Hazelmere is a suburb of Perth, 14 kilometres (9 mi) east of the Perth central business district, in the City of Swan. Bordered by Roe Highway to the east, and the Great Eastern Highway Bypass to the south, Hazelmere is at the northern edge of Perth Airport land.

Ashfield is a Transperth railway station located 9.2 kilometres (5.7 mi) north-east of Perth railway station, Western Australia, on the Midland line. It serves the suburb of Ashfield.

Morley railway station is a bus and railway station under construction as part of the Metronet Morley–Ellenbrook Line, serving the Perth suburbs of Bayswater, Embleton and Morley. It is to be built in the median strip of Tonkin Highway at Broun Avenue.

The Railway Museum, also known as the Rail Transport Museum, is situated in Bassendean, Western Australia. It is run by the Western Australian division of the Australian Railway Historical Society (ARHS), which is called Rail Heritage WA. In the early days of operation it had in places been known as the Western Australian Rail Transport Museum, and more recently, Rail Transport Museum. On the internet and social media, it has been referred in variants with qualifiers of the location name such as the Bassendean Rail Museum and Rail Heritage Museum Bassendean.The standard name is currently utilised as the Railway Museum.

Ashfield is a residential suburb of Perth, Western Australia in the Town of Bassendean. The suburb is located along the Swan River. The Midland line passes through the suburb and it is serviced by the Ashfield railway station. It is home to Ashfield Reserve, which also contains Ashfield Arena. It also contains Ashfield Flats, the largest river flat remaining in the Perth metropolitan area.The housing was originally established as small collection of railway houses near the train line. In the late 1950s early 1960s the area experienced a small boom of housing (400 houses) mostly built by the then State Housing Commission partly funded by the sale of half the properties to individuals. In the late 1960s the State Housing started to reacquire some of those properties. During the late 1990s the suburb underwent a revamp driven by the State Housing Commission, now called the Department of Housing. This occurred in conjunction with the infill sewage project which was created to convert Perth homes from septic tanks and leach drains to mains sewage. They bulldozed houses on land where they had adjoining properties. For every three houses removed five to seven were built in their place. The majority of these were sold off to low income and first home buyers. The Department of Housing still owns about 22% of the houses (as opposed to their stated goal of 10%), and uses their housing stock as subsidised rental accommodation. The deepest point of the Swan River upstream from Melville Water occurs in Ashfield. It was in this area the farthest upstream recording of sharks occurred with one being caught in the late 1970s.

Embleton is a suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, located 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north-east of the central business district, between the suburbs of Morley and Bayswater. Its local government area is the City of Bayswater.

Bayswater is a suburb 6 km (4 mi) north-east of the central business district (CBD) of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. It is just north of the Swan River, within the City of Bayswater local government area. It is predominantly a low-density residential suburb consisting of single-family detached homes. However, there are several clusters of commercial buildings, most notably in the suburb's town centre, around the intersection of Whatley Crescent and King William Street and a light industrial area in the suburb's east. Prior to European settlement, the Mooro group of the Whadjuk Noongar people inhabited the area. In 1830, the year after the European settlement of the Swan River Colony, land along the river was divided between the colonists, who moved in soon after. Most either died or left in the months following, leaving the area undeveloped for most of the 19th century. In 1881, the Fremantle–Guildford railway line was built, triggering the founding of the Bayswater Estate, the first development in the area, and in 1897, the Bayswater Road Board was founded, giving Bayswater its own local government. At first, development consisted of nurseries, market gardens and dairies, but as time went on, Bayswater became more and more suburban. Today, Bayswater is fully suburbanised, with the subdividing of older lots being commonplace. Plans for apartments around Bayswater and Meltham railway stations are a contentious issue. Parks and wetlands, including the Baigup Wetlands, the Eric Singleton Bird Sanctuary and Riverside Gardens. There are other parks throughout the suburb, including Bert Wright Park, Halliday Park (which includes a war memorial), Hillcrest Reserve and Houghton Park line Bayswater's Swan River foreshore. Major roads through the suburb include Guildford Road, which connects to the Perth CBD and Tonkin Highway.

Bassendean railway station is a Transperth station located in Bassendean, 10.8 kilometres (6.7 mi) north-east of Perth railway station, on the Midland Line.

Bassendean is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Western Australia. The district is based in the eastern suburbs of Perth. It is a safe Labor seat.

The Bassendean Fire Station, at 10-14 Parker Street, Bassendean, Western Australia, is a historic fire station. It is a one-storey brick and tile building, with elements of Inter-War Stripped Classical architecture styling, from its construction in 1934 and expansion in 1969–71. The listing included outbuildings and a ladder training tower at the rear.The station closed in 2013, after the Department of Fire and Emergency Services moved services to Kiara.It was listed by the Heritage Council on the State Register of Western Australia.
