San Luis Obispo High School, also referred to as "San Luis High" and "SLO High", is an American public high school in San Luis Obispo, California. It is the only non-continuation public high school within the city. The school is within the San Luis Coastal Unified School District (SLCUSD), serving primarily students living in San Luis Obispo. Before the school's addition of ninth grade in 1982, the school was known as "San Luis Obispo Senior High School" (SLOSH). School colors are black and gold.

The Motel Inn (originally known as the Milestone Mo-Tel), located in San Luis Obispo, California, was the first motel in the world. It opened on December 12, 1925, and closed in 1991. The building is now the administrative building of the Apple Farm Inn hotel next door.

The Dallidet Adobe and Gardens is a California Historical Landmark (#720) in San Luis Obispo, California. The site was originally the property of Pierre Hypolite Dallidet, who came to San Francisco in search of gold in 1850.His son, Paul Dallidet, transferred it to the San Luis Obispo County Historical Society in 1953, in his family's memory.

The Kundert Medical Clinic is a building in San Luis Obispo, California, United States, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and was completed in 1956. It is notable for being one of the few commercial buildings designed by Wright. Dr. Karl Kundert and his tenant, Dr. Fogo, were both ophthalmologists from Wisconsin and were familiar with Wright's work. (Storrer, 425) The construction of the building was supervised by Wright protégé, Aaron Green. This building is now occupied by cardiologist Kenneth Tway, MD.

The Fremont Theater is a historic movie theater in San Luis Obispo, California in the United States of America. It is among the last Streamline Moderne theaters built by architect S. Charles Lee. It opened in 1942 on the eve of U.S. entry to World War II. Throughout its early years it served both as a moving pictures theater and a live theater. It hosted war bond shows in early years and later hosted such attractions as Adam Ant and Yes.In the late 20th century, developers wanted to raze the building to install a new multiplex, but public outcry saved the theater. The company built its multiplex next door, capitalizing off the historic structure while also supporting it financially with the additional screens.The theater is now one of the main locations for the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival.

The Myron Angel House is a historic house located at 714 Buchon St. in San Luis Obispo, California. Built circa 1880, the house has a vernacular design which does not follow a particular architectural style. The two-story wood-frame house has redwood siding, a shingled gable roof, and some Eastlake details in the window surrounds and gable ends. The house was once the home of Myron Angel, the main figure in the establishment of California Polytechnic State University. Angel, who lived in the house from 1889 to his 1911 death, proposed and lobbied for the creation of a polytechnic school in California; it was mainly due to his campaign that Cal Poly was founded in San Luis Obispo. In addition to his educational activism, Angel was also an influential journalist and historian.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 22, 1982.

The San Luis Obispo Carnegie Library is a Carnegie library located at 696 Monterey St. in San Luis Obispo, California. The library building was funded by the Carnegie foundation in 1903 and built in 1905; it housed the city's subscription library program, which had operated since 1894. William H. Weeks, who designed 21 Carnegie libraries in California, designed the San Luis Obispo library in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The library's design includes a tall hipped roof with two gabled wings, decorations including gargoyles in the gable ends, and an entrance portico with multiple round arches. The building is mainly faced in red brick with yellow sandstone trim, but the basement is faced in dark gray granite. The library operated until 1955 and became a county historical museum the following year.The library building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 30, 1995.
