The Academy of Fine Arts Sarajevo (Bosnian: Akademija likovnih umjetnosti Sarajevo / Академија ликовних умјетности Сарајево, acronym: ALU) is a faculty within the University of Sarajevo in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, dedicated to the fine arts.It was established in 1972 as an institution of higher education by eminent professors, scientists, and acclaimed artists who were educated primarily in Belgrade, Ljubljana, and Zagreb.

The University of Sarajevo Faculty of Law (Bosnian: Pravni fakultet Univerziteta u Sarajevu), also known as the Sarajevo Law School, is one of the leading schools of the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The school is located in Sarajevo's downtown district next to the Latin Bridge and not far from Baščaršija, the city's historical and cultural center.

ARIA Centar, formerly known as BBI Centar, is a shopping mall in the center of Sarajevo. It is one of the largest shopping malls in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an area of 43,000 m2 (460,000 sq ft). It was opened on 6 April 2009. ARIA Centar was built on the site where Robna kuća Sarajka, a popular state-owned department store, stood during the time Bosnia and Herzegovina was part of SFR Yugoslavia. Construction was between 2006 and 2009. The four middle floors are also home to the headquarters of Al Jazeera Balkans. 469 parking spaces with video surveillance are located on three underground floors. The square in front of ARIA Centar is a meeting place for the citizens of Sarajevo. Many events are held on the Square such as an art performance, children's playrooms, workshops, concerts, graduations and sporting events. The International Council of Shopping Centers awarded ARIA Centar with the ReStore Award. This distinction of European Shopping Centre Awards rewards both the developer and the local authority for a successful partnership that delivers a sustainable result for the local and regional community. The European Shopping Center Awards are the supreme awards in European retail property. In October 2022, BBI Centar was renamed to ARIA Centar.

The Čobanija Bridge is an iron bridge, located in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which crosses the River Miljacka. It was erected in 1887. The bridge stands on a site previously occupied by a wooden bridge, known as the Šejhanija bridge, which had been built in the 16th century.

Dom Mladih ("Youth Centre Skenderija") is a multifunctional venue of modern concept and interior, located in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of Skenderija, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, consisting of a dance hall with a capacity of 2000 visitors and the amphitheater with a capacity of up to 600 visitors.Many pop and rock groups as well as entertainers have started their careers as unknowns in "Dom Mladih", later to become renowned musicians throughout the region and the world: Kemal Monteno, Bijelo Dugme, Dino Merlin, Indexi, Crvena jabuka, Plavi orkestar, Ambasadori, Regina, SCH and many others.

The Sarajevo National Theatre (Bosnian and Serbian: Narodno pozorište Sarajevo, Народно позориште Сарајево, Croatian: Narodno kazalište Sarajevo) was founded in November 1921.The opening ceremony was led by Branislav Nušić, then Head of the Art Department of the Ministry of Education. On November 9, 1946, the Sarajevo Opera House commenced its artistic activity with the premiere of B. Smetana's The Bartered Bride. The Sarajevo Ballet was also founded in 1946, but its first independent performance, The Harvest by B. Papandopulo, was postponed until May 25, 1950. This performance marked the beginning of its professional development within the national Theatre.The building was designed by architect Karel Pařík, who designed over 160 other buildings in Sarajevo.

The JU Center for Culture and Youth of the Center Municipality Sarajevo, commonly known as the Jelićeva Theatre, established by the Center Municipality in 1965, is an institution focused on enriching the lives of children, youth, and adults through a range of cultural and educational programs, with a particular emphasis on theatre and the performing arts.

Open Stage Obala (Bosnian: Otvorena scena Obala; Serbo-Croatian Cyrillic: Отворена сцена Обала) is an alternative theatre affiliated with the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It serves as both a teaching venue and a platform for presenting student projects from acting, directing, and dramaturgy exams, as well as hosting professional theater productions and film screenings.

Čobanija Mosque (Bosnian: Džamija Čobanija) was constructed in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, before 1565. The building is quite spacious, with a fine stone minaret. Set into the walls around the minaret is a poem in Turkish. There is a cemetery adjacent to the mosque, which some believe is the final resting place of the benefactor, Čoban-Hasan.In 2007, a proposal was adopted for the mosque to be listed as a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Sarajevo Youth Theatre (Bosnian: Pozorište mladih Sarajevo / Позориште младих Сарајево) is a children's and youth theatre in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was founded in 1950 under the name Pioneer Theatre. It is the largest theatre of its kind in the country.

The 1992 Yugoslav People's Army column incident in Sarajevo occurred on 3 May 1992 in Dobrovoljačka Street, Sarajevo, when members of the Bosnian army (ARBiH) attacked a convoy of the Yugoslav army (JNA) troops that were exiting the city of Sarajevo according to the withdrawal agreement.

Skenderija is a cultural, sports and trade center located in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the area of 70,000 square meters there are multipurpose halls for various sports, concert and cultural venues, and trade areas above ground including square. Underground is a modern shopping center "Privredni grad" (English: Commercial City) with numerous confectionery shops, restaurants, coffee bars and other spaces. Skenderija consists of several venues which include: Dom Mladih, Ars Aevi and Mirza Delibašić Hall.
