Great Ness and Little Ness are civil parishes in Shropshire, England.

Nesscliffe is a village in Shropshire, England, located north of the River Severn. The village comes under the Great Ness parish. The A5 road, which previously ran through the village, now runs around the village on a dual-carriageway by-pass.

Ruyton-XI-Towns ( "ry-tən eleven towns"), formally Ruyton of the Eleven Towns or simply Ruyton, is a village and civil parish next to the River Perry in Shropshire, England. It had a population of 1,379 at the 2011 Census. The preparatory school Packwood Haugh is north of the village. Footpaths south of the village lead to the sandstone promontory known as The Cliffe. It is still an area of common land, which is the northern section of the Nesscliffe Hill Country Park.

Adcote School is a non-selective independent day and boarding school for girls, located in the village of Little Ness, 5 miles (8.0 km) northwest of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. The school was founded in 1907, and is set in a Grade I listed country house built in 1879 for Rebecca Darby, the widow of Alfred Darby I (1807–52) and a great niece of Abraham Darby. The Darbys were the iron-master family who built Ironbridge. The school has a Junior School that takes girls aged 7 to 11, a Senior School for girls aged 11 to 16 and a Sixth Form taking girls from 16 to 19. As of April 2016, the school is owned by IQ Education (IQE), a Chinese backed education company based in Birmingham. The school transferred from a charity to a limited company status, managed by IQ Schools Group. The school is a sister school to Myddelton College in Denbigh, owned by the same company.The school is a member of the Girls School Association, the Independent Schools Association (ISA) and the Independent Schools Council. On 26 February 2021, the school won the 'ISA Senior School of the Year Award'.

Shrawardine railway station was a station in Shrawardine, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1866 and closed in 1933.

Shrawardine is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Montford, in the Shropshire district, in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. It is 5.9 miles (9.5 km) outside Shrewsbury. In 1931 the parish had a population of 176. On 1 April 1934 the parish was abolished and merged with Montford.

Packwood Haugh School is a co-educational private preparatory school for pupils from the ages of 4 to 13, offering places for both day and boarding pupils. It is located in Ruyton-XI-Towns, midway between Oswestry and Shrewsbury in Shropshire, England. Fees are around £6 000 a term.

Kinton is a hamlet in Shropshire, England. It is part of the civil parish of Great Ness, and is situated to the west of the A5 road. Richard Mathews, the father of Oliver Mathews – the first historian of Shrewsbury – lived in Kinton.

Nesscliffe and Pentre railway station was a station in Nesscliffe, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1866 and closed in 1933.

Broomfields is a hamlet in Shropshire, England. It is located north of Montford Bridge and near to the hamlets of Forton Heath and Grafton. It is in the parish of Montford. It used to have its own 7 1/4 gauge garden railway at Broomfields Villa called Broomfields Garden Railway (BGR) from the late 1980s until 2008 when the house was sold, a video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLkMdJS7jho Looking from Google Earth the trackbed around the field the track used to be is visible. Alberbury Priory was a medieval monastic house in Alberbury, Shropshire, England, established c.1230. It was one of three houses in England belonging to the French Grandmontine Order.The monastery was small, with only 7 monks under a prior in occupancy in 1344, possibly supported by 'lay brothers' who did manual work.In 1359, the then prior of Alberbury was deposed for alleged violence, murder, and dissipation of the priory's goods. In 1364, one of his successors was outlawed for alleged murder and fled the house.Alberbury Priory was dissolved in 1441 when King Henry VI, who had seized the alien houses during the Hundred Years War, gave it as an endowment to All Souls' College, Oxford.

Shrewsbury is to the south-east, Oswestry is to the north-west, and Wem is to the north-east of Baschurch. The village is also close to Ruyton-XI-Towns.
