Stuart Park is a park located near Okanagan Lake in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. In winter, part of the park is turned into an ice rink for public skating. In 2015, the Canadian Institute of Planners named it the greatest public space in Canada.What do I need to do before skating at Stuart Park? The rink is open for drop-in use. No reservations are needed to skate in the park. It is recommended to check the live cam before heading down to the rink. Rentals for skates and bars are available on-site. For added COVID-19 Safety, please bring your own protective gear such as helmets, hand sanitizer, and face coverings. Rentals are open from 11 am to 8 pm daily, depending on the weather. If the temperature is below -10 degrees celsius, the rental shop will be closed.

Kelowna ( (listen) kə-LOH-nə) is a city on Okanagan Lake in the Okanagan Valley in the southern interior of British Columbia, Canada. It serves as the head office of the Regional District of Central Okanagan. CKFR is a radio station in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Broadcasting at 1150 AM, the station airs news/talk and sports formats, and identifies on air as AM 1150 News, Talk, Sports. It is owned by Bell Media. Current on-air talent include Phil Johnson, who hosts the AM 1150 Early Edition from 6-9am Monday to Friday. Throughout the day, Mike English, Regan Bartel, Calvin Hector read the news during the midday and afternoon newscasts. The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is a regional district in the Canadian province of British Columbia, representing two unincorporated Electoral Areas of Central Okanagan East and Central Okanagan West, along with the member municipalities of the City of Kelowna, City of West Kelowna the District of Lake Country, the District of Peachland and Westbank First Nation. The RDCO office is located in Kelowna. Statistics Canada defines the Kelowna CMA (Census Metropolitan Area) or Kelowna Metropolitan Area as being identical in area with the RDCO. The population in 2016 was 194,882, an increase from the official Canada 2006 Census total of 162,276 (these figures exclude the population of reserves belonging to the Westbank First Nation). The area is 2,904.86 square kilometres.

The Kelowna Community Theatre is an 853-seat Theatre in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. It is the home of the Kelowna Community Concert Society it is also the home of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra and has been since it opened.

The Kelowna Memorial Arena is an ice hockey arena located in Kelowna, British Columbia. It was built in 1945 and has a capacity of 2,600. It is notable for its small ice surface of 180' X 80'. It once hosted the Western Hockey League's Kelowna Wings and the Kelowna Rockets before they moved into the new Prospera Place. The arena also hosted the Kelowna Spartans of the BCJHL, who won the Centennial Cup in 1993. The old arena still stands and is used for Kelowna Minor Hockey, and the Okanagan College Hockey League. Built with the memorial fund given to the city due to World War II, there is a war museum connected to the arena. The "Memorial Arena" is the centre of Downtown Kelowna, right beside Okanagan Lake.

The Okanagan Lake Bridge (also known as the Kelowna Floating Bridge) was a three-lane, 650-metre (2,133-foot) long floating bridge in British Columbia, Canada. It crossed Okanagan Lake, connecting the Westside area to Kelowna on the lake's eastern side. Taller boats such as sailboats were able to pass under the lift span which was located at the east end of the bridge.

The William R. Bennett Bridge is a pontoon bridge in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. Completed on May 25, 2008, the bridge replaced the older Okanagan Lake Bridge built in 1958 to link Downtown Kelowna to West Kelowna across Okanagan Lake as part of Highway 97. On April 21, 2005, Premier Gordon Campbell officially renamed the bridge from the Okanagan Lake Bridge to William R. Bennett Bridge in honour of former Premier William Richards Bennett, a native of Kelowna.

Prospera Place, formerly known as Skyreach Place, is a 6,886-seat multi-purpose arena, in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. It replaced Kelowna Memorial Arena, which is still in use for minor hockey Opened in 1999, it is home to the Kelowna Rockets hockey club. The arena hosted the Memorial Cup in 2004. It was supposed to host it again in 2020, but the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Prospera Place was selected to host the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier, the Canadian men's national curling championship, but due to COVID-19 restrictions the Brier took place in Calgary instead.The arena hosted Skate Canada International in 2014 and again in October 2019.Prospera Place has hosted concerts by many famous artists, spanning many different genres. WWE SmackDown! episodes were hosted and taped at the arena in 2003 and 2004. The So You Think You Can Dance Canada Tour came to the arena in 2009 and 2010. A multi-story parking garage is situated nearby, as well as a private parking lot made available by the arena for guests who have purchased a parking pass. Prospera Credit Union obtained naming rights to the arena in 2003, rights it will keep until at least January 2024.

In British Columbia, Kelowna General is the only hospital outside the Lower Mainland or Vancouver Island that performs angioplasty or cardiac surgery.

Okanagan Lake (Okanagan: kɬúsx̌nítkw) is a lake in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. The lake is 135 km (84 mi) long, between 4 and 5 km (2.5 and 3.1 mi) wide, and has a surface area of 348 km2 (135 sq. mi.).

Okanagan College is a public, post-secondary institution with over 120 certificates, diplomas, degrees and programs including apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship trades programs. Its largest campus is located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Established in 1963, Okanagan College has since grown to be the largest college in British Columbia outside the Lower Mainland and Victoria with over 8,500 full-time students on four regional campuses and is the second-largest trade school in British Columbia. Approximately 1,000 international students from over 40 countries currently study at Okanagan College. The College also has one of the fastest growing populations of Aboriginal students of any college in the province; in the 2015-16 academic year Okanagan College delivered educational programming to 1680 Aboriginal students (more than three times the number that attended in 2005-06).
