WHOT-FM (101.1 MHz, "Hot 101") is a commercial radio station in Youngstown, Ohio. It airs a contemporary hit radio format. It is one of seven radio stations in the Youngstown market owned by Cumulus Media. It carries syndicated shows from Adam Bomb on afternoons and Carson Daly on Sunday mornings. The studios and transmitter are on Simon Road at Mayport Avenue in Boardman, using a Youngstown address.

WMXY (98.9 FM "Mix 98.9") is a commercial radio station in Youngstown, Ohio. It broadcasts a mainstream adult contemporary radio format and switches to all-Christmas music for much of November and December. WMXY is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. It is the Youngstown network affiliate for the Delilah syndicated music and call-in show in the evening, and carries the Ellen K Weekend Show Saturdays and Casey Kasem's classic American Top 40 on Sundays. WMXY has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 5,900 watts. The transmitter is off South Avenue in Boardman, Ohio. WMXY broadcasts in the HD Radio hybrid format. The HD-2 digital subchannel formerly carried an alternative rock format branded as "Indie Radio."

WYTV (channel 33) is a television station in Youngstown, Ohio, United States, affiliated with ABC and MyNetworkTV. It is owned by Vaughan Media, which maintains joint sales and shared services agreements (JSA/SSA) with Nexstar Media Group, owner of CBS affiliate WKBN-TV (channel 27) and low-power Fox affiliate WYFX-LD (channel 62), for the provision of certain services. The three stations share studios on Sunset Boulevard in Youngstown's Pleasant Grove neighborhood, where WYTV's transmitter is also located.

Lansingville is a neighborhood in Youngstown, Ohio. Located on the city's south side, the area was named for John Lansing. The neighborhood was dominated by Slovak Americans, the majority of whom were Roman Catholic, during much of the 20th century. The Lansingville neighborhood developed rapidly with the expansion of the city's south side in the late 19th century and early 20th century. The district's growth was made possible by the construction of the Market Street Bridge, which connected the south side to downtown Youngstown. Immigrants began to settle in the area during the late 19th century, and Lansingville was incorporated into Youngstown in three annexations between 1890 and 1929.While the Lansingville neighborhood drew European immigrants of various backgrounds, including German Americans and Italian Americans, Slovak Americans became the dominant group in the early 20th century. One of the neighborhood's prominent landmarks is St. Matthias Church, which was established by Slovak immigrants who originally belonged to Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, in the Smoky Hollow area of Youngstown.Although this tradition is no longer intact, a custom of many Lansingville residents was to sweep their sidewalks and streets once a week. Today, Lansingville's population is ethnically diverse, although many Slovak-Americans still live there.

The neighborhood is bordered by the City of Youngstown, Ohio to the north and east, Glenwood Avenue to the west, and Forest Glen Estates Historic District to the south. Newport Village is known for its quaint tree-lined residential streets and early twentieth century Tudor revival and colonial revival architecture.

WBBW (1240 AM) is a commercial radio station in Youngstown, Ohio, broadcasting a sports format. The station carries the CBS Sports Radio Network, much of it simulcast with co-owned 96.7 WLLF. WBBW is one of seven radio stations in the Youngstown market owned by Cumulus Media. The radio studios and offices are in "The Radio Center" in Youngstown. Prior to January 2, 2013, WBBW featured programming from ESPN Radio. WBBW carries the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in the collegiate summer baseball league. WBBW and WLLF are also the Youngstown affiliates of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. WBBW has been on the air since February 20, 1949.

Boardman Township is one of the fourteen townships of Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 40,213 at the 2020 census. A suburb directly south of Youngstown, it is the second largest municipality in the Youngstown–Warren metropolitan area and is a major retail hub for the region.

Forest Lawn Memorial Park is a nonsectarian cemetery located in Boardman Township, Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. It was built in the 1930s and added to the National Register in 2018.Notable burials at Forest Lawn include MLB infielder Floyd Baker (1916–2004) and actress Elizabeth Hartman (1943–1987).

Hazelton (also spelled Haselton) is a neighborhood in Youngstown, Ohio, located on the city's east side. It is bordered by the cities of Struthers and Campbell. In the early 20th century, the neighborhood was alternately referred to as "the East End".
