North Tenmile Lake

Tenmile Lake is the largest and southernmost of a chain of lakes along the Oregon Coast south of the Umpqua River in the United States. The chain includes North Tenmile, Eel, Clear, and smaller lakes, which drain into the Pacific Ocean via Tenmile Creek. The lake is 8 miles (13 km) south of Reedsport and 0.5 miles (0.80 km) east of U.S. Route 101 near the community of Lakeside.Tenmile Lake is named after the creek, which is about 10 miles (16 km) south of Winchester Bay. This community, at the mouth of the Umpqua River, was the earliest pioneer village along this part of the coast. Although the lake's official name is Tenmile Lake, it was formerly called Johnson Lake and South Tenmile Lake.

William M. Tugman State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Oregon. Administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD), the park borders Eel Lake, about 8 miles (13 km) south of Reedsport near U.S. Route 101.Tugman Park has 94 campsites for recreational vehicles (RVs) as well as 16 yurts for hikers and bikers; a day-use area, a boat ramp, a fishing dock, and a hiking trail. Activities on or near the lake include fishing, swimming, boating, and wildlife watching. The lake supports populations of largemouth bass, crappie, stocked rainbow trout, steelhead (sea-run rainbow trout), and Coho salmon, the latter of which must be released if caught.William M. Tugman (1894–1961) was a journalist from Eugene and Reedsport. In 1957, he became the first chairman of the OPRD Advisory Committee, which made recommendations to the governor about state parks.

Tenmile is an unincorporated community in Coos County, Oregon, United States. It is about 8 miles (13 km) south of Winchester Bay and one mile (1.6 km) west of Lakeside, on U.S. Route 101 next to Tenmile Creek and the Oregon Dunes. Tenmile Lake was named for Tenmile Creek, which was said to be ten miles south of Winchester Bay.

Saunders Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Coos County, Oregon, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The CDP is in northwestern Coos County, along U.S. Route 101, 11 miles (18 km) north of Coos Bay and 16 miles (26 km) south of Reedsport. Saunders Lake, a small water body, is in the northern part of the CDP, draining north through Clear Lake to Saunders Creek, which flows north to Tenmile Creek between Lakeside and the Pacific Ocean. The Saunders Lake CDP is bordered to the west by the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.

Tenmile Creek is the outlet for a chain of lakes ending at Tenmile Lake near Lakeside in Coos County in the U.S. state of Oregon.
