The Discovery Cube Orange County, formerly known as the Discovery Science Center and the Taco Bell Discovery Science Center, is a science museum in Santa Ana, California, with more than 100 hands-on science exhibits designed to spark children's natural curiosity. Designed by the architect firm Arquitectonica with structural engineers Carl Johnson and Svend Nielsen, it has become a visual landmark due to its ten-story solar array cube that stands over Interstate 5.

The Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD), one of four community college districts located in Orange County, California, offers associate degrees and adult education certificates through its two colleges: Santa Ana College in Santa Ana and Santiago Canyon College in Orange. The RSCCD serves central and eastern Orange County, covering 24% of the county's total area (193 square miles) in the cities of Orange and Villa Park, as well as the community of Anaheim Hills and portions of the cities of Garden Grove, Irvine, Santa Ana, and Tustin. The RSCCD is governed by a Board of Trustees that is composed of seven trustees elected by the registered voters within the district's boundaries and one student member elected by the student body of Santa Ana College and Santiagao Canyon College. Trustees, with the exception of the student member, are elected to four-year terms commencing in December of the year elected. As terms are staggered, elections are held every two years in connection with the general election. The seven locally elected trustees must reside in three specific areas but are elected at-large. The current trustees and the areas that they were elected from are as follows: For 2020, Trustee Claudia C. Alvarez is serving as the Board President, Trustee Nelida Mendoza as the Board Vice President, and Trustee Phillip Yarbrough as the Board Clerk.

Trinity Law School is the law school of Trinity International University, an evangelical Christian university in Bannockburn, Illinois. Although it is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (as part of Trinity International University) and approved by the State Bar of California, it is not accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA). The school offers a Juris Doctor (J.D.) program on campus or online, an online Master of Legal Studies (MLS) program, and a joint B.A./J.D. degree program with California Baptist University.

The Bowers Museum is an art museum located in Santa Ana, California. The museum's permanent collection includes more than 100,000 objects, and features notable strengths in the areas of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, Native American art, the art of Asia, Africa, and Oceania, and California plein-air painting. The Bowers organizes and hosts special exhibitions from institutions throughout the world, and travels exhibitions nationally and internationally. The museum has a second campus two blocks south of the main site, Kidseum, a children's museum with a focus on art and archaeology. The Bowers Museum and Kidseum are located in Santa Ana 6.4 km (four miles) south of Disneyland.

MainPlace Mall (formerly known as Westfield MainPlace) is a shopping mall at the north edge of Santa Ana, California, adjacent to the City of Orange and the Orange Crush interchange of the Santa Ana, Garden Grove and Orange freeways. The anchor stores are JCPenney, 24 Hour Fitness, Ashley HomeStore, Round 1 Entertainment, DXL Mens Apparel, and Macy's. There is 1 vacant anchor store that was once Nordstrom.

Holy Family Catholic Church, located in Orange, California, United States, is a parish church in the Diocese of Orange. It served as the cathedral of that diocese, from the diocese's establishment in 1976, until Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, the former Crystal Cathedral, was dedicated on July 17, 2019. Because of this, Holy Family Cathedral changed its name to Holy Family Catholic Church. Holy Family Parish predates the establishment of the Diocese of Orange.

The Santa Ana Water Tower is a historic water tower in Santa Ana, California. A recognizable symbol of the city, it is a common sight for people passing through on the I-5. The water tower is on the Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties List, number 253. It is designated as a "Landmark." It is frequently scaled illegally. The tower is also featured on the crest of the football club Santa Ana Winds FC.

Children's Health of Orange County or CHOC is a pediatric healthcare system based in Orange County, California, is committed to being a leading destination for children’s health by providing exceptional and innovative care. Its flagship hospital, known by its acronym CHOC Hospital, is a pediatric acute care hospital located in Orange, California. The hospital has 334 beds and is affiliated with the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to pediatric patients aged 0–21 throughout Orange County and the Southern California area. CHOC Hospital also features a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, the only of such in Orange County. The regional pediatric healthcare network includes a 334-bed main hospital facility in the City of Orange, and a hospital-within-a-hospital in Mission Viejo. CHOC also offers many primary and specialty care clinics, over 100 additional programs and services, and a pediatric residency program.

California Coast University (CCU) is a private for-profit online university based in Santa Ana, California. It is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission and approved by the State of California. Approximately 8,000 students are enrolled at any given time.

KALI-FM (106.3 FM) is a Vietnamese language radio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to serve the community of Santa Ana, California, United States. KALI airs musical and entertainment shows. This station directly competes with KVNR 1480 AM, which also airs Vietnamese-language programming.

Santa Ana Fire Station Headquarters No. 1, at 1322 N. Sycamore St. in Santa Ana, California, is a fire station which was built in 1929. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.It was designed by Santa Ana architect Frederick Eley. It is a two-story Spanish Colonial Revival-style, stuccoed building.

The Cypress Street Schoolhouse, also known simply as Cypress Schoolhouse, is historic former elementary school building in Orange, California built in 1931. It is a one story structure built in classic Spanish Colonial Revival architecture with stucco walls and a clay tile roof. The building hosted educational classes ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. It is one of the last remaining public school buildings in Southern California that was used as a segregated school for Mexican American students. The school officially closed in 1944, just three years shy of the landmark California Supreme Court decision Mendez, et al v. Westminster School District which desegregated public schools in California. The school house is owned by Chapman University. Cypress Street Schoolhouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 7, 2015.
