Miflin, Alabama

Swift Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church on Swift Church Road in Miflin, Alabama. It was built in 1905 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.The church began construction in 1905 with materials donated by local lumber merchant and eventual church elder C.A. Swift. The building completed construction in 1907 and the congregation was formally organized in 1910. The church was named in Swift’s honor in 1924.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod in Elberta, Alabama established in 1908. It is noted for its historic church on the east side CR 83, which was built in 1927 and added to National Register of Historic Places in 1988.The congregation was formed in 1908 by Reverend W. C. Kohn of Chicago, and originally held services in German, as the original settlers of Elberta were German immigrants. German language services in the church continued until 1977. The congregation was headed by Reverend Keith Ringers as of 1988.

Bamahenge is a full-scale fiberglass replica of England's prehistoric Stonehenge monument, located on the grounds of Barber Marina near Josephine, Alabama. It was designed and built by artist Mark Cline, at the request of marina owner George W. Barber.

Foley High School has its own American football, archery, cross-country, baseball, cheerleading, women's/men's soccer, softball, and women's/men's basketball teams. Along with this, there are also men's/women's track, men's/women's golf, men's/women's tennis, men's/women's wrestling , men's swim team, and volleyball teams. The school is well known for its marching and concert band, "The Mighty Band from Lion Land," which has won a Grammy. The band has been winning superior ratings at competitions in the United States since the 1970s and has performed at the Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Chicago, the Daytona 500 race, the Fiesta Bowl parade, and many more places over its long history.

The Foley Downtown Historic District, in Foley, Alabama, is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. Its boundaries originally encompassed parts of Alston St., North and South McKenzie St., U.S. Route 98, East and West Laurel Ave., Myrtle Ave., Rose Ave., and West Orange Ave. until a boundary decrease on June 4, 2012. The boundary was extended in 2019.

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo opened in June 1989 in Gulf Shores, Alabama, United States as Zooland Animal Park. It is operated by the Zoo Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and relies on admissions, memberships and contributions for its funding. It was the basis of the Animal Planet show The Little Zoo That Could. The zoo sits on approximately 25 acres and lies about two miles north of the Intracoastal Waterway and is home to more than 300 animals including Barbary lions, leopards, tigers, wolves, bears, monkeys, and macaws. It includes a petting zoo, reptile house, and aviary, as well as daily animal shows in the summer. The zoo opened its new location in early 2020.

The Orange Beach Sportsplex is a sports complex in Orange Beach, Alabama that was built in 2001. The focus of the complex is the 1,500-seat stadium. The stadium has hosted the SEC Women's Soccer Tournament and has completed negotiations to host the tournament through 2020. The facility also hosts the NCAA Division II men's and women's soccer tournaments. Currently the stadium hosts the Alabama Lightning of the North American Football League. Aside from the stadium, the sportsplex is home to baseball, softball, and youth sports leagues. The city of Orange Beach has announced plans to upgrade lighting on the championship field as part of the tournament contract.
