Broadmoor is a neighborhood of the city of New Orleans. A subdistrict of the Uptown/Carrollton Area, its boundaries as defined by the New Orleans City Planning Commission are: Eve Street to the north, Washington Avenue and Toledano Street to the east, South Claiborne Avenue to the south, and Jefferson Avenue, South Rocheblave Street, Nashville Avenue, and Octavia Street to the west. It includes the Broadmoor Historic District which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003 and increased in its boundaries in 2007.

The New Orleans Zen Temple is a dojo of the Soto Zen tradition in New Orleans, Louisiana. Robert Livingston Roshi was the abbot until his retirement in 2016, and Richard Collins is the current abbot. Livingston, a close disciple of Taisen Deshimaru, founded the temple in 1984. Before his death in 1982, Deshimaru asked Livingston to go to the United States to open a Zen dojo and teach true Zen practice in the United States. The temple is also the home of the American Zen Association, which gives support to zen dojos and publishes rare Buddhist texts.

The Bohn Motor Company Automobile Dealership, at 2700 S Broad in New Orleans, Louisiana, was built in 1925 and was expanded during 1944 to 1951. It was designed by architect Emile Weil (1878-1945). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.The first story of the building included two automobile showrooms.

The Blue Plate Building, is a building in the Gert Town section of New Orleans, Louisiana, at 1315 S. Norman C. Francis Parkway at the corner of Earhart Boulevard. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 16, 2008. Its NRIS reference number is 08000989.Erected in 1941 in the Streamline Moderne style, it was originally a mayonnaise factory. It was designed by architect August Perez Jr in the Streamline Moderne style, a close cousin of Art Deco known for its curving forms, long horizontal lines and "streamlined" appearance. In 2012 it was redeveloped by HRI Properties into 72 loft-style apartments with a designed leasing preference for artists, and was renamed "Blue Plate Artists Lofts."

First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans is the oldest Presbyterian congregation in Louisiana (1818) and the second oldest Protestant congregation in the entire Mississippi Basin after Christ Church of New Orleans (1816). First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans (FPCNO) has played a pivotal role in the history of the Protestant church in the South as well as the history of New Orleans in the late 19th century, especially under the political and religious leadership of Rev. Dr. Benjamin Morgan Palmer who encouraged the Southern Presbyterian Church to secede at the beginning of the American Civil War, an action which was quickly imitated by most of the other Protestant denominations in the Confederate States of America. However, in the 21st century, FPCNO is now more widely known for its progressive stands on race, social justice and gender issues.

Fontainebleau and Marlyville are jointly designated as a neighborhood of the city of New Orleans. A subdistrict of the Uptown/Carrollton Area, its boundaries as defined by the New Orleans City Planning Commission are: Colapissa and Broadway Streets and MLK Boulevard to the north, Norman C. Francis Parkway, Octavia Street, Fontainebleau Drive, Nashville Avenue, South Rocheblave, Robert and South Tonti Street and Jefferson Avenue to the east, South Claiborne Avenue, Lowerline and Spruce Streets to the south and South Carrollton Avenue to the west.

Eleanor Laura McMain Secondary School is a charter secondary school in Uptown New Orleans, Louisiana. It is operated by the Inspire Charter Network.

Ochsner Baptist Medical Center is a hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. The complex of hospital buildings is located on Napoleon Avenue in Uptown New Orleans.

The Calliope Projects, also known as B. W. Cooper Public Housing Development, was a neighborhood of the city of New Orleans and one of the housing projects of New Orleans. This project of New Orleans gained notoriety for its extremely high violent crime rate. It was demolished in 2014 and replaced with newer, mixed-income apartment buildings.

Gert Town is a neighborhood in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. It is the home to Xavier University of Louisiana and is near Mid-City. Gert Town played a major role in the industrial development of the New Orleans region. The Blue Plate Mayonnaise Factory, Coca-Cola Bottling Plant, Sealtest Dairy, and Thompson-Hayward Chemical Company were all fundamental manufacturing bases of the working-class neighborhood. Gert Town was also well known for being a center of development for jazz and other music genres. Musicians such as Buddy Bolden, John Robichaux, Merry Clayton, Bunk Johnson and Allen Toussaint all came from the neighborhood and helped shape the musical influence of New Orleans.In 2016, Gert Town was named one of New Orleans fastest-growing areas.

Freret is a neighborhood of the city of New Orleans. The Freret neighborhood contains a thriving commercial corridor. A subdistrict of the Uptown/Carrollton Area, its boundaries as defined by the New Orleans City Planning Commission are: South Claiborne Avenue to the north, Napoleon Avenue to the east, LaSalle Street to the south and Jefferson Avenue to the west."Freret" is for Freret Street, which was named for William Freret, a mid-19th-century New Orleans mayor.

Greer Field at Turchin Stadium is a baseball stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is the on-campus home the Tulane University Green Wave college baseball team. From 1893 to 1989, Tulane's home ballpark was Tulane Diamond, which was located about 100 feet (30 m) south of Turchin Stadium's current location.
