Argyle Secondary School

Lynn Valley Elementary School (usually referred to as "Lynn Valley Elementary") is a public school in Lynn Valley section of the District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The school, part of School District 44 North Vancouver, serves children in kindergarten through seventh grade. A total of 349 students attended Lynn Valley in 2020. The large increase was due to the closing of a nearby Elementary School (Fromme). Most of the students elected to attend Lynn Valley. As of 2018, the principal is Mrs. Chanin Smyth and its Vice Principal is Mrs. Kendra Arkinstall.Having completed 100 or more student environmental education projects, the school is a "Green School" within the Green Schools Project of the SEEDS Foundation.

Lynn Valley is a neighbourhood in the District of North Vancouver, British Columbia. Located at the northern edge of Metro Vancouver, it sits between Mount Fromme and Mount Seymour. The area's natural parks include Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve (formerly known as the "Seymour Demonstration Forest") and Lynn Canyon Park, whose main attraction is the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. Lynn Valley is named after British Royal Engineer John Linn, who settled in the area after 1869. The main intersection of Lynn Valley Road and Mountain Highway is the location of the Main Library and Town Centre. The area is now known as Lynn Valley Village.

The Vancouver Waldorf School is an independent Waldorf school with preschool, kindergarten and grades 1 to 12. The administrative offices, early childhood centre, and grade school are located at 2725 St Christophers Road in North Vancouver, British Columbia. The high school is at a separate location in Edgemont Village and the Lifeways childcare centre is in Moodyville. The curriculum includes an emphasis on experiential learning.The school is a member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.

Sutherland Secondary School is a public high school in the city of North Vancouver, British Columbia and part of School District 44 North Vancouver. Sutherland Secondary School was at one time a junior high school. At the time, many students then went on to Carson Graham Secondary or Argyle Secondary. Throughout the years, Sutherland's greatest sporting rival has been Handsworth Secondary. Sutherland had been rebuilt in its present location on a gravel field, as it was the second oldest school in the district. The new school was finished in the fall of 2007, followed by the completion of a new artificial field in the spring of 2008. It was the filming location of all the high school scenes in the CW show Life Unexpected. in the fall of 2009. In the 1980s, several episodes of the TV show 21 Jump Street were also filmed at the school. In 2018 the Disney Chanel movie Freaky Friday was filmed throughout the school. Over the summer of 2019 the Netflix series The Healing Powers of Dude used the school's interior and exterior for filming.

Mountain View Park in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is a natural park, pond, and upland area (beyond the park boundaries) categorized as a Woody Wetland, inside a second-growth temperate rain forest. It is critical habitat to a species at risk, and one of the few remaining viable wetlands left in the District of North Vancouver. Forested greenbelt with informal trails, noted in the District OCP as future neighborhood park.

Brockton School' is an independent, co-educational school located in the Lynn Valley neighbourhood of the district municipality of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It comprises both a Junior and a Senior School, with students from Junior Kindergarten to grade 6 and grades 7 to 12 respectively.

The Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge is a pedestrian bridge located within Lynn Canyon Park, in the District of North Vancouver, British Columbia. It is 50 metres (160 ft) high from the bottom of the canyon. The bridge was built as a private venture in 1912. The bridge connects the extensive hiking trails on the two sides of the canyon and is part of the Baden-Powell Trail. However, many of the tourists do not hike, and only visit the suspension bridge. The free-to-access bridge is often compared to the nearby and widely advertised Capilano Suspension Bridge. While the bridge is shorter and not as high, it is narrower and moves around more when people walk on it. For many locals, a major part of the attraction is the difference in price.

Lynn Canyon Park is a municipal park in the District of North Vancouver, British Columbia. When the park officially opened in 1912 it was only 12 acres (4.9 ha) in size, but it now encompasses 617 acres (250 ha). The park has many hiking trails of varying length and difficulty. The Baden-Powell Trail passes through the park crossing over the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. Due to its natural landscape many TV series such as Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis used the area for filming.

Upper Lonsdale is a suburban area in both the City and District of North Vancouver. This area runs north of Highway 1 (around 24th Street) to the corner of Lonsdale and Rockland (where Lonsdale Avenue comes to an end). The first 5 blocks up Lonsdale Avenue (from 25th Street to 29th Street) are part of the City of North Vancouver, while the remaining blocks (29th Street to Rockland) belong to the District of North Vancouver. Upper Lonsdale is the more residential part of Lonsdale Avenue, although it does have a couple of blocks of shops and services (all of which run from 29th Street up to Kings Road—only two blocks). The peak of Lonsdale Avenue (where it meets Rockland) sits at an elevation of 850 feet above sea level whereas Lower Lonsdale (a mere 5 minute drive south) sits at sea level at some points). The bus line 230 to Upper Lonsdale and Lonsdale Quay serves the area all the way up to the end of Lonsdale Avenue, before going down Rockland Street. North Shore Studios is a film company located in the North Vancouver, British Columbia. Acquired by Bosa Developments in 2006, it was previously part of Lions Gate Entertainment and was then known as Lionsgate Studios. There are 8 stages totaling 132,435 square feet ranging from 11,000 to 20,000 square feet as well as streetscape. There is also 100,000 square feet of office space.

Central Lonsdale is a precinct in the city of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It extends from Keith Road to Highway 1 near 24th Street. Central Lonsdale is somewhat densely populated, having many apartment buildings and stores on Lonsdale Avenue. Central Lonsdale is proud of many unique Green Homes such as first Net-Zero Home in whole Canada. 15th St West and Jones Ave, 20th St West and Mahon Ave as well as two side by side Green Homes at 19th St West and Jones Ave are examples of so advanced future homes.

Capilano University (CapU) is a teaching-focused public university based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, located on the slopes of the North Shore Mountains, with programming that also serves the Sea-to-Sky Corridor and the Sunshine Coast. The university is named after Chief Joe Capilano Sa7plek (Sahp-luk) who was the leader of the Squamish people (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh) from 1895 to 1910. Capilano University's degree programs are approved by the Government of British Columbia’s Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. The degree-granting powers of the university are legislated by British Columbia's University Act. In 2012, CapU became Canada's first university to receive accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (or NWCCU) in Washington, one of six major regional agencies in the U.S. that are recognized by the United States Department of Education.Capilano University's sports teams, The Blues, have won 15 national titles in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association, and 61 provincial titles in the Pacific Western Athletic Association.The university was originally founded as Capilano College by school boards and residents of the North Shore and Howe Sound in 1968 based on the need for a public institution serving the local communities immediately northwest of Vancouver. Initial enrollment was 784 students. In 2008, the province changed Capilano College's designation to a university and, as of 2019, it has grown to enroll approximately 12,700 students per year. Capilano University's academic offerings include nationally and internationally recognized liberal arts, professional, and career programs which lead to degrees, diplomas, and certificates.
