Ragama (Sinhala: රාගම Tamil: ரா௧ம) is an outer suburb of Colombo, located in the Gampaha District, Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is governed by the Ja-Ela Divisional Secretariat.

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kelaniya located in Ragama, is one of eleven state medical schools in Sri Lanka. It is on a 35-acre (140,000 m2) campus at Ragama, and the faculty began classes with the admission of 120 students in September 1991. Before that it was called the North Colombo Medical College (NCMC).

Navy Ground is a cricket ground in Welisara, Sri Lanka. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 2002 when Galle Cricket Club Under-23s played Nugegoda Sports and Welfare Club Under-23s. First-class cricket was first played there in 2006 when Burgher Recreation Club played Saracens Sports Club in the 2006/07 Premier Trophy. To date twenty first-class matches have been held there, though home side Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club didn't start playing there until the 2009/10 season. The first List A was held there in the 2006/07 Premier Limited Overs Tournament when Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club played Sri Lanka Army Sports Club. To date, ten List A matches have been played there.

Kadawatha (or Kadawata) (Sinhala: කඩවත Tamil: கடவத) is a large suburb of Gampaha, in the Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is situated on the A1 highway, approximately 16 km (9.9 mi) away from the centre of Colombo. Industrial machines, factories, diesel motor houses, strategic investments and leisure destinations are some of the industries established there. Kadawatha is a collection of many ruralities, including Biyagama, Mahara, Ganemulla, Kirillawala, Rammuthugala, Dalupitiya, Karagahamuna (upper and lower), Biyanwila (upper and lower) and Kirimatiyagaraya. Kadawatha is mainly administrated by the Mahara Pradeshiya Sabha and some parts by the Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha. It is a structured and infrastructure-rich Colombo suburb with the several Schools, Buddhist temples and Catholic and Christian churches. Demographically, Kadawatha area is predominantly Sinhalese and partially Tamils with a majority of them being Buddhists but there is a sizable Catholic and Hindu minority. Along with recent expressway developments within the island Kadawatha has been selected as a major Colombo Expressway interchange which connects Southern, Airport and Central expressway. The recently built Kadawatha city bypass has added great convenience to motorists. The new Court complex, now in operation, is close to city bypass.

Naval Boat Building Yard (NBBY) is a shipyard of the Sri Lanka Navy situated in Welisara that produce small and specialist watercraft for the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, state institutions and civilians.

Founded during the British era, Ganemulla (Sinhala: ගණේමුල්ල, Tamil: கணேமுல்லை) is a midsize town situated in the Gampaha District of Sri Lanka. Ganemulla is about 9 km (5.6 mi) from Kadawatha on the Colombo-Kandy road. The nearest city to Ganemulla is Gampaha, which is about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) away. Ganemulla is surrounded by the towns of Kadawatha, Gampaha, Ja-Ela and Kandana. The population in Ganemulla now exceeds 6,000 and is increasing. The majority of the population are Sinhalese Buddhist, with a small Catholic minority.The Sri Lanka Army Commando Regiment is based in Ganemulla.

De Mazenod College (DMC), founded in 1931, is a Catholic school in Kandana, Sri Lanka, now managed by the De La Salle Brothers. De Mazenod College is a mixed school and has classes from grade 1 to grade 13. Classes are conducted in Sinhala as well as English. Girls are admitted to the school from grade 6 upwards.

Kandana (Sinhala: කඳාන, Tamil: கந்தானை) is a suburb of Gampaha in Western Province, Sri Lanka, 19 km (12 mi) north of the Colombo city centre. Due to the proximity to Negombo as well as the Bandaranaike International Airport, the suburb is a popular residential area. The neighboring suburbs are Ja-Ela, Ragama, Peralanda and Wattala.

Basilica College (RBC), founded in 1993, is a Catholic school in Ragama, Sri Lanka, managed by the Ragama Zonal Ediucation Office and is affiliated with the Religious of the Virgin Mary order. Basilica College is a mixed school and has classes from grade 6 to grade 13. Classes are conducted in Sinhala as well as English. The college houses is Gamunu, Vijaya, and Parakum. Old Basilicans Association start with about 15 members was inaugurated in 2015,
