagan Region of British Columbia. Originally called N'wha-kwi-sen (smoothing stones), it was later mapped as Rivière de l’Anse-au-Sable (Sandy Bay River), the name Mission Creek was adopted in 1860 in honour of the Catholic Oblate Mission established by Father Pandosy and other settlers. The Creek rises in the Greystoke Mountain Range and runs west about 43 kilometres (27 mi) before emptying into Okanagan Lake south of Kelowna. Its watershed covers about 200,000 square kilometres (49,000,000 acres). Mission Creek was designated a BC Heritage River by the province in 1996.

CKFR is a radio station in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Broadcasting at 1150 AM, the station airs news/talk and sports formats, and identifies on air as AM 1150 News, Talk, Sports. It is owned by Bell Media. Current on-air talent include Phil Johnson, who hosts the AM 1150 Early Edition from 6-9am Monday to Friday. Throughout the day, Mike English, Regan Bartel, Calvin Hector read the news during the midday and afternoon newscasts. Regan Bartel, who started with CKFR in the fall of 2000, has been calling the play-by-play of the Kelowna Rockets on the radio station for 20 years. Syndicated programming includes Evan Solomon, Mike Smyth Show, and various CFRB programming. Other than in mandated hourly pre-recorded station identifications and the title of the morning show, the callsign CKFR is not mentioned on air or in station branding and promos. The callsign was randomly assigned to replace the former CKBL callsign when the station switched from 1150 AM The Bullet's country format to Oldies 1150's oldies format in 2004.

École de l'Anse-au-sable is a French-language elementary and secondary school located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. The name L'Anse-au-sable translates to sandy cove in English. In 2005, the BC Ministry of Education provided $3.2 million to the Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique to help offset the costs associated with the purchase of the former Central Okanagan Academy. The move to the larger facilities allowed École de l'Anse-an-sable to accept 100 additional students and expand the school to grade 12. École de l'Anse au sable provides Apple MacBook for grades 7 and up. On May 30, 2008, four grade 12 students graduated from the school. They were the first ever students to graduate from the school.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is a regional district in the Canadian province of British Columbia, representing two unincorporated Electoral Areas of Central Okanagan East and Central Okanagan West, along with the member municipalities of the City of Kelowna, City of West Kelowna the District of Lake Country, the District of Peachland and Westbank First Nation. The RDCO office is located in Kelowna. Statistics Canada defines the Kelowna CMA (Census Metropolitan Area) or Kelowna Metropolitan Area as being identical in area with the RDCO. The population in 2016 was 194,882, an increase from the official Canada 2006 Census total of 162,276 (these figures exclude the population of reserves belonging to the Westbank First Nation). The area is 2,904.86 square kilometres.

The Kelowna Memorial Arena is an ice hockey arena located in Kelowna, British Columbia. It was built in 1945 and has a capacity of 2,600. It is notable for its small ice surface of 180' X 80'. It once hosted the Western Hockey League's Kelowna Wings and the Kelowna Rockets before they moved into the new Prospera Place. The arena also hosted the Kelowna Spartans of the BCJHL, who won the Centennial Cup in 1993. The old arena still stands and is used for Kelowna Minor Hockey, and the Okanagan College Hockey League. Built with the memorial fund given to the city due to World War II, there is a war museum connected to the arena. The "Memorial Arena" is the centre of Downtown Kelowna, right beside Okanagan Lake.

Stuart Park is a park located near Okanagan Lake in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. In winter, part of the park is turned into an ice rink for public skating. In 2015, the Canadian Institute of Planners named it the greatest public space in Canada.What do I need to do before skating at Stuart Park? The rink is open for drop-in use. No reservations are needed to skate in the park. It is recommended to check the live cam before heading down to the rink. Rentals for skates and bars are available on-site. For added COVID-19 Safety, please bring your own protective gear such as helmets, hand sanitizer, and face coverings. Rentals are open from 11 am to 8 pm daily, depending on the weather. If the temperature is below -10 degrees celsius, the rental shop will be closed.

Center of Gravity Festival is an annual three-day sport and music festival held in Kelowna, British Columbia, at the City Park on the Okanagan Lake and hosts approximately 25,000 people.
