Naval Boat Building Yard (NBBY) is a shipyard of the Sri Lanka Navy situated in Welisara that produce small and specialist watercraft for the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, state institutions and civilians.

Ragama (Sinhala: රාගම Tamil: ரா௧ம) is an outer suburb of Colombo, located in the Gampaha District, Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is governed by the Ja-Ela Divisional Secretariat.

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kelaniya located in Ragama, is one of eleven state medical schools in Sri Lanka. It is on a 35-acre (140,000 m2) campus at Ragama, and the faculty began classes with the admission of 120 students in September 1991. Before that it was called the North Colombo Medical College (NCMC).

Mabola or Mabole is a town and Urban Council in Gampaha District in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. With Wattala it forms Wattala–Mabola urban council. It is located in Negombo road and it is the route for travel to Bandaranaike International Airport. The newly constructed, Sri Lanka's second E Class highway, Colombo - Katunayake Expressway E03 crosses to the seaside through Mabola.

Kerewalapitiya is a suburb of Wattala, which acts an interchange to connect the Airport Expressway and the OCE-Expressway. Kerawalpitiya has opened an icon for Sri Lanka's largest privately owned power station, the Yugadanavi Power Station, and the beach resorts are attested in provision to satisfy the creation to the Airport Expressway and the reclamation of the old Dutch Canal.

The Yugadanavi Power Station (also known as Kerawalapitiya Power Station) is a large oil-fired power station in Sri Lanka. The 300 MW power station is located in Kerawalapitiya, in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. Construction of the power station began in November 2007, and progressed in two phases, with the first 200 MW phase completing in a record 10 months, and the second phase completing later in February 2010. Phase 1 of the power station was ceremonially inaugurated by President Mahinda Rajapakse on 8 December 2008. The US$300 million power station was supported by a €152 million debt component through HSBC, which was supported by export credit agencies in the United States, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, France, and Austria.

St. Sebastian's Church, Enderamulla (Sinhala: සා. සෙබස්තියන් දේවස්ථානය, එඬේරමුල්ල) is a Roman Catholic church in the Archdiocese of Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is located in Enderamulla, Wattala. The church was established in 1891. After being a co‑parish with Dalugama (1879–1903) and Kirimetiyagara (1903–1934), it was declared as an independent parish in 1934. A tiny fragment of Saint Sebastian's forearm bone is preserved in a special reliquary, which is located together with the Monstrance in a glass chamber inside the eucharistic chapel on the left side of the main church building.

Sobadhanavi Power Station is a 350MW LNG-fired combined cycle power station located in Kerawalapitiya, Sri Lanka. The first phase of 220MW was commissioned on 28 August 2024, consisting of a single F-class gas turbine manufactured by Siemens Energy. The second phase in anticipated to be completed by early 2025.

De Mazenod College (DMC), founded in 1931, is a Catholic school in Kandana, Sri Lanka, now managed by the De La Salle Brothers. De Mazenod College is a mixed school and has classes from grade 1 to grade 13. Classes are conducted in Sinhala as well as English. Girls are admitted to the school from grade 6 upwards.

Kandana (Sinhala: කඳාන, Tamil: கந்தானை) is a suburb of Gampaha in Western Province, Sri Lanka, 19 km (12 mi) north of the Colombo city centre. Due to the proximity to Negombo as well as the Bandaranaike International Airport, the suburb is a popular residential area. The neighboring suburbs are Ja-Ela, Ragama, Peralanda and Wattala.

Basilica College (RBC), founded in 1993, is a Catholic school in Ragama, Sri Lanka, managed by the Ragama Zonal Ediucation Office and is affiliated with the Religious of the Virgin Mary order. Basilica College is a mixed school and has classes from grade 6 to grade 13. Classes are conducted in Sinhala as well as English. The college houses is Gamunu, Vijaya, and Parakum. Old Basilicans Association start with about 15 members was inaugurated in 2015,

The Aitken Spence Power Station (formerly referred to as the Meethotamulla Power Station) is a municipal solid waste-fired thermal power station currently under construction at Muthurajawela, Sri Lanka. It was originally planned to be built at Meethotamulla, the site of a large solid waste landfill which was under international media spotlight after the 2017 Meethotamulla garbage landslide which killed over 30 people. The power station will operate approximately 7500 hours a year, utilizing the 700 metric tons (1,500,000 lb) of fresh waste from the Colombo Municipal Council area, daily. The power station in being built together with the KCHT Power Station. The facility will generate 11.5 megawatt (MW) of power, of which 9.7 MW will be sold to the state-owned Ceylon Electricity Board, at a rate of Rs. 37.10 per KWh generated. Construction of the US$98 million power station began on 10 August 2017, and is expected to complete by 2020. It will be operated by Western Power Company Limited, a subsidiary of Aitken Spence. The power station's PUCSL energy license is EL/GS/13-03.
