Foley High School

Foley is a city in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. The 2010 census lists the population of the city as 14,618. Foley is a principal city of the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley metropolitan area, which includes all of Baldwin County.

The Foley Downtown Historic District, in Foley, Alabama, is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. Its boundaries originally encompassed parts of Alston St., North and South McKenzie St., U.S. Route 98, East and West Laurel Ave., Myrtle Ave., Rose Ave., and West Orange Ave. until a boundary decrease on June 4, 2012. The boundary was extended in 2019.

Foley Municipal Airport (FAA LID: 5R4) is a city-owned public-use airport located three nautical miles (4 mi, 6 km) northwest of the central business district of Foley, a city in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States.This airport is included in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 and 2009–2013, both of which categorized it as a general aviation facility. Foley Municipal Airport was opened to the public on February, 1967 replacing the earlier airport to the east of town near the present location of Barin NOLF.

Swift Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church on Swift Church Road in Miflin, Alabama. It was built in 1905 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.The church began construction in 1905 with materials donated by local lumber merchant and eventual church elder C.A. Swift. The building completed construction in 1907 and the congregation was formally organized in 1910. The church was named in Swift’s honor in 1924.

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo opened in June 1989 in Gulf Shores, Alabama, United States as Zooland Animal Park. It is operated by the Zoo Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and relies on admissions, memberships and contributions for its funding. It was the basis of the Animal Planet show The Little Zoo That Could. The zoo sits on approximately 25 acres and lies about two miles north of the Intracoastal Waterway and is home to more than 300 animals including Barbary lions, leopards, tigers, wolves, bears, monkeys, and macaws. It includes a petting zoo, reptile house, and aviary, as well as daily animal shows in the summer. The zoo opened its new location in early 2020.

Bon Secour is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. It lies along the eastern coastline of Bon Secour Bay (a contiguous bay that sits along the eastern edge of Mobile Bay). Bon Secour is over 35 miles (56 km) due east of the Alabama–Mississippi state line, near Gulf Shores, and over 45 miles (72 km) west of Pensacola, Florida. The name "Bon Secour" derives from the French phrase meaning "safe harbor" due to the secluded location on the inside coast of the Fort Morgan peninsula of southern Alabama.Bon Secour lies on the Bon Secour River. Elevation is 10 feet (3.0 m) above sea level. The estuarial river system empties into Bon Secour Bay at Mobile Bay.It is part of the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley metropolitan area. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 Census. Bon Secour is sometimes mentioned in hurricane report statistics, for the region, since Bon Secour is the easternmost town inside the coastline of Mobile Bay when entering the bay from the south, indicating weather and tide conditions for the population at the southeast end of Mobile Bay, nearest the entrance to the Gulf of Mexico. By contrast, Mobile, Alabama is located near the (diagonally opposite) north end of Mobile Bay, much farther from the Gulf tide and hurricane storm surges.

Miflin is an unincorporated community in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. Miflin is located along County Route 20 (Miflin Road) 5 miles (8.0 km) east-southeast of Foley. The Swift Presbyterian Church, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located in Miflin. A post office operated under the name Miflin from 1907 to 1951. The community is likely named after the Miflin family, who owned land in the area.

Pelican Place at Craft Farms is a 372,000-square-foot (34,600 m2) lifestyle center in Gulf Shores, Alabama. It is planned to expand to 650,000 square feet (60,000 m2). It was designed by CMH Architects of Birmingham, the firm that also designed the Eastern Shore Centre in nearby Spanish Fort. It was developed by Colonial Properties as part of their "Pinnacle" brand of lifestyle centers and was originally known as the Pinnacle at Craft Farms. In September 2015, Langley Properties, the development's most recent management company, sold Pelican Place to RCG Ventures of Atlanta, Georgia, for more than $18 million.Pelican Place has three anchors. These include a 60,000-square-foot (5,600 m2) fourteen screen Cobb Theatres multiplex, a 15,676-square-foot (1,456.3 m2) Books A Million, and 25,344-square-foot (2,354.5 m2) Bed Bath & Beyond. A 90-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel, and a 45,000-square-foot (4,200 m2) Publix supermarket are immediately south of Pelican Place. The main in-line tenant buildings of the shopping center are oriented along a linear street-scape, which is then intersected to the east by a pedestrian oriented restaurant plaza and splash fountain. Pelican Place was developed as a retail and entertainment component of the Craft Farms golf community, from which it is separated via a landscaped man-made retention pond. It is the primary retail component of the 150-acre (61 ha) master-planned community.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, also known as St. Paul's Episcopal Chapel, is an historic Carpenter Gothic church located at 14755 Oak Avenue, in Magnolia Springs, Alabama. On September 25, 1988, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Land was donated for the church in the 1890s after devout residents held services in their homes and invited preachers from nearby towns. However, the construction lagged due to insufficient funds before construction began in 1901 and the church was consecrated by Bishop Robert Woodward Barnwell in 1902. The church was nearly destroyed by a hurricane in 1916 and was the only church in Magnolia Springs for nearly fifty years.It is also included in the Magnolia Springs Historic District, as a contributing building.

The Governor's Club, located at 11866 Magnolia St. in Magnolia Springs, Alabama, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. It is of "Coastal Cottage" architecture.It stands on property assembled by Chicago businessman Frank Brunell during 1901 to 1908. It has also sometimes been known as "Brunell House," but there is a different house of that name, also NRHP-listed, also in Magnolia Springs, on Jessamine St. In 2015, the house was valued at $4.79 million.Along with Sunnyside Hotel, Governor's Club is one of two resort hotels from the 1920s era of resorts and vacations in the area. "With its spacious wrap-around porch enhanced by turned posts and balusters, floor to ceiling windows, and great interior details, the Governor’s Club stands as an important architectural survivor of Baldwin County’s early 20th century resort years."It is also included in the Magnolia Springs Historic District, as a contributing building.
