Upper Lonsdale

Balmoral Junior Secondary School was a public high school in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, part of School District 44 North Vancouver. Since the French immersion program left Balmoral Junior Secondary in 2003, that institution saw declining enrollment, to the point where the school closed in 2009. The property has since been repurposed to hold the grade 8 and 9 classes of Carson Graham Secondary while that school undergoes a facilities upgrade. The Balmoral building, redesignated as the Carson Graham Secondary Balmoral Campus, was phased out in 2012 following the completion of the work at Carson Graham. In 2013 it became Mountainside Secondary School, an alternative school for students between grades 9 and 12.

Central Lonsdale is a precinct in the city of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It extends from Keith Road to Highway 1 near 24th Street. Sutherland Secondary School is a public high school in the city of North Vancouver, British Columbia and part of School District 44 North Vancouver. Sutherland Secondary School was at one time a junior high school. At the time, many students then went on to Carson Graham Secondary or Argyle Secondary. Throughout the years, Sutherland's greatest sporting rival has been Handsworth Secondary. Sutherland had been rebuilt in its present location on a gravel field, as it was the second oldest school in the district. The new school was finished in the fall of 2007, followed by the completion of a new artificial field in the spring of 2008. It was the filming location of all the high school scenes in the CW show Life Unexpected. in the fall of 2009. In the 1980s, several episodes of the TV show 21 Jump Street were also filmed at the school. In 2018 the Disney Chanel movie Freaky Friday was filmed throughout the school. Over the summer of 2019 the Netflix series The Healing Powers of Dude used the school's interior and exterior for filming.

The former First Church of Christ, Scientist is an historic Christian Science church edifice located at 189 Keith Road on the eastern end of Victoria Park in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was designed in the Classical Revival style by the noted British Columbia architectural firm of Honeyman and Curtis. Built in 1925, it is a single-storey wooden building with basement. The city of North Vancouver has declared that the building is "valued for its architecture and classically-inspired details" and "distinguished by a formal central entrance and consistent, refined detailing". Saying that its: "Columns, symmetry and fenestration all contribute to its strong sense of proportion and formality", the city on January 1, 1995, designated it a primary local heritage site.On January 4, 2008, First Church of Christ, Scientist sold its building to North Shore Bethel Christian Mennonite Brethren Church.

St Paul’s Indian Residential School (also known as the Squamish Indian Residential School or St. Francis Indian Residential School) was a Canadian Indian residential school located in the City of North Vancouver, in the 500 block of West Keith Road on what is now the parking lot of the St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary School. It was a Roman Catholic school operated from 1899 to 1958 by the Order of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The students of the school came from the adjacent Mission Reserve as well other Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam peoples.

Lower Lonsdale is a historic waterfront neighbourhood in the city of North Vancouver. Lower Lonsdale runs up Lonsdale Avenue from Lonsdale Quay to Keith Road. The area is characterized by its progressive feel of trendy businesses, a high end sex shop, outdoor fitness stores, eclectic cafes, and diverse restaurants. With a history of shipbuilding, in 2021 Lower Lonsdale underwent a major waterfront renewal processes. The old shipyards have been torn down, making way for new public spaces, buildings, condominiums, and fashionable outlets.

The Vancouver Waldorf School is an independent Waldorf school with preschool, kindergarten and grades 1 to 12. The administrative offices, early childhood centre, and grade school are located at 2725 St Christophers Road in North Vancouver, British Columbia. The high school is at a separate location in Edgemont Village and the Lifeways childcare centre is in Moodyville. The curriculum includes an emphasis on experiential learning.The school is a member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.

Argyle Secondary School is a high school and an arts program focused school in the Upper Lynn Valley school district of North Vancouver (District), in British Columbia, Canada. In the 2011–2012 school year, enrollment was 1,445.

The Lonsdale Tunnel is a 1,640 ft (500 m) freight railway tunnel in North Vancouver, British Columbia, running under Lonsdale Avenue and parallel to Esplanade Ave between St. Georges and Chesterfield Ave. It was built by the Vancouver Harbour and Wharves Commission, from 1928 on, to separate industrial freight from traffic and street cars on Lonsdale Ave and connect the Pacific Great Eastern Railway to the new Second Narrows Bridge.
